Point Burger Bar - New Berlin
We sat at the bar. Jason, who was working the bar, immediately acknowledged us and asked what we wanted...food, drink, both? He did an amazing job with us as well as working the entire bar the whole time we were there. He was personable and friendly! Best service we’ve had our in a long time. Food was great! We had a flights of beer which all the beer was amazing. Good device goes a long way. Can’t wait to return just because of the service alone. But food and beer was good as well!!
The service was good, however there was a mistake with the food. The burger I ordered included horsey sauce which I requested it very put on the side. However when I got the burger, it was covered in horsey sauce. The waitress told the kitchen and offered to get me a new one but I didn't want to wait for a new order since my wife already had her food. The waitress said the manager would come over to talk to me but they never did.
2 burgers 2 beers for 50 bucks. Also they seriously try to kill you when their “sauces” on their burgers. Wife had to take napkin and wipe mayo off burger because piled on so much. Waitress was solid. Atmosphere was bland at best. Both Badgers and Bama were on the TVs yet they had the Spice Girls blasting through the restaurant. Average at best and won’t be back unless forced. This coming from a pretty big Point beer fan.
First time at Point Burger bar in New Berlin, WI. Great interior, with lots of TVs, and a great beer selection. Nice menu, Food was very good and cooked properly. Our waiter Johnny Stash was nice, and friendly. We did have one mixup on a beer ordered. But they let us have it free, and brought the proper selection promptly . Overall fine experience . Will be back!
Good service and food. Place full of misbehaved and uncontrolled kids. We won’t be rushing back.
Food was decent, but frankly I expect better than decent for a $20 burger and side. Good amount of Point and other breweries beer on tap at reasonable prices.
Prompt seating and service. Had a reservation, but didn't seem like we needed one (5 p.m.) . Had a veteran server and a trainee - both excellent, personable and attentive. Food very tasty; lots of beers to choose from. Comfortable booth and convenient to my friend's hotel (just across the parking lot!). Good evening overall!
We went to Point Burger Bar because Sammy Ray was playing. She was fabulous as always. Our server, Max, was adorable, efficient, and pleasant. They were out of the Impossible Burger, which was disappointing, so we had the bean burger, which was not exciting. The fries are the kind that many people like, some sort of breading-ish stuff on it, but I prefer a natural fry. My beer was served in a plastic cup, which really reduces the experience of drinking a cold beer on a hot summer day. The prices were fine if the quality had been just a little better or the water and beer had been served in glass.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of the impossible burger (I follow a vegan diet). I tried the earth burger. It was ok, but I was looking forward to the impossible burger.
Loved all the high quality tv and sound while watching the Bucks game
Great time...service was great, food selection and quality were great, and numerous TVs to watch in bar and dining areas. 👍👍👍👍👍
We had lunch at Point Burger Bar on Mother's Day. The restaurant was busy but not swamped. Our waitress was friendly. The restaurant was clean. Our food was great. They offered a very nice touch with a mimosa for Mom and a rose at the end of our visit. I would recommend your restaurant with the caveat that it is a little pricey.
Always great wait service and the food-value combination is very good as well.
Glad that we could make reservations as we wanted to try the prime rib special. The prime rib was amazing! Not grilled, but a fresh cut from the roast a perfect medium rare...mmm mmm mmm, a thing of beauty. Did you know that Point Burger Bar is the brainchild of Ward's House of Prime Rib in Milwaukee? It shows in this beautiful cut of prime. I enjoyed a generous 16oz cut while my mom found the 8oz just right for her. My wife enjoyed the prime rib sandwich. all came with some great aus jus. The atmosphere is lively if not a little on the loud side. If sports are your thing, there was lots of it on lots of tv's throughout the dining room and bar. If burgers are your thing, we've had them on earlier visits and they're all delicious. But you gotta try the prime rib...Saturday night special at the New Berlin location...only while it lasts!!!
Burgers are to order unless you want some kind of a special some items like lettuce and fries are included the shake strawberry classic good kind of small glass
For a burger place burger was average. Ordered the cowboy. It was good but nothing you couldn’t get elsewhere. There were 4 of us and service was great. Friendly servers. Answered all questions. Burgers a disappointment. Might give it another try if going past. Not making a special trip.
The server was friendly.
The only real or important disappointment was a dirty fork wrapped in a clean napkin. We will eat their again, noting a one time miss.
Excellent service on a busy Friday night! Everything was delicious!! I had the BLTA and it was perfect!! If I had to make one suggestion though, it would be to learn how to make legit french onion soup. I had onion soup--VERY peppery onion soup--but it was nothing like french onion soup at all.
Great burgers, decent setting, decent service, have only tried the burgers
The service was very slow. The waiter gave my almost 16 year old a child’s cup of water. He just seemed very overwhelmed.
Good service, good food, great beer
Went to here for the first time for my company holiday lunch. food was pretty good waitress Gina was very nice and attentive.
Just a local place that is comfortable to go to. Good beer.
The food was great and our server was the best!
My wife was served a cold burger! We alerted the server and it was replaced. At the prices this place changes this should never happen!! Who serves a cold burger?
Overall the burgers were just so so at best. We probably won’t be going back. Too many places in the area that have much better burgers at half the price!
Burger was cold
Fries were hot
$75 for 3 people
Build your own burger, chicken sandwich, and prime rib sandwich were very good. The sides are priced as extras which I didn't realize until seeing our bill, but it wasn't a big addition. Our choices were tater tots, onion rings, and fries...and each large portion was very crispy, hot, and tasty. We visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon during college football and the TVs were all on and it was 'energetic and noisy', but that was okay with our group. Our concern was lots of young children allowed to run around and at least twice almost collided with the waitstaff. A restaurant cannot control this, but I would consider this more of a family friendly place than something I would choose to spend time with adult friends, due to the playful children we encountered.
This was my first time going to any Point Burger Bar. I WILL be back, the next time that I’m in New Berlin!
Food was great, service was very attentive and a nice atmosphere. Close to home.
The food was very good; especially liked the fries. Our server, Christine, was exceptional. We have a sub waitress take our order as she was also handling a large group meeting. Unfortunately, the sub was ride and had an attitude, but when Christine returned all was well. Atmosphere is pleasant and was very clean. Will definitely return.
Everything was great when it first opened, but some things seem to be going down hill as far as taste goes. Still a great place, my 4 year old daughter loves the kids mac n cheese there
The a/c was to cold.
We were seated in the bar and asked to be moved. Too noisy.
We are in our 70's and got seated in the bar with plenty of open tables in dinning room. My question is don't the hostess' look at age of people before seatiģ them?
Food was just ok. Fries and onion rings were greasy.
I will start off by saying that we received good service from our waitress. I am not one that usually complains about my food or sends it back to the kitchen. This is supposed to be a specialty burger bar. They did officially ask you how you want your burger. I requested medium rare and got a burger that was well done! It was very dry so I had it sent back. The next burger was exactly the same way. The waitress agreed and said that she would send it back again. Isn’t this time my wife was done with dinner and my 2 year old was finishing up. I said I would just take it. Was told the manager would stop by and never did. Got our bill and was charged full priced. When asked, our waitress said the manager wasn’t going to provide any discount. Our waitress ended up going back to her manager and reluctantly gave us a discount. The waitress stated that the management was mad at her for something and was trying to prove a point. Not really appropriate to make the paying customer suffer if there is an employee problem. Again, service was good but I Most likely won’t go back. The burger was sub par and cost $15. Could make a better burger at home for a fraction of the price.
Great service. Sweet potato fries not so great.
Food was great, however it took 15 minutes to get our drinks and even longer to get our food. We were not compensated for our long wait time.
We decided on the build your own burger. For apps we had the cheese curds and bacon wrapped prime rib. Everything was delicious. We ended our dinner with the brownie ala mode and cookies ala mode. Both awesome. Make sure to check out the keg wall. Very cool
While the food was great, our server Lindsay made our evening. Her recommendations were spot on on. Her engaging personality was a breath of fresh air!
Burgers are outstanding and with the create your own combinations, the variety is endless. I tried Feta cheese with Tzaziki sauce. Yum
