   The restaurant was very understaffed, so it took a while before anyone came to take our drink order. It was Taco Tuesday, so we all decided to order those. The meat in the carne asada taco was all fat, as was the pork in the al pastor. The southern girl taco was tasty, but needed a lot more sauce to avoid choking on the fried chicken. The Marley taco was ok, but with dark meat chicken, there was more fatty meat than I would like. The skinny margarita was not skinny, and tasted fake, like it was made with a mix rather than lime juice.

   We live in NYC and often go here to eat before a show at the Beacon Theater. The place has a fun vibe, but the food worsens every time we visit. Last night, we ordered the worst burritos ever. There were no beans, guac, tomatoes, sour cream, or salsa. It was literally lettuce wrapped in a tortilla with a few hunks of meat. Awful. The menu has also recently changed. If you serve Mexican food, make it authentic and delicious. I know food prices are going up but I would rather pay $25 for a delightful burrito than $20 for a crappy one.

   This was my first time at Playa Betty's, and I loved every bite. I had the Dharma Jerk Chicken bowl and it was delicious.

   The decor and atmosphere is great and the food is even better. The drinks and service were great and it is a very lively restaurant. I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

   Quite possibility the worst service I’ve had in an nyc restaurant. 4 people working the hostess stand who acted like it was their first time in a restaurant. Waitress was MIA whole meal. Didn’t receive our drinks until 3/4 of the way into our meal. The deconstructed guacamole is weird and not good

    Fun time, good food, friendly staff that doesn’t mind if you stay a long time. I always have a good time there. Great for friend groups.
