Plat Du Jour Bistro's cuisine is French influenced Mediterranean cuisine inspired by Chef Patrick Lord's Coastal New England roots. Wine and cocktails are a tremendous part of every meal, and we offer a variety of such in a range of prices. Our elegant dining room and lounge is a lovely part of the Wenham Tea House. In the spring and summer our outdoor patio space provides some of the most relaxing al fresco dining in the area.

Plat Du Jour Afternoon Tea is a full service tearoom located in the historic Wenham Tea House, which is the oldest operating tea house in America. The experience includes a pot of tea and a curated selection of finger foods. The food is a set menu which changes seasonally consisting of a variety of finger sandwiches, savory canapes, cakes, scones, macarons, and other pastries with lemon curd, jam and clotted cream. We offer a wide selection Harney & Sons teas as well as craft cocktails and a "Spike Your Tea" option.

The French onion soup is excellent. Everything else, not so much. The sauce for the duck breast was a non-event. The strawberry short cake was excessively salty and featured ReadyWhip. The chocolate mousse was closer to a pot de crème than a mousse and not memorable. Our server offered vegetables in lieu of potatoes to one of us, and we accepted, and then he served a plate with the potatoes in lieu of the vegetables.

My only regret is that it took me so long to discover PDJ. Everything was excellent, and I can't wait to go back. We both selected the scallops and risotto, and it was excellent. Will go back soon!

Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere, perfect date night spot. Our server Mark had a great attitude and was attentive during our time there. Started with escargot and crab cakes, both were delicious, crab cakes were better than escargot. I got the shrimp and the wife got the muscles dinner, both came out quickly and tasted great. Ended with strawberry shortcake and espresso martini, one of the better espresso martinis I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be going back.

As always Plat Du Jour delivers. We had a birthday dinner outside in the patio. The server was very sweet and efficient. I had the shrimp and my husband had the short ribs. Both were delicious. I had a creamcicle martini that was amazing! All in all a great place. Only down side was outside there were no see ums flying around, But they didn't interfere.

Halibut picatta was overcooked but the carrots were great. Lunch was a little pricey but overall good

Our out-of-town (Maine and Costs Rica) were very impressed with the quality of the food and the prices (the Costa Ricans having eaten in Boston and Cambridge for several weeks during their stay). We were delighted to host them at our favorite Sunday brunch spot!

Was really looking forward to my birthday dinner here. It was disappointed. Our waitress was new and obviously needed more training. After we sat down and ordered drinks she was back to take our dinner orders, but we had not even received the drinks yet so I felt rushed. At the other end of the meal, she was in no rush to clear away the dirty dishes. Two of us received their starters it I was kept waiting for mine and given the info that the kitchen was backed up. I got my escargot after they had finished their soups. Escargot were meh. Not enough garlic butter,too much bordelaise. No sauce to sop up. Beef Wellington was good. Duck got mixed reviews from the table. Mussels were so so, not a very flavorful sauce and no bread to dip. Frites were good . Hollandaise not. Sticky toffee pudding best part of the meal. Staff was accommodating to a special request. All in all, probably won’t rush back.

The food was very mediocre. Som dishes arrived lukewarm others were simply not prepared with a lot of thought or flavor. The service was very friendly but very unprofessional. Food and drinks were sometimes delayed and often arrived too quickly - things seemed rushed and poorly coordinated.
