This is by far the best restaurant I have ever been to in my life, their customer service was beyond amazing!! They went out of their way to help celebrate my sisters birthday and I appreciate it so much! We traveled from Orlando for one night just to try this restaurant and it was so worth it!! We will definitely be back!! This dining experience was unlike any other! Thank you so much!!!
For a Zakarian establishment this was terrible!! Worst crab legs ever tried, decor terrible and worn out, loud noisy kids running everywhere and dirty restrooms. The staff were very very good though!! Overpriced for the food you get.
The Preparation of the Food was done Beautifully and eye appealing. The Food popped flavor in your mouth. Would Highly Recommend this Restaurant.
Never before have I had food this good served this quickly. The timing between courses was perfection only having about 3 minutes between each. I went here first for lunch one day and have the lobster roll and it's easily the best lobster roll I've ever had with a large whole piece of lobster as the base
Then the next night I had dinner starting with east coast oysters, then the roasted scallops, finished with an apricot souffle cake for dessert. As good as the food was, what really made my night was the knowledge and conversation of my server Gary. He explained the difference in taste and appearance of east and west coast oysters. I commented on the sheer perfection of the carmelized scallops and he explained how the kitchen prepares and cooks them for that perfect result. He recommended the apricot souffle cake which was the perfect finish to an incredible meal.
The entire staff was friendly and professional and service was quick from seating, to ordering, to cooking, to bussing. I can't wait to come back.
went there for the mothers day, the restaurant is inside the Diplomat Hotel, very beautiful btw, the desert room was amazing, the food was ok... was expecting some more elaborated plates since is by Zacharian... but for a brunch is fine. The service was very good, and the parking was very easy too.
We waited over 1hr to be seated on Mother’s Day. We had reservations at 10:45. At 11:45. Before we sat down the hostess told us since our reservation was at 10:45 we have to order from the breakfast menu. Even though it was brunch we reserved, she told us they had over booked and we were not allowed to have brunch which began at 12pm. At that moment we left. Horrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
Waiter Paul is the best you can ever imagine, turns dinner into a show!
The ambiance is nice at this restaurant, however the service is slow and the food is inconsistent. We had the grilled salmon (fair and fishy), mussels (good), Parmesan potatoes (average) and gumbo (fair).
The food was mediocre at best. The short rib was very bland and fatty. The sausage hotdog fell more in line with what to expect at a run down deserted mall food court. Service was great. Crab croquettes were very good.
Pablo our server was a great guy and the food was really good. Only thing I wish is that there were more desserts without chocolate. Otherwise a fabulous dinner
Everything was fantastic! The oysters and crab are not to be missed. The ceviche was delicious! I had the grouper which was cooked perfectly. I recommend the lavender martini too!
First...its a hotel - nice hotel. But, for that, it was good food and selections. Service is a buffet style meal. The cost was approx. $35 per person...HIGH for a breakfast buffet and we didn't have alcohol. But, if guests in hotel don't want to leave for other brunch locations or only place that serves at 10:00 a.m. (most brunches at other places opened at 11:00 a.m.), then this works.
I had been to Point Royal for a business dinner and was impressed enough to bring my spouse in for his birthday dinner. We were made to feel like very valued patrons even though it was our first time there! The food was wonderful, the service very attentive and the space and whole experience was the best we have experienced in South Florida. We would very highly recommend this place.
We were so excited to dine at Point Royal but our service was not up to the food and restaurant standard. Our server was
Husby and I were excited to try Chef GZ's new restaurant at The Diplomat Hotel. However, the only meal we would have the chance to attend was Brunch on Sunday. The Brunch was pretty nice, no seafood except Smoked Salmon, no Bloody Mary or Mimosa offered which was a disappointment! However, the gentleman behind us asked for a Bloody and he did get one but like I said, our server never even asked if we wanted one. A BIG mistake in my opinion. The buffet was basically what you would expect on a Breakfast Buffet with a few different items sprinkled in. There was an omelette station, a cold station with the salmon, some cheese, onion, capers...etc. There were also pre-made eggs and meats, a unique pastrami egg sammie, yogurt, toppings, overnight oats, toppings, bagels, muffins, some salads etc. Overall pretty nice. Price (which we couldn't find posted anywhere nor the menu or even that they were open for Brunch was $35.p/p ++ which included coffee and fresh OJ. We got up from the table to go get a few more items since we don't like to cram our plates full of food and our waiter, although we had not yet paid, assumed we had left and removed everything! He then proceeded to tell us that we didn't "ask" if we could return to the buffet. Very odd. Yes, I would go back when I am in the area but not to Brunch and I'd get a different server. Love to try the Oyster Hour!
food and service was amazing!! Can't wait to come back for dinner and try the lobster roll.
BEWARE. Very poor service. Recommend beer or bottle of wine. $ 16+ drinks are 2-3 ounces. Food can be ok, service is so disorganized. Very expensive for what you get (buffet bkfast is $ 40, dinner well more, drinks expensive and anemic). Would be tolerable if service wasn't so uncoordinated due to really poor mgmt from front desk and a slew of "seniors" standing around doing nothing. The hostesses can't ever seem to find anyone to clean tables to set up for next people waiting and won't help do it themselves. Busing, table cleaning, getting water refilled are beyond problematic. Can take 15 minutes for a table to get cleaned and reset. At dinner Saturday, 3 hostesses, 2 others standing, none doing required work. Waited 10 minutes at dinner to order our drinks, then 25+ for our drinks. Had to ask 3x for water refills to get one - you ask your waitress and they appear under instructions to give very little water to get you to order drinks. Picture of my $ 16 drink - note the water glass is low height and the height of the cocktail glass barely comes to bottom of the wine glass behind it. This is not a big glass even if cropping the photo makes it look bigger. After receiving, I sent it back asking them to fill it up after it took 30 minutes to get it. Glass was already small enough but less than half full - this picture IS the 'corrected' version. Seriously. Sent the 2nd try back, asked for a beer. At least you know you are getting a full bottle. Just no coordination on the floor. NONE of the food came out together by table - 1 entree would come out or 2 people would get their appetizer. 5 minutes later maybe another or 2 more. Entrees had bigger gaps. When we finally got our main dishes, 10 minutes went by before we could find anyone to ask for our side dishes (the $ 26 and up fish have no sides - those are extra). The sides did finally come out and those did get comp'd because they were almost dessert.
Did not like mustard on my Brussels sprouts, sauce on my greens or sauce on my lobster roll.
Food was fantastic but our server is what made the meal....he was so much fun and answered any question we had about our meal - making reservations and knowing just what wine would be the best ....he definitely made the evening!
The Mother’s Day brunch was outstanding. Fantastic choices and everything was delicious.
Everything was amazing! Our server, Paul made our 15yr anniversary celebration extra special & was super attentive down to the smallest detail...all his recommendations were delicious! We had the king crab & raw oysters for appetizers... BOTH very fresh & deeelish! We had the Yellow tail special & lobster entrees plus Brussels for side...ALL OUTSTANDING! He top it off with a cherry dessert that was spectacular! We will definitely be back & will ask for Paul!
Food was good. Service NOT!! We waited (after being seated) over 10 minutes before any acknowledgement, then our waitress was sporadic, we had to ask other servers to get us bread, more water, etc. and then out of the blue she’d be back.
Prices for two very small and poorly made martinis $17 each! Dinner was mediocre at best. We had the Snapper and Scallops with two sides as everything is a la carte. Total bill:$130! Not worth the price at all.
Slow service and high noise but great food.
Food was terrible. Hamburger was inedible. And somehow they managed to ruin a nice piece of fish by totally oversalting it. We left the place starving. And it's expensive to boot.
Wie gesagt, großartig !
The food, service and food value was good, not great!
First of all, we got there 8:45Pm, the hostess was not very pleasant, and could not find my name on the reservation system. Took us to the bar to wait 20 min. We ordered wine, and looked around many tables available, so we did not understand why to wait if there were tables available, hostess came back at 9:10 to sit us.
When we ordered the check, waitress charged us for the wine, which we already paid at the bar.
We came the second time. The oysters had no taste. The burger was with mustard sauce covered and taste only for mustard. This time you can forget.
Waited for well over 30 mins for our waiter to return to order dessert and get the check, and finally had to send my kids to the hotel store to get dessert and I had to go to hostess stand to have them retrieve our waiter. No offer of apologies were made. Water glasses never refilled, and drinks were never offered after first seated. Shrimp was mushy in shrimp and grits, and there were more heads than tails. Mussels were extra large, tough, sandy and loaded in mustard sauce. Grilled salmon was good. Service was atrocious.
Paul is the best waiter ever, the one you should ask for.
Bartender was great, and the happy hour menu was fantastic. The food was delicious and fresh.
The restaurant is located in The Diplomat Hotel. There is a nice vibe when you walk in. The atmosphere was nice, high ceilings and a bar in the middle. Not too noisy though. Our table was awkward because we were at a booth with a small round table for two and another large table for 5. So it was a little cozy when another party was seated at the larger table. The food was outstanding - the tuna tartare and warm artichoke salad were great starters. The fresh grouper was cooked just right and the fresh linguine and clams was also very good. I recommend it!
The ambiance is gorgeous! Food is wonderful. I highly recommend and would return.
We were at happy hour for oysters and ceviche and we take the yellowtail fish boneless all were excellent.
Amazing, loved it!
Great clans and fish stone crabs a plus. Great atmosphere side dishes excellent and service was very good.
Business lunch. Noise level made it difficult to talk.
The restaurant is beautiful and our server Paul was amazing.
Paul provided excellent service and provide a great recommendations highly recommend him if you have a chance
Very amateurish bar service. No martini glasses so served martini in a champagne glass. Ran out of Citron. Not off to a good start.
The appys were good but the snapper main was tough and tasteless. Heard the burger there was good but seems absurd to go nto sea food place for a burger. Nice ambiance but for the price would not recommend.
