   Great food and atmosphere. Sat in the bar with Sam and Ben. So knowledgeable about food and wine. I felt very comfortable chatting at the bar and dining. Would go again.

   Amazing staff and tasty food! Every dish, including appetizers, was superb. A great place for a date or dropping by after the mountain. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

   We had a great family dinner at PlumpJack during our stay at Palisades. Our family of 4 included two teenagers. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but unfortunately the restaurant was sold out of the burger (my son wanted one). He ended up ordering the halibut, my other son got shrimp and grits, my husband ordered the Cornish hen with waffles, and I had the bucatini (so good!). We topped it all off with the berry crunch dessert, that everyone loved! My favorite of the night, however, was the bottle of PlumpJack Chardonnay!

    This place is cozy, but their were issues. 1) too many loud children. I luv kids, but we were surprised to see and hear so many in this type of upscale place, on a Friday night. 2) service. I understand that finding good help now a days is challenging. The people who sat us, took drink orders, and brought out food were great. Our server, who I see as the QB,... terrible. Did not respond to simple routine requests, (water, ,bread...etc) we had to ask others for this. But she did take the bread away without asking, too soon, and then charged us for it... which was not obvious prior to asking for it...) 3) food was good, but not hot. But their was no server to correct that, which, given her responsiveness, we would not have done. Perhaps it was just a bad night?

    We look forward to dining at Plump Jack each time we come to Palisades. Food is always top notch. The prices were outrageous, even for the village. We invited a couple along and we’re embarrassed.

    It’s hard to rationalize a standard filet mignon dinner costing $80. It was a good steak, but not worth the price. The gluten free accommodations are note worthy. Our server and kitchen staff seemed knowledgeable with gf dining.

    It was my husband’s birthday, which they were notified of, and no acknowledgment was made. His meal was excellent, mine was a very fatty cut of pork, topping minuscule amounts of veggies. It was 7 dollars for six Rustic’ dinner rolls.

    The host was bizarre. He called me 4 times to confirm my reservation after I’d already confirmed online. We arrived early and he was acting like I wasn’t going to get our table bc I didn’t answer his calls. He was rude, really was a big turn off at what is supposed to be a nice evening.

    Bad service experience. They didn’t have our table available ( at 5:30pm) and jammed us all into a corner where we didn’t fit. Then they actually called me , while I was ordering dinner, to ask if I was still planning to come to dinner . The waiter was awkward and inattentive. The specials didn’t exist. The wine list was ridiculously priced. The food was forgettable and overpriced. The service was really poor. I won’t come back. I was embarrassed for our group since they totally bungled our reservation and meal service. It seemed to be operated by a group of teenagers with little experience or care for the customers.

    We had reservations when they opened at 5pm but were “already out of bread” for starters. The soup was delicious but was served anywhere from lukewarm to hot. The glass my wine came in was dirty and had to be sent back. Overall, the dining experience was ok, not great. The food was tasty, but pretty expensive.

    Over the top customer service in a romantic and beautiful location. We had our wedding reception here in 2012 and returned for our 10 year anniversary. Some of the same staff still work there including the event coordinator who brought us out a copy of our menu we had for our guests that night. Highly recommend for a couples night out or for a gathering of friends in the bar -lounge area.

    What a wonderful experience! From start to finish, thoroughly enjoyable . We were greeted and seated promptly on PlumpJack's beautiful outdoor patio. One person had a craft cocktail called the Tailspin, that included creme de violet and was sublime. The caprese salad had perfect tomatoes, crunchy cucumber, and a luscious fresh buffalo mozzarella. Two of us had the salmon special, and the salmon was perfectly cooked to my order of medium-rare. The peach and fig financier with creme anglaise was marvelous, as was the peanut butter ice cream. Service throughout the meal was attentive and professional. A fantastic dinner.

    We had a wonderful dining experience outside on the lovely patio. It was a special dinner to celebrate a birthday. Our servers, Jeff and Alisa, were outstanding, and the backup staff was very professional. We started with poke wonton for an app. Absolutely delicious. We split a Ceasar salad and had the steak, perfectly cooked to order, and a pork shank that was fall off the bone tender and well spiced. Highly recommend Plumpjacks. We brought a special bottle of wine, but it wasn't really necessary as they have an amazing wine list!!
