Under Chef David Lee, Planta aimed at filling a void in the market of upscale, full service, plant-based dining options. The restaurant's vision is to celebrate innovative cuisine in a beautiful environment without the use of any animal products. There’s more to responsible plant-based eating than just taking animals off the plate and our commitment to using high-quality products from ethical suppliers provides the foundation for our chefs to be proud of the food they serve.

Staff was very cold. Rarely came to the table. Didn’t ask if we wanted drinks before ordering. Specifically told we were given “tap water”. Just how this is worded, it doesn’t sound like filtered water so I didn’t even want to drink the water. Sat other people in a mostly empty restaurant right next to us, after us, then took their order first, before even asking us a single time. Also got dirty looks when I asked for a fork to use. Very uninspiring environment. Not very unpleasant staff, would not go back.

We’re obsessed with Planta Yorkville, but this time we tried Planta Queen—and it was such a pleasant surprise! 💚 Beautiful Asian fusion decor and a totally different menu—Japanese-inspired and absolutely delicious. FIRECRACKER WINGS crispy cauliflower, sweet chili mayo, sesame, unagi 1,000 LAYER CRISPY POTATOES caviar, sour cream, chives 👉🏻unreal JAPANESE STEAK sweet potato, furikake, chimichurri 👉🏻 so realistic it was wild (our kids were shook! Enjoyable outing at an energetic resto, with service staff dialled in to customer service. Come for the food. Meat eaters, fear not: This night off of meat will give you the opportunity to explore the creativity of this menu. The tastes (watermelon and eggplant in sushi? Broccoli? Cauliflower?) kept on coming. We ordered the matcha cheesecake (four spoons) just to see the range. Rely on your server to get you the right amount of food.

First time experience was superb dunno if they changed the head chef or the afternoon chef but second time round there was no magic or umami or anything in the food was a bit disappointing nice but wouldn’t have a do over

We went to Planta for a birthday celebration and it didn’t disappoint! Food was good, service very attentive and ambiance was fantastic. Totally recommended!
