Food was late. guest was not able to finish her lunch as she had to rush back to lecture. Didn't take in box as salad doesn't hold well.
Seriously delicious food: the sole was sweet and melt-in-your-mouth while the steak was cooked to perfection. Don't even get me started on the dessert, I hope I can have that again some day. Loved all the courses they had for Valentine's Day, especially the rose at the end, it was very romantic. Fast service and a great job getting each course out before we got too full.
Great place good service
I love the Vine and Plate and visit every time I'm in town.
Dishes were over priced and you didn’t get enough food. $38 for a sliver of salmon and only one potato with the dish and no veggies. Waitress was not very friendly.
The food was outstanding. We felt service was a little slow considering that it was not that crowded. They were relatively friendly but we did have to ask about the soup and specials of the day rather than it being told to us unprompted. It was NYE and if it had been busy we would have understood things being slow, but it seemed more like we just got forgot a few times. The food really was great though and I would come back and recommend to friends.
Pasta was good. Burger was over cooked.
Good food, quiet romantic setting, but parking is still an issue.
SALT!!!!!!! Short Rib and Scallop dishes were both insanely salty. Made cringe faces they were so bad.
A bit over priced but very good. Food was tasty and good service.
This was Thanksgiving buffet. The food was very good quality with good choices BUT it was not very hot.
The service was very good. Hostess was welcoming and our waiter was very good. Predinner drinks, empty plate clearaway and after dinner coffee was excellent. Value for money? Yes but only just, due to the lukewarm food.
there were no carving stations or servers. No ambiance, flowers or decorations for Thanksgiving. Food sat in pans & dried out.
We went for the Thanksgiving Buffet for the second year running. Half the charm is the cozy way the dining areas are tucked away from each other. Although we chose a peak hour of 2 pm, we were unaware of the crowd of diners even when going to the buffet. Buffets with a large number of choices make my Thanksgiving. I remember one in which I had seconds on rice pilaf and mixed greens salad over any of the meats or deserts. At this buffet I enjoyed the brie and the quinoa with kale. The baked salmon with sauce was good. Turkey breast when secured just after delivery from the kitchen was tasty and well textured. Sauces do everything because buffet foods are normally bland. The sauce for the salmon made the quinoa interesting. The usual three types of pies were not items I anticipated enjoying. Not till I had a piece of apple pie with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Two negatives. The restaurant could do a better job of
keeping the food warm. Except for the turkey breast, which wasn't there on my first trip, the hot dishes weren't hot ...just lukewarm. The second thing was that the ham was inferior and more like a canned ham than a bone in roast one. My wife doesn't normally go for fish and never for turkey would have sent the ham back to the kitchen ..under other circumstances. She liked the sauce on the salmon and she loved the grapes and brie. Buffets--something for each and every diner. While we like dining out for Thanksgiving, we don't like the lines and hustle of the competing restaurants. Plate and Vine should advertise their offering because it is the best around. Relaxing and a bit romantic. We had a corner table but next to us was a table of eight adults talking in well modulated voices.
Thanksgiving Buffet offered most of the traditional holiday fare. Turkey was moist and flavorful. Unfortunately, many of the other dishes were barely warm. Pecan pie was brimming with pecans so the meal ended on a good note.
Toni, our waitress was WONDERFUL. Thoughtful, helpful and just sweet!!!
As always, food and service were impeccable!
Had a good server and apparently they had a large group somewhere else. LONG wait for entree after fantastic salads. Entrees arrived and were #1- almost cold salmon and potato, #2- Lukewarm rack of lamb and potato. We HATE to send food back or review poorly, but this seemed like a long wait for cool food. When server brought it back.....salmon entree and potato was exactly the same temp! and the lamb was slightly warmer!!!!!! What??? We are not picky, but have never ever had this happen! Have tried to figure this out but can’t believe a kitchen of a restaurant rated this highly sent this to the customer. We were courteous the whole time.
Most horrible experience ever! Felt uncomfortable, unwelcomed, and felt there was racism and homophobia with the entire staff!
Especially Nick - the front desk supervisor at the hotel.
Fellow OpenTable users, STAY AWAY from this place as you will regret it if you don’t.
We are always seeking a central location, where you can unwind, and have good food and drinks, after a long week. Plate and Vine encompasses all of these points. The food is good, and the atmosphere is just right. Above all the staff is great!
I have not had a bad meal here, so we chose it for a luncheon. The restaurant gave us the room/table we requested, and it was perfect for us to conduct our business meeting. The food was very good, although the group chose to have some changes to the menu (romaine lettuce vs. mixed greens, prawns vs. duck, etc.). The staff was very helpful and accommodated the changes with grace (THANK YOU)!
Good food, changing menu, great service, delicious drinks, nice venue and worth a try.
It is interesting that people are skeptical of a restaurant in a hotel. Some of the best restaurants I've ever been in are in hotels. Perhaps they are only skeptical of a Hilton, as compared to a Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton. Well, this Hilton has a hit.
After my first visit in Sep. '16 I thought Plate and Vine to be superior, and it is. I came because of the use of local, organic sources and sustainable ranched meats and, of course, the great reviews. I would say Plate and Vine lives up to its emerging reputation as one of the finest places to dine in the area.
The Rosemary Gimlet was unique (to me, as opposed to the more common thyme) and very good, and the white wine flight was a hit on every glass, a great selection to go with the dishes I ordered. I had the Wood Oven Flat Bread and the Seared Sea Scallops and found them both delightful. The ingredients and flavors blended are imaginative and perfectly complimentary and they were perfectly prepared. The organic spinach was especially blessed by the brown butter (a secret weapon of good chefs) and the scallops were amazingly high quality, expertly cooked.
Service was also expert, attentive, and prompt, provided by only one server, so there were very small lags a couple of times, but nothing really worthy of criticism.
I had hoped to up my review to 5 stars with a second visit, but, no. I had pork belly with a brilliant sauce, but they were tough and dry. I then had the smoked sturgeon and that was a real disappointment. The fish was wonderful, delicately flavored, tender--perfect. But it was covered in a thick, much over-done piece of prosciutto that was completely incongruent with the fish--very tough, very strongly flavored. The chef's ideas certainly did not work for me. I set the prosciutto aside and used 1/3 of the sturgeon roe and enjoyed the fish. Service was also less prompt than my first visit. So, no fifth star. But the chocolate cake is to die for, especially with a 20-year port.
Good fresh food served in peaceful and inviting place. I liked that the use local foods in almost all their dishes.
A solid choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Staff was great!
The Restaurant was in the Hilton Hotel which was very nice. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was also very relaxed. The wait staff were very polite and nice.
The meal was great. Our party of 4 had salmon and lamb.
It was my first time there and we will go again.
We go here for our management meetings about once a month. Food is always great and Toni takes really good care of us.
Love this place! We had our wedding reception dinner here a year ago and couldn't have been more impressed! We came back today for our one year anniversary and Griselda was an amazing waitress! She even remembered our colors from the wedding! Love, love, love!!!
Love Plate & vine and the staff is so friendly and the food is so good. I also love the wine list and the gin & tonic is my favorite.
This is the last of many times I have dined at this restaurant. It had been a favorite, but this time it was extremely disappointing. The server was overbearing and slow, the noise level in the restaurant was terrible and the food was disappointing.
The staff seemed unfamiliar with the dining rewards certificate and it took the manager quite a long period of time to figure it out.
This was a very stressful meal and I will not be going back in the future.
Very Good, great food, and service.
This is the second time we visited this restaurant. After the first time I said I would not return, however, a college suggested I reconsider. The host asked if I needed kids menus for my children, I said yes, he left and never returned with them. We got up and got our own. 10 min later the host returned as our waiter and said nothing of the menu. He would continue to come occasionally with a deer in the headlights look as if he didnt know where he was-- extremely awkward.
The food was bland, overcooked, and overall unpleasant. On a positive note, their kids pizza was pretty tasty.
Nice setting Fabulous service. Food was good portions on the small side and quite expensive for just lunch. Two salads and two soft drinks over $50.
The service was exceptional. Best waitress ever. Thank you Toni for being so patient and helpful. Dishes were different
Had to wait 30 minutes past my reservation time. I was okay with it, but my boyfriend already hates eating out so he was annoyed. Our server was nice, and our food arrived quickly. My BF's lobster Mac n cheese and pizza were both good. My salmon was overcooked, and we both thought the menthol-tomato stuff was gross. Disappointing because mine cost a lot more, lol. Overall things were alright. I'd go back for drinks and appetizers.
HORRIBLE VALENTINE’S DAY DINING EXPERIENCE
iSat @ our table for 20mins. w/o any waitstaff concern or accommodations (ie. water, courtesy, hospitality. After realizing we had no waitress @ our table, iFound the Mgr. and she took our order.....another hour wait, iWent to the cooks to inquire about my order since NO WAITSTAFF thought it valuable to assist us, we’re finally served entrees, which wasn’t appetizing @ all! 3 other couples in our area were treated like us....totally ignored. 👎👎👎
DO NOT DINE HERE IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN A GREAT TIME OUT.
Service was very slow. Food was only mediocre. We were waiting 15 minutes just to get the menus. Jazz saxophonist was very good.
Noisy , our server was slow and had a terrible memory. They had music going way to loud and were very under staffed we will not be going back.
Upscale diner. Quiet, friendly. Nice, basic menu. Decent food with good ingredients. Not sure what the white stuff was on the beet salad. Fun drinks. Weirdly over-attentive wait staff. We had three different waiters interrupt our conversation checking on us. Recommend for casual dining.
We always have a marvelous time here! Our waitress, Toni is fantastic. The staff is welcoming, and take care of all details to make this a real party.
