Waiter, Gary, was great! Food was delicious! Prices a bit high tho.
The Manager on Friday night started our experience off with a smile and a warm welcome after a hectic flight - then we were greeted by Paul who is by far one of the best Servers I have had the pleasure of meeting. His personality and services are Top Notch - definitely ask for him when you dine there in the evening.
Decent food & service but not mind-blowing. Nice prelude to our main dining experience at Monkitail later that evening
This was a very enjoyable meal. India was our server and knew the menu well and recommended great items. I would definitely eat here again when I’m the area

Very limited menu. This was a temporary situation but it would have been nice to know this before being seated.
Overpriced like everything at Diplomat Beach Resort
The food was but not exceptional. The stone fruit wedge was very good. We had the grouper, the snapper and the dark cherry meringue. They were tasty. Our server tried hard but the set was not good. They were out of the wine I ordered so I ordered the wine the server suggested to replace it. They had to send out for a bottle of it. They never brought the sides we ordered. Our server checked on the sides and they were sitting in the window not picked up with our mains. She had them remade but they did not arrive before we finished our main dishes so we canceled them. After all that you would have thought dessert was in the house but it wasn’t. Everyone/establishment has a bad day. We won’t be eating here again.
Had the salmon. It was cooked perfectly. Nicky, my server was attentive and professional.
The Ceasar salad was mediocre, not enough salad dressing, no pepper, had to request more. The pasta was good with green pea stuffing but the poached lobster accompanying it was non existent. Not a good experience overall!
Great business breakfast - solid buffet and omelet station
We eat here fairly regularly but I can tell you I’m not going back for a while. Super disappointed in the menu they took off the two items that kept me coming back. I ordered the snapper, it was dry and was plated with some salad. The description was poor so it wasn’t at all what I expected. My husband ordered the salmon, also not very good, seasoning was on the skin that you don’t eat so bland. Our server forgot about us, drinks were not refilled until we were done not to mention he forgot to bring drinks at the beginning. There is a lot of competition in the area, not to mention way better options in the diplomat, we will stick to monki tail and prime for the foreseeable future.
The food is Expensive but the it was amazing. Doubt that I will pay that much again but overall experience was great
Overpriced and out of control. Good is decent but team was completely overwhelmed and the prices are ridiculous. Bottom line, not worth it.
Excellent service! Food was spectacular. Can’t wait to go again.

Our first visit to Point Royal. We were seated on time for our reservation.
Paul our server was pleasant and engaging
We ordered Shrimp cocktail and our entrees.
The cocktails were crafted well that we had. Paul in conjunction with the bartender made a watermelon drink form wife
The hummus pre-meal was well prepared. Prior to receiving our appetizers or meals one of the staff asked if we'd like more hummus with the flat bread? Yes, thank you. We never received the hummus or flatbread
Entrees came out , were tasty and plated well, appropriate temperature. Asked Paul to please remove the shrimp cocktail from our bill, since it did not come out at all.
The key lime pie was the highlight of the night.
Lastly , when making the reservation, selected that it was our anniversary. No one acknowledged the event.
So, I'd give them a second chance in the future
We have been dining at the Diplomat for over 12 years and specifically at Point Royal since it opened a couple of years ago. It was a great alternative for casual dining and happy hour menu. Now the management has decided to stop offering Happy hour bites and the one item they became famous for, their wonderful burger, has been changed by reducing the size dramatically and charging more! A combo that is not winning and lost our business and many other locals we have spoken with recently.
Was looking forward to the Sunday brunch before we were heading home from vacation and when we were checking in( I had made a reservation through Open Table) we were told the brunch wasn’t offered anymore. When I had checked the website it showed this was offered. Apparently it wasn’t deleted from their website. Very disappointed...
Honestly the food is fantastic but our experience has always been great when Paul is our server. So much so that we will only make reservations if he is working!
It was a nice way to relax and have an afternoon lunch. Fish and chips was surprisingly very good.
We paid over 80.00 for 3 sandwiches which anywhere else would have cost 32.00. Service was decent but not what u would expect. Tip was forced upon us not optional. Wouldn’t go back

The food was delicious and everyone was so nice. Our server Lauren was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Just all around excellent. Brandon was also superb. The overall experience was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Food and cocktails were very good. Didn't like restaurants ambiance and decor. Taking into account the quality of the dishes and the price, I would have like to have seen a little more upscale setting.
Gave Point Royal a second chance and it was a epic fail.

Fish in Florida should be a staple - their is cooked to death. Dry and inedible - do you here us Jeffrey? After our last experience at your restaurant - we sent you an email which was never answered. Before we post we give you a chance to respond - you just don’t seem to care.
Enjoy your TV shows - we do - but your restaurants are another story.
We got almost no attention from the server. Food was ok.
The valet parking was ridiculously expensive, with tip almost $35.
A little pricey for brunch. Brunch was good but not really outstanding
We went for Sunday brunch, great food and service, nice helpful staff. Would recommend reservations, long line ahead of us when we arrived but prior reservations had us seated within 3 minutes. High quality food, lots of choices for all tastes from personally prepared omelettes to hot well stocked choices, would recommend to anyone!

This is my third time staying at the diplomat resort and visiting at point royal restaurant.
At first I had mixed feelings about the menu changes, I was upset they took the Brussels sprouts off the menu, what a shame, one of the best things that were on the menu. Please bring them back!
I normally order the grouper and the side of Brussels,the grouper used to be served a la carte but now they serve it with couscous.
I'm not a big couscous fan but i really wanted the grouper again.
thank god my server lorin suggested to order the grouper with the tricolor cauliflower which normally comes on the salmon plate . best decision ever!! The combination was so good that I almost forgot about the Brussels sprouts haha.
Ask for lorin if you need any recommendations,she knows food very well!!!

For what it was trying to achieve and for what it it's supposed to be, this restaurant was really satisfying. I will note that I have had more complete and notable meals from chefs of the same caliber. I can't in good conscience rate this restaurant low just based off the fact that we've tried many other restaurants in America that were better.
Point Royal was not the best meal I have ever had, but they accomplished everything that most people would be 100% satisfied with.

Unfortunately the food was not very good. The oysters were just plain bad. For dinner I had the cavatelli and the shrimp were undercooked and seemed like frozen shrimp you’d find in the grocery store freezer. The whole dish actually seemed like a frozen dinner that was heated up and poured into a bowl. My wife’s branzino wasn’t very good either. The flavor was very blah and the fish quality seemed not very fresh. Very disappointed.
Although the dining room is decorated beautifully we chose to sit outside and enjoyed a lovely sea breeze. Our drinks were brought to us quickly as were the delicious and fresh oysters and shrimp. Unfortunately they were out of clams. Our table ordered the Tuna a la Plancha, the Branzino, and a hamburger and all were super delicious. The server suggested the sweet potato fries as a side and they did not disappoint. As for dessert, the table went with the server’s suggestion of Key Lime Pie and not a crumb was left on the plate. It was a lovely evening, a fantastic dinner and a great way to begin the summer season. We will definitely return!
terrible service. brought apps with our dinner. waiter spilled full water glasses all over table and we cleaned up. acted like we were a bother not a customer. food was just ok.

Great burger, but that's it. Service was amazingly bad, so bad. Epic bad. We were a table of 3, on a Sunday night, restaurant was moderately busy (not sleepy, no wait for a table, many open tables, plenty of staff visible). You're busy? That's cool, keep the cocktails coming and I'm fine. Unfortunately, this was not to be. In an instance of what turned out to be chock full of foreshadowing, we joked that we should order 2 rounds when we first ordered drinks. Alas, that first round turned out to be our only round... The staff, including the manager, seemed to go out of their way to not make eye contact with guests.
When our food did finally did arrive, the burger was out of sight, just great. Based on the service, we decided actually eating the muscles we ordered was probably too much of a risk (if we could see how poorly trained they were in front of customers, God only knows what the kitchen looked like).
