We went to Point Royal for my mom's birthday dinner the last night of our vacation. The manager, Rob, could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Our server Paul was FANTASTIC!!! Wonderful service, food and great overall experience. HIGHLY recommend!
Pork belly over pasta was good as was the grouper.
Service was slow and our appetizer order was forgotten. Also, my wife was not asked if she’d like her drink refilled at same time I was asked.
Our server, Harry, exceeded our expectations & made the dinner a great memory for our family.
We were excited to try out this restaurant as the website shows salad bar for lunch. They don’t have a salad bar here at all. The service was mediocre at best. We ordered the fish and chips and chicken avocado. Both tasted great. The fish and chips were embarrassing! It was 3 tiny tiny pieces that were enough for a toddler to eat. The rest was good however, not enough to recommend this place to friends or to ever go back.
Our first time there...the food was wonderful, the service was wonderful, we highly recommend Point Royal.
Had a great meal and excellent service. Our waiter Paul made us feel very welcome and took great care of us during our dinner.
We had calamari. It was nice and light, as was the accompanying aioli.
My wife ordered the lobster roll. She thought it was excellent. It was dressed very well. Nothing accompanied it on the plate. Fries typically accompany a lobster roll. If the lobster roll had the same frites accompanying my steak it would have elevated the entree for sure.
My son had the cheese pizza, and he ate the entire thing himself. I would say he enjoyed it quite a bit.
I had steak frites. The steak was seasoned well, had a very tasty accompanying sauce, and the frites were excellent. If you put frites on the plate with the lobster roll you could bump the price a few bucks no problem.
We shared the Nutella brownie sundae for dessert. The brownie was excellent and the Nutella proportioned very well.
The sever was very polite and provided excellent service.

We were so excited to book a reservation at a restaurant where it was advertised that Geoffery Zakarian was the chef because my son had actually competed as a contestant on one of the shows he judges.
It started by a superb greeting by the hostess, but from there it either disappointed or was just pedestrian at best. We definitely had better meals during our time in Fort Lauderdale at lower prices.
Once we were shown our table, they did not have enough menus available so we shared. My son's drink order was was wrong and it took 30 minutes from the time we sat down for them to deliver my drink from the bar.
The food menu was just OK, but as noted above, we expected more complex offerings from Geoffrey - not a heavy dose of pizza, burgers, and pasta that did not bring something new versus simpler and cheaper restaurants. The upside was we did find one gem - my son's risotto was very good. However, the chicken look like it had been warmed up and just place on top rather than integrated into the dish. The tuna tartare was just really just cubed tuna over avocado, and while the snapper was good, it was just a nicely cooked fish with chopped vegetables on the side tossed with what seemed to be a bottled vinaigrette.
We ordered the meatball as a starter, but it did not come out and was brought to the table after the fact. It did taste good, but again, wasn't anything different than we could get at any pizza place.
Parking to get to the restaurant was a serous challenge. The waitstaff seemed distracted and the good was well prepared, but instantly forgettable.
That being said, the other diners seemed to be relaxed and having a good time.
I am not sure Point Royal is worth the trip to get there and pay high prices for pizza, but most patrons didn’t seem to care.
Valet parking took 20 minutes. Drinks came out incorrectly. Food wasn’t appetizing. They ran out of All desserts! Cappuccino even came out ice cold! Would never go back extremely disappointed!
Food was Very Good! One of the best chicken breasts I’ve ever had. Service lacking attention to details. Had to ask for water, left sauces in the kitchen, no plates with appetizer, incorrect quantities of apps....Hotel was packed. Valet asked people to self park or wait up to 1 hour. Validate parking or $20 for 3 hours across busy street.
Overall it was nice. But the food and drinks were honestly NOT that great. I had a Lobster Roll that was not even close as good as others I've tried. Their asparagus were quite mediocre, and their salads were poor quality. The calamari appetizer was not up to par. However, the Branzino fish ABSOLUTELY WAS. It was the best fish I've had and that alone is what saved the ratings ive given them. That Branzino fish was unreal. But the drinks were mehhh, the service was not all that great and the other food was not all that great. All in all it was ok but it was too pricey for the quality experience. Except for the Branzino fish, I expected much better.

Plus no place for just peace and quiet also did not enjoy seeing a woman breast feeding child during dinner outside
I don’t usually enjoy going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day because it’s such a rip off, but we are on vacation and had no choice. Luckily, Point Royal was a great choice. They have a great menu and didn’t force you into a crazy expensive fixed price only option. The burrata appetizer was amazing as were our main courses: the steak frites, chicken paillard and burger. All were really delicious, good sized portions, and the meat perfectly cooked to our specifications. Dessert was great too-the Nutella brownie and key lime pie cake. Perfect ending. We also thought our waiter was great-he took good care of us without hovering. He was an older distinguished gentleman and I wish I would have gotten his name to call out his great service. I definitely would love to come back to Point Royal on a future trip!

Our waiter PAUL was charming and represented the Chef and the establishment extraordinarily well! A delightful evening wit b delicious cuisine. Meatball, truffle pizza, steak frite w truffles , risotto...all delicious!
Honestly, the food was excellent, and the setting is very pretty, however, our experience with the waiter was odd. He removed my moms plate and she still had part of her meal on it. At the same time, he brought the bill and said he is going to be getting busy. Never asked us, would you like coffee, tea desert. We said something to him and he was not very nice.
Paul was a fabulous server, made our experience so pleasant and fun. He was so interactive with our daughter, she even wrote him a thank you note! We will make it back before we leave the Diplomat! Mac and Cheese was the best we’ve ever had!
Food was delicious and fresh. Atmosphere was great. Great Service.

Food is yummy, but service is a bit erratic. The service was very good at first, then the waiter disappeared. Our meal was late. We complained and the manager was a
apologetic and gave us free desserts and a discount on the bill.
Paul our waiter really made the whole dinner. We were celebrating my daughter birthday and he was so personable and a joy. Food was amazing.
This is our second meal AT Point Royal. Very nice environment, great food, terrific server and good wine list. How much more can you ask for. Too bad this is I. Florida and we are in NY.

Slow but excellently delivered
the menu was truncated because they were slammed on new years eve and day and not yet restocked. this was a disappointment after coming all the way. we had a delicious veal chop and an oversalted red snapper filet. service was slow. too bad it could have been nicer.
Told us no tables available all night. We reserved one on Opentable in minutes. Delays inside were incredible.

We were on vacation staying at the Diplomat. The food here was spectacular and our waiter, Carl, was wonderful with our kids.
Expected more from a celebrity chef restaurant . Nothing special about the menu at all .In fact I thought I’d was dull, uninspired and was limited in choices . Although service was good we felt like we were being rushed as the lunch time period was coining yo an end . I will put this restaurant in the one and done category.
The restaurant boasts a celebrity chef, but they were unable to accommodate a vegan meal request.
It’s a pleasant place the offerings were of high quality and well prepared. The set up of the buffet was questionable and confusing. Lots of doubles in containers where there nowhere to place the lids when opened, attached lids would be better . As for the cuisine there could have been more attention to the word “Brunch”, no omelets, crepe, pancake of waffle options , no fruit, sad salad selection, no vegan options really.
Paul was excellent as always. A true professional.
Birthday. Our server, Paul, did an exceptional job.
The setting was nice and the service was excellent.

Wife had Mac and cheese an d she enjoyed it.
Our meatball appetizers and calamari were both very good.
Daughter had hanger steak and it was quite good with the skinny fries and a nice dipping sauce.
In regard to recommending it. I would but letting them know its a bit pricey for the fare.
Service was a bit slow but enjoyed the meal - truffle pizza is outstanding.
Overpriced - food was mediocre, service slow. Not what we were expecting given a much better dining experience at Monkitail a couple of evenings before.
