Limited menu, nothing marked gluten free, no thawed gluten free bread, out of menu items by 1pm. Who’s buying for the weekend that doesn’t have enough food for brunch? Seriously disappointed. Only half the restaurant was seated. I understand limited employees but not on the food provided.
Absolutely great! Our server Jack made the evening and food was delicious
Worked well for our desired meeting with family for a quiet brunch.
At times it was difficult to find our waiter, despite his fantastic suggestions upfront.
We had a wonderful meal for our anniversary celebration. I had the salmon and my husband had the ribs, both were outstanding! We ended our meal with the pumpkin crème brûlée which as delicious.
I would highly recommend a visit!
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your evening with us and hope you'll visit again sometime soon! Have a wonderful day!
We shared small plates on a Friday night in October. The food was very good. The only difficulty we had was navigating the sidewalks outside the restaurant. Aggressive street people are a big problem in this area of the city and it did not help that the main entrance to the restaurant was locked requiring walking around and through the hotel to have dinner. The hostess said she keeps the door locked because she cannot watch both doors????
We were hesitant to dine at a hotel restaurant but the menu looked great. The food was excellent. The ambiance was very nice and the service was great. We will definitely dine there again.
The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The decor is nice and relaxing with views of downtown Lancaster. We started with a cheese plate that we enjoyed.
The restaurant advertises farm to table but my beet ravioli didn’t hit the mark. It had an orange juice sauce that was very sour and ruined the dish. My husband had the short ribs and they were amazing. We ended with the cheese cake had fresh figs and an amazing sauce. It’s pricy but I would go back.
The food was amazing! Our server did an amazing job of explaining everything and answering all of the questions we had! Would definitely dine there again.
They make a heck of an Old Fashioned…STRONG! Great food. Glass partition allowing us to view the kitchen area was a nice touch. Special thanks to Jack the waiter.
Our server Maurice was excellent!
Dining at the Plough is a lovely experience. The food and service are great.
A 5:00 reservation and no food at 6:20. Drinks came out fairly quickly. No fault of the waiter, but… We had to leave without eating because of a concert commitment. The hostess comped our drinks, but we left hungry with no opportunity to eat before the concert.
Very nice place.
The ambiance is nice. The food actually wasn't all that impressive. It was ok, but didn't match up with expectations. I had the squash salad, which was only fair. The butternut squash soup was very tasty, but had too much bacon in it. That's something they can dial down. My dining companions didn't rave about their mushroom spaetzle. The focaccia starter was tasty. For the price, it wasn't quite impressive enough. The server left our dirty dishes on our table until just before we left, all through coffee. Not impressed.
Beautiful restaurant and amazing local food. Wonderfully selected cheeses, spreads and pickled vegetables. We we're seated immediately in the bar area at a nice booth, but our waiter did not show up for another 20 minutes or so. This was not because they were busy, she was unaware we were one of her tables. We were never given specials other than the restaurant week menu. We overhead specials after our dinner from a different waiter at another table, whom explained the dishes well enough to make us drool. Also my husband ordered the short ribs and was served the black pepper garlic ribs. The food and drinks were amazing, but service wise I was very disappointed 😞
Very nice, great food and good service.
The service was great and the food was outstanding!!! Creative combinations of ingredients! We are planning to visit Plough again SOON!
Good food, server Jack was friendly and personable. Would go back
Enjoyed watching the busy city, while enjoying good food and service!
I enjoyed my burger. Hoped for an entree salad. The staff were terrific
Nice place. Service staff trying to keep up. Menu was extremely limited. My partner had the risotto which was delicious. I had the fish stew which was very meager on the fish but tasty. The desserts were a disaster. Apple cake very dry and the creme brûlée a hot inedible mess. Prices were in the moderate to high range with the alcohol very pricey. This was a one off for us.
VERY small portion for a rather high price.
Fisherman’s stew was outstanding!!! Jack, our server made our evening very enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!!!
Thank you so much for the 5 star review. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us at Plough and we'll be sure to pass along your kind words to Jack. Have a fantastic day!
Excellent food, fantastic service, surreal ambiance.
Waited 20 minutes for a glass of wine, had to ask 2X. Meals were under-cooked and sent back. Waited 30 minutes for dessert and finally cancelled.
From the time we arrived to our waitress. Everything was wonderful. Great experience. Will be back
Service was not good…. Food was ok; menu was limited…
Plough is consistently delicious...absolutely love their focaccia w/ lavender butter, the Indirect Light Cocktail is awesome, and my husband may leave me for their roasted carrots LOL. I’ve been to Plough a number of times in the last month or so and service has trended on the slower side, but the servers are super friendly, food is yummy, and overall it’s just a great place to chill and enjoy a nice meal.
Always enjoy going to Plough. Great farm-to-table food and service. Nice, but not overcrowded, seasonal selections.
First time visit, looking forward to making another one in near future
Excellent and friendly service. Food is good and drinks were excellent
We had a nice evening, but we should’ve mentioned a few things while dining about two dishes, but over all the experience was nice.
Great food and impeccable service. Highly recommend for brunch.
Convenient, next to Marriott. Easy to make reservations on line and change if needed. Great food and service.
Food was excellent! Great ambiance and decent prices for farm to table food. One noisy table next to us, but not too much of a bother. Highly recommend Plough for a nice dinner.
The duck confit is amazing. Wonderful atmosphere and service.
The food and drink were pretty good but a bit pricey for what they were. Service was a bit slow, we had a different server start to step in and assist by the end of our meal.
Made the reservation for my wife and I to have a date night, wasn't disappointed. The server, Nick, was very personable and attentive. The food came out quickly and was cooked as well as tasted perfectly. The price was comparable to other nice dining restaurants.
The restaurant is accessible from the Marriott where we were staying. We had a fantastic meal here! Jake our server was very friendly and attentive. I recommend the crispy shrimp and the pork pappardelle.
Food was very fresh and creative. I ordered a cocktail that was expertly prepared. We were still talking about the food the next day. Really nice atmosphere with a diverse crowd. Families, couples and groups of friends. My teenage son absolutely loved the ribs and fries.
