Cabernet Sauvignon, Rib-eye Chicaronnes appetizer/porterhouse steak for 2 fingerling potatoes , cream corn and asparagus entree/ flan (not your ordinary) and horchata ice cream ( I don’t like horchata normally) but this ice cream was delicious. Very pleasant staff! Marcos the Manager is a stand up guy ! We will definitely be back and refer to our friends. Steak was like butter
The ambience and food was exquisite..we definitely dine at Polanco again
This place beyond expectations! Always a pleasure to eat there and chat with the waiters that are Super at their job.
Great food excellent service. We'll definitely return.
Sat at the bar, service was better when sitting at a table, otherwise food was still as awesome as always.
the menu was creative and the food was excellent. Would definitely return to the restaurant. It's very convenient to the 405 -- it's near the exist in the ayres hotel. They have a separate entrance -- don't let the hotel fool you -- this is a great restaurant.
Fucken Amazing ! The food was fantastic and the service was excellent.
I loved that on a Sunday, it was nice and relaxing. The steaks, Brussels sprouts, potatoes and drinks were delicious! I made the drive from Anaheim to Hawthorne just to try it. I would do it again!
We enjoyed it. Ribeye tacos especially good.
I loved the unique food choices and presentation. Everything tasted awesome. Very comfortable seating.
The restaurant is inside the Ayres hotel. It also has its own entrance, so there's no confusion. I love the ambiance upon entering. Nice dim lighting with some reggaeton playing in the background. It's definitely a vibe—perfect local date night. I made reservations for a party of 5. We sat in the lounge area while waiting for our table and a cocktail. We were seated relatively quickly. I'm a booth kind of gal, but they only have open tables, which isn't bad; I happen to like what I like. The seating arrangement is nice and comfortable, I will say. Now let's talk about this grub!! You started off with some complimentary tostadas and a couple of different sauces. The bean dip is yummy would prefer it out, but it's served cold here.
We started off with STREET CORN, OYSTERS, QUESO FUNDIDO, RIB EYE CHICHARRON. Listen, I didn't get to snap photos at that point; we were living and grubbing at the moment. It was delicious; they also give you a small basket of warm tortillas. Ohhh, baby, just you shut your mouth is yummy—the queso fundido paired with the Ribeye Chicharron, a match made in my tummy, okay, lol. I don't do oysters; however, two in our group did, and they say they were fresh and yumoooo. Now here's the only downside It took quite a while to receive our main entrees. So much so, we saw the manager looking in our direction, wondering where our food was. Needless to say, when the food arrived, it was delicious. Three of us ordered the chicken enchiladas, and the other two ordered a
FILET MIGNON and PORK TOMAHAWK. We were all satisfied with our food. Some sides came out later than the rest of the meal, which was a bummer. Also, not a fan of plain white rice and a Mexican restaurant. We collectively agreed on that. Some minor mishaps which is why I gave 4 stars. And our waiter could have been a bit more attentive .I’m would for sure return.
Es una chingoneria de lugar lo recomiendo
Food was good but very expensive. What ruined the meal was that no staff (waiter, busboy) wore masks. Was very unsettling.
I took my granddaughter here for her birthday celebration. I was a bit disappointed that this restaurant does not provide a complimentary dessert for the birthday gal. They asked if we wanted to order dessert and I told the waiter we were celebrating my granddaughter's 22 birthday, he stayed quiet. I then asked my granddaughter if she'd like something and she ordered the cafe del holla flan which she loved it. So when they brought it they place 2 candles on the wood server. They included the charge of $10.00 for the dessert and a $3.00 charge for an additional 4 mini tortillas for the appetizers. The atmosphere and food were delightful but would suggest they provide a complimentary dessert, churro with cream or flan for celebrations free of charge.
First time visitor but definitely not the last. The restaurant threw me off being in a hotel but once we walked in we were impressed with the decor. So many amazing things on the menu but my favorite was the Calamari , Mussels and their Tomahawk Porkchop. Drinks were spot on as well… Definitely one of my go to spots moving forward.
Great service. Delish food.
Authentic, original food and cocktails were all delicious! We truly enjoyed our meal here.
Way too loud to enjoy a nice meal. The steak was very good. The carnitas were tasteless. Overall, overrated. I won't be back. Also interesting to note that the Manager was not wearing a face mask and yet he was wandering all over the place and handling plates of food too. As I said, I won't be back.
Food and drinks were amazing! Lovely staff.
A wonderful eating experience! Our project team loves eating here when we’re in town. The food is great and the service is impeccable!
Beautiful place, great food and drinks.!
A unique menu, with an excellent representation of the Mexican culinary arts!
Great food friendly staff we will be back!
One of the worst food experiences ever. Food was not very good, expensive and disappointing. Super loud music. Never again.
Such fantastic food, service, and ambiance. Our server, Luis, was fantastic! Upscale Mexican food dining experience that was worth the time and money spent.
My experience at the restaurant was amazing! I enjoyed the theme, ambiance, service, and food there.
Took my wife for a bday dinner. Food was excellent. Waiters were attentive and the ambiance was special. We had an amazing time
Food and drinks are great. Service is always good and restaurant has a great ambiance. One of our new favs for a nice dinner.
There is nothing like this in the city! It’s where a traditional Mexican Carne Asada meets elegance to provide an incredible culinary experience. We started with delicious cocktails, followed by the Ribeye Chicharrón the location is beautiful. It slightly resembles the caverns of interior Mexico with lots of rock detail. The music was so good with a tranquil mix of Urbano & Regional.
Overall we had a wonderful night. This will now be our “place” for all special occasion as its truly perfect for anything.
Delicious food and the servers were super nice!
We ordered the fillet minion tacos for 20 and they brought out a filet minion dish, we asked about tortillas because we thought we got tacos. After bringing us tortillas we ate them, thi bill showed a 49 dollar steak and 3 for tortillas. When we asked why, we were told that it was our job to realize that their presentation of the steak wasn’t in their “taco” form (we never had eaten there and are unfamiliar with high end dining) and refused to even apologize or at least comp the tortillas. They condescended my wife when she complained and said “pretty girls deserve nice things” the food was great, but the chef needs to grow up. Unfortunately the wait staff suffered here, the 25 dollar tip on what should have been a $91 meal, became a $0 tip on a $120 meal. I’m not unreasonable, please take responsibility for your mistakes. Bring out a free drink, your margins on booze are huge, could have saved the night and a bad review.
Was our first visit to Polanco and it was a good one! The restaurant is still fairly new, and working out a few kinks, but in terms of food taste and quality, good service, everything was terrific. The food, well ... it's a Mexican "Steak" house and yes, the steak was excellent. We ordered the NY Strip, which sometimes can be chewy and tough, but they have prime meat and the steak was wonderfully tender and tasty and expertly cooked and seasoned. We split if amongst the two of us and with apps, it was plenty big. The caesar salad was great, the lobster enchiladas were pretty darn good .... all the food was terrific. Our waiter "Victor" was very attentive and nice and professional, and we even got to meet one of the owners who was wonderful, and suggested a favorite tequila to drink "neat". A few things to iron out, I ordered a "Cadillac" margarita, and they didn't have Grand Marnier (?) ... shouldn't every tequila forward bar have that? They were out of Rib Eyes, supply chain issues, and a few little niggles like these. But ... never fear, a great night with great food, the restaurant ambiance and design was pretty cool too. I will say the restaurant was really cold temperature wise inside, and the music was very loud ... lively I guess they might say?! Great place, great people, great food, I'll go back, it was a good night and will only get better!!!!
While staying at the Ayers Hotel, I decided to try Polanco. What a pleasant surprise. Great choices of cold and hot appetizers as well as entrees and steaks, which are their specialty. Courteous and friendly service, high quality ingredients and preparation.
Will definitely return and recommend this little hidden gem.
I was pleasantly surprised about this restaurant. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was tasty but a little pricy.
After an endless search for a new place to dine, I found this amazing place on “OpenTable”. I was able to book a reservation online, therefore I was seated immediately. I liked that the restaurant was not crowded. I also enjoyed the music they were playing. I opted for the aguachiles, queso fundido and salad, they were amazing. The aguachiles had a unique taste, which I really liked. For drinks I got a dirty martini and a mango martini, made to perfection. The staff was friendly and professional. I will definitely return to try other items on their menu.
Server was attentive & great personality. Food was exceptional!
Excellent service and food- can’t wait to go back
Really good food & service. Will be back !
