Outstanding food dishes. Outstanding service by Jesse.
I had been to the one in New York City and loved it.. this was just a treat and so special- it was delicious, fancy but edible and I loved every item we got! Super great date for vegan folk I wish there were some closer in Orange County!
Very lovely, although towards the end of the night they turned off the heaters before all diners were gone in an attempt to start closing up.
One of our favorite places for date night and special occasions.
The patio is absolutely lovely. Food and service were both excellent. As everything in this neighborhood though, it was expensive. Still... I'd go back!
Absolutely love this place and the staff! Planned a special occasion there and they were very accommodating.
All great, just hoping at point real menus will come back. :).
New Years Eve dinner at PFW was everything we could have hoped for! Inventive menu, amazing flavors and beautiful presentation. Absolutely perfect plant based meal. Staff was attentive and friendly. No rush to vacate the table. Truly a memorable meal.
Patio is THE place to be, even in California winter (heat lamps!). Kimchi dumplings remain a favorite, and avocado tikka had the warmth of Indian spices with plenty of cashew-cream goodness. Our table also loved the fettuccine and trumpet mushroom!
This is my favorite restaurant. It is not just about the food that is wonderful, but the whole experience of the beautiful and relaxing patio, the kindness of everyone working there. It is my special place to enjoy food and relax.
One of my favorite places in west LA! Always such a treat and beautiful dining experience. The pre-fixed menu was a surprise, and a delight!
The first time I went here, it was for my anniversary, and we were blown away. Their regular menu was absolutely fabulous. We went back for their Thanksgiving pre fixe + wine pairing and were underwhelmed… but decided to try again for their Christmas Eve pre fixe barely able to name the ingredients or even wine pairing types. I’d definitely recommend this establishment on a regular weekday. But the pre fixe experience needs work! & I’m not the type to write a negative review that isn’t constructive. I genuinely hope to continue enjoying this restaurant, hopefully for improved special events in the future as well.
We celebrated our 28th Wedding Anniversary. Everything was spectacular.
This restaurant has amazing food and very romantic atmosphere. Its true culinary experience. We were indulging in every bite. We keep goong back here and trying all the items on the menu. Amazing.
Overall food is flavorful. Prices are ridiculous when it comes to value 29 dollars for beans and trumpet mushrooms. Waited ten minutes before any of the plethora waiters actually came to our table. First plates came out before we had our drinks. When didn’t have listed wine brought different wine opened and ready to serve to table and then seemed shocked we didn’t want that wine. Tab showed increase wine prices compared to what was on menu ( ie wine listed for 12 per glass but charged 14)
We celebrated our anniversary and our server Alex was amazing. Made us feel so special and loved the food and ambience of the patio.
High end vegan.
Sat in the back garden, which was lovely. Food was meh... had the veggie burger which the wait person said was v. good..not so much. Heavy on the beets turning the bread a bright red. Also, expensive for what it was. HOWEVER, my friend liked her choice, the frittata. Might try again.
I give the service five stars and everything else was a resounding “meh”. My friend took me here for my birthday and we ordered three dishes + plus a dessert and with tip the total came to $120. That’s a lot of money for a mediocre meal. Even ordering their most popular dishes I was deeply underwhelmed. The cauliflower was mushy, the greens were extremely bitter, the dessert was relatively bland, and the dumplings were just lumps of paste in a weird rice paper. The only vaguely interesting dish was the mushrooms and even that failed to wow.
Our table was in the beautiful outdoor space but we were pretty cold so they kindly let us sit inside.. the indoor space is pretty bland so definitely better outside. The service was great and the food was outstanding but I have to say the prices for the size of the dishes were VERY high. They also tacked on a restaurant charge and the tip which although we may have tipped the same amount, I do not like that choice taken away from me. (There were 6 of us)…especially when there was an additional fee already
Our car being valet was great, that was a good sign!! Walking into the little wine bar with an amazing fireplace was beautiful. We were escorted to our seats in the outside. The lit up trees, the long fireplace and the smooth cement bench seats were a special ambient touch. The music that played was the same music we listen to, ver eclectic and modern earthy feel. Food was amazing, the presentation of the plates were spot on!! Our waiter was awesome!!!
The wife and I will definitely be going back!! Had a amazing time, ate amazing food and enjoyed ourselves…
Love this place! Food is amazing, the patio is so nice, and they are very careful to make you feel safe during COVID.
Not particularly great. Cheese was good but not worth the price
Very good food. Decent portions and great value for the service & quality overall. Nice setting in terms of decor and it felt special. Thank you!
Wonderful staff and interesting food and flavorful food.
The food was absolutely amazing. I got the plant bowl from the lunch menu and loved everything in it. The coconut cream pie is fabulous! Best ice cream I’ve had in my life. And the staff were all very friendly and very kind. Definitely recommend it. Will absolutely be back.
I thought i was walking into a spa. Was very cold feeling. Nobody really was at the hostess stand and then didn’t acknowledge our reservation. Twice the waitress took our food away without asking if we were done and we were not. We ordered a bottle of wine that they were out of and instead of giving us back the wine list she just brought another bottle so I didn’t know how much it was or where it came from. It did turn out to be delicious. The food is very good. Quite expensive for a bunch of vegetables. Probably not going back. Gracias Madre has way better atmosphere more lively more fun. This is way too serious for me.
My group reserved a table for the patio and we were on time for our reservation , but when arrived, we were told we could not sit on the patio, nor could we wait for an open table. Meanwhile, groups arriving after us were seated immediately on the patio. Our only option was to sit inside the dimly lit interior next to the kitchen noise and bathrooms. That being said, the food was delicious, especially the mushroom dish and the pear dessert. However, due to the issues with the reservation and the ambivalence the staff showed, I would not return or recommend this restaurant.
I don’t know where to start everything was amazing! This was our first time dining here. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with kindness. Our waiter was so pleasant and professional. The Thanksgiving prefix dishes were outstanding in presentation and flavor. We ended up staying longer than we thought we would have. The ambiance and service from everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. The seating and lighting wasn’t overbearing. Thank you Plant Food + Wine for the pleasurable experience. We will definitely be back for more!
We were there for my sons 17th birthday, we ate in the back courtyard, and as always it was charming and peaceful. The menu is always an experience of food adventure with parings that I would never think to use. Plate after plate of pure deliciousness. Love this place!
Exceptional Vegan Food! Had the mushroom toast and the avocado tikka and they both had impeccable flavors and were beautifully presented. Staff was attentive and very pleasant. We sat in the backyard which was lovely as well.
Price doesn't justify the quality and portions.
Both wine options we tried tasted like they been left open for over a day. Bland is the best way to describe the taste of 3 of 4 dishes we tried.
Only positives were the trumpet mushroom dish and the quality of the pasta (the actual pasta not the pasta dish). There's better food to be had at a better value elsewhere.
Truly delicious vegan restaurant. We were in LA for a week, ate at a variety of highly recommended venues and this was our best meal!
Never expected Vegan food to taste this good!
Great food, company and atmosphere. The service was excellent.
Always an amazing experience.
The food is so good. The service is great. Everything is on point.
Food was excellent. Outdoor dining area is very nice. Service was excellent.
What a wonderful space and creative culinary team! Even if you Arendt strictly a vegan, the food here will impress. Food magicians. Can’t say it any other way.
Beautiful location with even better food & wine!!!
