Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm
Only if you plan to wait forever. The food looked good but we didn’t have time to wait
Beautiful location, great food. The owners were very nice and walked around to check on everyone. Will definitely be returning!
Would 10/10 recommend!! The food and atmosphere were incredible.
Pizza was delicious, and the sunny afternoon was beautiful!
We can’t wait to return in the summer!
Thank you for letting us have a worry free birthday environment for our 20-year-old daughter! We all had a ton of fun and totally relaxed in the space… We will definitely come back!
Beautiful, peaceful location. Great pizza, seemed a little pricey but tasty.
Food was absolutely wonderful! Big open space and trails for kids to run on. Wonderful! Felt safe and very covid friendly. Def will go again.
We had the perfect weather night. Pizza was surprisingly fantastic. It was a little difficult to find though.
Overly political as a business, and from a crowd stand point. I went there with my main gay peeps and felt judged by the business and crowd the entire time.
It was a beautiful day! We went at 1pm when they opened. We brought a blanket and there was plenty of room in the open field area. It was so fun to watch the families and people all have a great time. We had their BBQ special pizza and the blueberry and cream cheese one for dessert. Delicious! We played bags and explored the trails. It started to get more busy with more friend groups arriving as we were leaving around 5pm. Live music was going to be playing that night! Wonderful experience I can't wait to go back and try the pizza with honey on it!
It's a long drive to the middle of nowhere, but it's worth it! The pizza's are huge btw, so don't over-order like we did!
Excellent Pizza and service. Beautiful setting in the country where you enjoy good food and nature
An adorable little farm where you can spread out your socially distanced picnic blanket and enjoy delicious homemade pizza while watching the sun set and petting the goats. It’s an idyllic setting and a great way to support your local farmer!
Everything was very good. Service was great, music was great and the area is beautiful!
Wonderful pizza! Always do a great job. Can't wait to go back.
I chose to go here with a group of friends for my 28th birthday and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Great food & a beautiful setting!
Great afternoon at the pizza farm. If the sun is out, bring something for shade. Pizza was excellent, and don't skip the pizza fries!
It was well worth the drive from Minneapolis. Great pizza and a wonderful quiet change from the city.
My wife and I were Pizza Order #2 at the Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm just north of Waseca on a sunny and comfortably warm Thursday afternoon. We were both so impressed and pleased with the country charm, ambience, surroundings and food at the Pleasant Grove. The staff and owner – Nellie – were so incredibly friendly you want to hug them! During our short 20-minute wait for our pizzas, we enjoyed a glass of wine (bring your own!) out on their well-groomed and expansive lawn. Just off the main barn and kitchen is a small stage where we were entertained by a lovely 2-person folk band whose lead singer must be a descendant of Janis Joplin’s DNA Tree. Just off the lawn is a fenced-in area with a couple of very friendly animals (goat and donkey?) nestled adjacent to their very own vegetable and herb garden. There are a couple of hiking trails which whisper tranquility and only take 10-minutes to travers. Now…the food. One of our pizzas – the Lola – is a basil infused olive oil, tomato, basil, kalamata olives, garlic salt, fresh and shredded mozzarella which will satisfy your palette to no end. They should rename this pizza “The Fresh One” because it oozed Mother Nature and all things good. Did I mention the Lola was delicious? Our next gastronomic venture was the Pig + Pork a rich homemade tomato red sauce, sausage, pepperoni, green olives, shredded mozzarella. Although the toppings were a bit light, this pie was also quite tasty but just a bit under cooked. As we were leaving with fully bellies, the owner – Nellie – asked how we enjoyed it and wanted to ensure we’d be back. Nellie also volunteered if we required the wetting of our whistles, to simply go 1-mile up the road to the Half Pint Brewery and they’d fix us up. The Half Pint has some great craft beers and we took home a growler to boot! Make an afternoon/evening of food in an outdoor setting with a feel-good atmosphere.
Amazing food. Love Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm. Will continue to visit the farm for years to come!!
The pizza was really outstanding. Really exceeded expectations! Also, the reservation and ordering process was really slick.
We were a party of 6. So much fun. Open space. Expected a long wait for Pizza but we we surprised with how fast it was done and on our "table". Ambiance outdoors was great. Open air. Perfect for social distancing. Great get away experience, yet close enough to the Twin Cities.
Such a great place to just BE with family and friends. They really don't provide anything other than the open space and the pizza but that makes the experience easily tailored to you! Bring a glass of wine to just lounge in your lawn chair, bring cards and card table to spice it up a little, or bring a baseball or football to toss around as you wait for the pizza. Kids love the goats and donkey as well!
Highly recommend going to Pleasant Grove, especially if it is a nice day. They have it so well organized. The pizza is delicious. It is so relaxing sitting on the lawn, enjoying the pizza, listening to the music. I could have sat there for hours!
Great pizza. The wait was over an hour but the website said to expect that. We will come back again!
Very relaxed environment. Great for kids. Pizzas were phenomenal. There's a nice hiking trail too.
Great weather, friendly service, pizza was outstanding, and loved the trail to walk it off. Great way to spend a late summer evening away from home.
Great food. Don't go if you like your car to stay clean. Dirt road access is dusty.
Great pizza, great entertainment, and easy to social distance! Highly recommend!
Love this place, the pizza is very good!
Wish it could be open all year.
Delicious food, excellent flavor. Beautiful countryside. Comforting atmosphere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The addition of the tent for the occasional rain shower was a bonus! The music was fantastic and the pizza was perfect! We had a wonderful time!
It was great and we loved the music. Thank you we will be back
Excellent customer service! Food was great! Would go back!
The drive to Waseca from the Bloomington on the backroads was beautiful. The pizza was terrific. The music was a nice backdrop. A wonderful summer evening.
Emily and Bill"s Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm was the perfect destination for my first experience of dining at a pizza farm. Loved it! There is plenty of room for many families to be socially distanced while enjoying the farm feel. We took a peaceful walk on the trail through the prairie flowers after placing our order. Then savored the delicious brick oven pizza while listening to live music. Such a wonderful way to spend an evening with family (or friends)!!
It was our first time so was not sure what was acceptable to bring for outdoor games or sun protection. I would def bring a canopy next time. There is no shade in the open lawn. That said, we really enjoyed the music and had a nice time walking on the paths.
the staff was friendly and efficient. If you are coming from the Cities, follow a reliable GPS system. there are not a lot of signs to lead the way!
Love this pizza farm - the pizza was the best I've ever had! So fresh. At one point, we saw someone on the kitchen staff leave towards the garden, yank something (basil?) from the ground and brought it back to the kitchen - now THAT's farm-to-table! The staff were all fantastic and fun, the buying process was easy and awesome that they are able to take cards. Word to the wise: bring your own shade, it can get hot outside!
What a fun change of pace! You bring your own chairs, plates, utensils and beverages. The pizzas were excellent - they have "the usual" more basic pizzas and some more creative options. Or pizzas were excellent and they were ready much more quickly than we expected. There was good live music and plenty of room to spread out. We even brought some lawn games and played, as did others. A great outdoor eating option!
