The food was incredible and the service 10/10. Can’t wait to go back!
We enjoyed everything we ordered. The udon noodles were amazing and so were the croquettes.
Awesome try the activated charcoal
Seriously some of the most creative and amazing vegetarian/vegan food I’ve ever had. Got the crispy rice nigiri (amazing) and the udon noodles with shaved black truffle - mind blown. Even had the udon noodles the next evening as leftovers and, despite being very skeptical of how it would hold up to the microwave, it was equally as amazing! Wish I lived in Miami so I could go more often 😊
Always great service, deliciously prepared food, gorgeous decor and a fun ambiance. Not only is it the best vegan in South Florida but it’s easily in my top 10 best food places, PERIOD.
Made reservation ahead of time to dine in the main room, where the ambiance is prettier and is more enjoyable (which is what they advertise). However we were seated in the 2nd dining room inside with bad lighting and low music and right beside the cash register(even though there were plenty of seats and tables in that room). There were a bunch of seats lying around our table(like if they were being stored there). Service took a long time, and food was okay.
Decided to come here for brunch since I had a great dining experience here two years ago for dinner. One of the people had never tried vegan food before and probably never will again. Service was very slow. Fire alarm went off during our visit - these things happen... it was running for about 10 minutes and no one seemed to care. Food comes out as it's ready, which we were warned about ahead of time, but it was about 20 minutes between each of us getting their dish... It doesn't take 20 minutes for a plate of burned fries to come out of the kitchen. The prices are exorbitant for the quality and quantity of food you get. Food was not seasoned well, needed salt, pepper, other seasoning. One of our orders of fries was overcooked and soaked in oil and the other person's was better, even their fries are inconsistent. The upcharge for the "cheese" on the burger is $11!!! But the cheese comes as breaded patty, not a melty slice of vegan cheese... This was not explained when we were asking about it, it was not melty and didn't taste great. The amount of ceviche was less than 1/4 cup, served on a big plate to make it look like there's more. Had to ask multiple times for lemons. Splitting the check was also a pain, we had to do the math instead of waitress splitting the check... And on top of that they include 18% tip for their sub-par service. On top of this, the parking in the area is abysmal and you have to pay $15 to valet. Typical South Beach, won't be back. Plant in wynwood is 100 times better.
Overall quite good but could have been more inventive. Should have more dishes like the "tuna sushi" made of watermelon and fewer salads and pizzas. Mushroom dish was stellar. Much hyped burger was mushy and not very flavorful. Service was excellent.
We are always happy to try a new vegetarian/vegan offering in Miami (despite not being vegans) and were delighted to get a reservation at Planta for a Friday evening dinner. The room has a cool Miami vibe and we were greeted, welcomed, and seated promptly. Our server was really pleasant and initially very engaging although as the evening went on he got somewhat overwhelmed with the number of tables he was serving and became scarce. The food was very good with some more of the more creative vegan offerings we have tried. The cauliflower tots and spring rolls in particular were excellent as were the udon noodles and Planta burgers. Overall the food quality was very good. A word of caution about noise levels. Be prepared to text your dining partners as the restaurant is very loud. Overall worth a visit but relatively pricey for the dining experience even for Miami.
Amazing menu! Exquisite, different, innovate, special and delicious. The restaurant deco is very glamorous and relax at the same time. Love this place
Food is delicious. Service at opening time on Sunday for brunch should have been better. We were first in and all the other tables had their waiter and water before us. We had to ask the hostess who & where our waiter was. I ordered banana bread and it didn't show up until after we asked the hostess. My husband had already finished his starter. Our waiter would disappear and not show up in the dining area. All the other wait staff was in & out. I don't know what else he was doing. It also didn't say that banana bread had chocolate in it. Though they asked about allergies, I'm not allergic, just don't like it. In order to make up for the delay in my order, the waiter said "the chef sent out" tater tots to try. It was topped with aioli which I can't eat due to issues with garlic. Thanks anyway.
Even after mentioning it to the manager, nothing was done. And we waited a while for our desserts. It will be a long time before we return. Including 18% gratuity is an issue for me.
I’m not a vegan, but Planta makes me want to become one! Ugh, the food is so good! I would eat here every single day.
Love the food and ambiance! A great place to enjoy vegan food!!
Nice restaurant overall. Good service. Very mixed food. Sushi was very good, beet and avocado dish was excellent. Pizza wasn't great and the pasta dish was awful. Cocktails weren't great either.
So so good! Shocked it was all vegan - best vegan food I’ve ever had.
Always excellent. Every meal has amazing taste. The only thing bothering this time was that at some point they put the music too loud but after 5 mins it went down again.
Went for Miami Spice lunch. Had crispy rice and cauliflower tots for appetizers - both tasty but small portions. For entrees we had the Frenchy pizza and Planta burger - both excellent and filling. For dessert we had the activated charcoal soft serve which was really good - creamy with good toppings. Nice ambiance - looks different in daylight than at night - and good service. Would return.
Love this place.. $300.00 glass of MACALLAN 25 YEAR topped it off nicely.. see ya soon!
Concept is more focused on profit than customer experience. Too many restrictions on ordering, (Miami Spice menu requirements are ridiculous), food came out randomly and before our drinks arrived. We were told this is "family" style but we wanted each plate to ourself and weren't allowed to have any other option. Then we felt rushed out upon finishing our meal. Food is good but the customer experience leaves much to be desired.
Very well executed, great service. I like coconut, but if you don't like it, there is a very high presence of coconut in the form of cream, milk etc. You can smell it in the air.
But we enjoyed it and def will be back
It was great. My fave rest
Great food. Took almost an hour to get our Entrees. Whole experience lasted 2 hours for brunch which is too long
Every couple of months we come back and try this place because the location is good. Every time we comment on how it continues to go downhill. The music selection all over the map, too loud to talk, chef always more inflexible and food always less tasty, the waitress this time was very sweet but that’s really the only positive thing I have to say. Such a disappointment from when they first opened. But that’s miami for ya.
Great upscale, yet casual, vegan experience. Saying that the food was delicious is an understatement. That is what really shines in this restaurant. I ordered the Udon Noodles and my boyfriend had the veggie burger. Both were OUTSTANDING. I also had the Mule cocktail, which was refreshing and not too sweet. The restaurant itself is gorgeous inside and out, modern industrial look. It's not particularly romantic, but definitely a nice trendy spot. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The ambience, service, and food were great! We went during Miami Spice for our wedding anniversary. We received complimentary champagne...awesome! This is my first experience at an all vegan restaurant. So I’m not sure how reliable my comment on the value is...even with the Miami Spice menu I found it to be a bit pricey! But...all the rest was fab! So if you’re not on a budget...go! And enjoy!
Todo bien con el restaurante en general muy bueno y acogedor, los precios un poco excesivos pero el resto excelente.
Great experience. Food came out fast and was delicious. Service was excellent. Ambiance was so cute and trendy.
Great food, service and ambiance!! Wonderful experience! Can’t wait to return!!
Planta is one of our favorite restaurants on Miami Beach. Every single dish we have ordered here has been incredibly delicious. The mock-maki and nigiri is one of the most interestingly and innovatively delicious things I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I’d recommend Planta to literally everyone but especially to people who are skeptical about plant-based cuisine.
Everything was fine, but not exceptional, and I was hoping for exceptional. I’d been looking forward to coming to planta for awhile and we finally came for spice.
The good: very pretty space, lovely waitress and hostesses. Some cool vegany science to create fun textures and unexpected flavors in certain dishes.
The meh: Most of the spice menu items are more like appetizers or snacks than a meal. The only abundant item was the pizza, which was just a lot of lukewarm, under seasoned dough with tiny droplets of cashew cheese.
The dumplings were super tasty, but came out of order. In fact, the food came rapid fire with no respect to coursing whatsoever. I had to ask our waitress to slow it down.
The wine pairing was sloppy AF. White with apps, red with entrees. A sake somewhere in there as well. And a desert wine. The choices were all actually super tasty. Except entree food items came with appetizer items, so it threw off the wine tasting. Which...there should be a specific wine thoughtfully paired with each individual dish. Not a white randomly thrown at any app and a red at any entree. I fell behind because there were 4 wines but 3 courses and had to ask for the dessert wine with the dessert. It seemed like the sommelier phoned this one in, and the staff wasn’t trained in how wine and food are supposed to have a symbiosis where one flavor enhances the other, and so it really matters to have the right wine arrive with the right course.
I would love to come back to try the full menu sometime, but based on my spice experience, I don’t feel in any particular rush to return.
Very creative vegan food. Portions are reasonable. Service is very good.
We went there for the Miami Spice experience and ordered the salad, the worst falafel balls I ever tasted. Dry, powdery, and completely tasteless.
Beautiful location, beautiful people, beautiful food. A+++
The best experience ever! They went above and beyond to take care of us! Catered to our dietary restrictions without making us feel like a pain. The food was amazing along with the service. A+++
My waiter told me I had attitude when I asked him to put $45 on my card and the rest on another. Extremely unprofessional. I will not be coming back.
The food blew us away; everything was cooked to perfection. The first course was amazing and I worried about if the following courses would live up to the reputation, but it did!
Will definitely come back!
