PO'BOYS BBQ, Athens' favorite pop up street food hangout is finally getting its own space.

PO'BOYS, born out of the effort of Chef and Owner Vassilis Sporos to get acquainted with the authentic Southern BBQ and the low and slow smoked meats in the Athenian audience. The project made its first appearance at the Christmas Food Market in Kotzia Sq in 2016 as a food truck and became an instant hit. From March 2018, it found its new home in the historic neighborhood of Psirri, Athens and is hosting guests every day with love and attention. Won't lie, in the menu, smoked brisket is king but its burgers have a fanatic crowd. Bao Buns, Tacos, Mac N Cheese and Steaks will make their way to your table too. You have to try one of the 40 Greek microbreweries featured in the shop. It won 11th place for best BBQ Joint in Europe in 2019 (Big 7 Travel) and voted best street food place in Athens for 2020 (Readers of Athens Voice).

Never did I expect to get BBQ as a meal in Greece but after two weeks of eating Italian, Greek, and food across the Mediterranean we decided on a highly rated local BBQ that truly holds up with any US BBQ. My god they figured out great smoked sausage, moist pulled pork with great smokiness, and tender brisket. This was all part of the Tipsy Texan sandwich and truly recommend to get a variety of flavors all in one sandwich. Then we had to try each of the Bao bun options as part of the bao bun sampler - Fried chicken, pork belly, pulled pork, and brisket. Again the meats were fantastic and the buns were pillowy soft with just the right amount of slaw and sauce on each. Their coleslaw is one of the tops I have had, creamy and just the right crunch. Meal was fantastic and priced phenomenal. Highly recommend in Athens, Greece when you want to try some of the best barbecue. Also the neighborhood and surrounding area is so cool to walk around and see the vineyards covered, lit up decorations, and narrow walk ways surrounded by restaurants, ice cream shops, cafes, and bars.

We went for dinner in Athens, a family of 6, and we loved it. Service was great, portions were generous, prices were really reasonable, and the food was great!

Wow what a find in Athens. Did not expect food to be as good as it was especially compared to our home state Texas BBQ. Outstanding!

This place is fantastic! We shared the sample plate between 2 people and it was the perfect amount of food. The food was truly fantastic, cocktails are great and all fairly priced. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Εξαιρετικά καλό φαγητό. Bao buns φοβερά. Ταλιατα από black Angus νόστιμη και τρυφερή και ένα το pork belly BLT όπως το περίμενα. Τα γλυκά δίκαια. Μηλόπιτα και brownie σε καλό επίπεδο εάν δεν έχει πλάνο για γλυκό κάπου άλλου.Να μην ξεχάσω side dish πατατοσαλάτα πολύ δυνατή και η τηγανίτες πατάτες ανθρώπινες.
