This was such a disappointment and a huge decline from the Plumpjack in the past. Our Rose came room temp after 30 minutes and it went downhill from there. The high end menu was gone and the execution was bland and poorly cooked. I’m sad to report this!

Really enjoyed the menu, food and service here. Every bite delicious. Very extensive wine selection and the bartenders create anazing cocktails here. Alisa was our server and she was anazing. We had the Burrata Salad, Halibut and the veggie pasta. All delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant as well as their hotel the next time your in Lake Tahoe, CA.

A special place to go for dinner. We had a group of five and had cocktails and shared a bottle of Plumpjack Chardonnay all of which we liked a lot. The warm bread and butter with volcanic salt is so good. The menu is always different based on what fresh ingredients they get. All of us enjoyed our dinner. My halibut was cooked perfectly. My husband was particularly grateful because the chef special made a vegan dinner for him and he almost licked the plate clean he liked it so much. We tried two of the desserts even though we were full and they were amazing too! Definitely recommend. Reservation’s advised.

I can't really say anything about the restaurant because I was never notified that it was going to be closed on the night of my reservation. I made the reservation about a month in advance, received a text the day before asking if I wanted to confirm my reservation so I did. I even got a notification that day that my reservation was coming up. But then when I walked into the lobby of the hotel to arrive for my reservation it was clear the restaurant was not open. The receptionist for the hotel informed me that the restaurant was now closed Mon-Weds but I was never informed of that prior.

Great food and atmosphere. Sat in the bar with Sam and Ben. So knowledgeable about food and wine. I felt very comfortable chatting at the bar and dining. Would go again.

Amazing staff and tasty food! Every dish, including appetizers, was superb. A great place for a date or dropping by after the mountain. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

We had a great family dinner at PlumpJack during our stay at Palisades. Our family of 4 included two teenagers. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but unfortunately the restaurant was sold out of the burger (my son wanted one). He ended up ordering the halibut, my other son got shrimp and grits, my husband ordered the Cornish hen with waffles, and I had the bucatini (so good!). We topped it all off with the berry crunch dessert, that everyone loved! My favorite of the night, however, was the bottle of PlumpJack Chardonnay!

This place is cozy, but their were issues. 1) too many loud children. I luv kids, but we were surprised to see and hear so many in this type of upscale place, on a Friday night. 2) service. I understand that finding good help now a days is challenging. The people who sat us, took drink orders, and brought out food were great. Our server, who I see as the QB,... terrible. Did not respond to simple routine requests, (water, ,bread...etc) we had to ask others for this. But she did take the bread away without asking, too soon, and then charged us for it... which was not obvious prior to asking for it...) 3) food was good, but not hot. But their was no server to correct that, which, given her responsiveness, we would not have done. Perhaps it was just a bad night?

We look forward to dining at Plump Jack each time we come to Palisades. Food is always top notch. The prices were outrageous, even for the village. We invited a couple along and we’re embarrassed.

It’s hard to rationalize a standard filet mignon dinner costing $80. It was a good steak, but not worth the price. The gluten free accommodations are note worthy. Our server and kitchen staff seemed knowledgeable with gf dining.

It was my husband’s birthday, which they were notified of, and no acknowledgment was made. His meal was excellent, mine was a very fatty cut of pork, topping minuscule amounts of veggies. It was 7 dollars for six Rustic’ dinner rolls.

The host was bizarre. He called me 4 times to confirm my reservation after I’d already confirmed online. We arrived early and he was acting like I wasn’t going to get our table bc I didn’t answer his calls. He was rude, really was a big turn off at what is supposed to be a nice evening.

Bad service experience. They didn’t have our table available ( at 5:30pm) and jammed us all into a corner where we didn’t fit. Then they actually called me , while I was ordering dinner, to ask if I was still planning to come to dinner . The waiter was awkward and inattentive. The specials didn’t exist. The wine list was ridiculously priced. The food was forgettable and overpriced. The service was really poor. I won’t come back. I was embarrassed for our group since they totally bungled our reservation and meal service. It seemed to be operated by a group of teenagers with little experience or care for the customers.
