Need more restaurants like this! Fresh, organic, plant based meals!
Delicious food and I am not a vegan or even a vegetarian. We had the mushroom burger, jackfruit melt, arsenal cheeses, Venice salad. All perfectly prepared. We sat in the back garden for two hours and they didn't hurry us. An oasis in Venice Beach.
We didn’t have a good experience with the food. The taste, portion and cooking wasn’t good. Nothing like the everyday Menu. The soup was almost cold, the salad very heavy and the main dish very very salty and Huge a portion. The ice cream was good but the dessert didn’ t taste like much
I don’t recommend it for thanksgiving
Great experience beautiful venue and friendly/great staff. Will definitely come back 😃
Food was amazing! Server Alex was on point and informative. Ambiance was romantic and charming. highly recommend and will definitely come back
Fantastic food. . . truly, delicious. Friendly, attentive staff, super knowledgeable server. Outdoor patio was lovely. I only wished I had asked to be moved to a different table. I sat next to someone who didn't order anything to eat/drink. Not sure why, but it really bothered me. I don't normally get self-conscious about this kind of stuff. My time is so limited. Anyhow, that obviously isn't the restaurant's deal. Will be back!
Been a big fan of this place since it opened, but a little bummed about the recent menu changes. The cashew raclette was much better in the skillet drizzled with paprika oil (vs. the cornichon relish) and really missing the mushroom sandwich. ALSO, the Caesar salad is no more :(
Enjoyed the new scramble for brunch and the house-made cheeses are excellent. The jackfruit toast was totally Insta-worthy, but I must admit I'm not as in love with the food as I once was. Still, I would recommend this place for healthy vegan food.
The food, service and ambience were all wonderful. We sat on the patio which is lovely. Every dish we tried had amazing flavors. Nothing we didn’t like. And the coconut creme pie ended it perfectly.
The service and ambiance were truly wonderful, but the food was absolutely terrible. We tried 7 dishes and only liked one of them. We didn’t even eat the remaining dishes other than taking one bite to try them.
Plant Food + Wine is a very nice restaurant with great service. I loved the ambiance and the service was impeccable. Unfortunately I was not a big fan of the food. I thought that the food could have been more flavorful with a better combination of spices.
This was our second time dining at this great restaurant, the first time was amazing but not everyone wanted to do the course menu so this time me and my husband drove about three hours and made a day out of our food plans. The online menu still said the course menu was available to our surprise it was not. We were bummed at first but the food is amazing! I wasn’t crazy about the tempeh but I’m picky when it comes to tempeh. I wish they had a restaurant close to us in Palm Springs.
My new favorite restaurant of all time! Thank you for the incredible meal and warm and inviting experience.
We’ve been many times over the last 3 years, always impressed by every dish. We really miss whoever the old chef was, as last night was so bad we won’t be back. Even the salad was a shocking disappointment.
Overall the outdoor ambiance is great. I think this place is overpriced for what you get. I got the breakfast sandwich, in which is was highly recommended, it was small, and it didn’t tasty very good. I’ve had better at a fast food chain :(
Beautiful outdoor area
Best bread and crackers in LA
The cheese plate is even better than I remember it. That paprika affair with the quince. Jesus. The whatever it was with the fig preserves. That sauerkraut-like mustard seed stuff served with the other sort.
I lost track of the names, and I would love help with making them more memorable (maybe little labels next to the cheeses/preserves?). I love evangelizing the cheese plate, and it makes converts of anyone who tries it.
To be honest, I think I prefer Double Zero for dinner, though. Just more affordable, and I adore their pizza. But I've often wondered whether you've considered incorporating your cheeses in their pizzas?
Superb! Best food I have had in ages. And a very patient and tolerant waitress guiding the vegan heathens through the menu
great food as always. bummed that reservations don’t include patio:((. and within minutes walk ins got to go in back but we didn’t with reservations.
Amazing fare in a relaxed but gorgeous atmosphere.
We love Paris and the amazing food and service
Really amazing food and service! Cute ambiance and aesthetic for ig pics. Lowkey and quiet.
The restaurant has a really good vibe, lots of positive energy. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating. The food was high class vegan. Lots of raw items. Very little options for people who are looking for diversity in food (ie i like healthy and vegetarian but need my cheese to actually be CHEESE and not some nut paste version). Overall, very good for hard core vegans)
Amazing food and gorgeous patio
The food is incredible and the setting is charming (outdoors especially). The menu is unique and really requires some discussion for those unfamiliar with some of the exotic ingredients and preparation, which can be very important to make sure people are expecting the right thing with their orders. Unfortunately, our waiter did nothing to help us navigate the menu and seemed edgy and defensive as I tried to probe the subject for the education of my group. He knew his stuff, ultimately, but for some reason either felt like we should know it already or just didn’t show up ready to do the job that day. Unfortunately he was the only person we interacted with and missed an opportunity to engage us in the experience of this unique cuisine. Not being welcoming or helpful at all led to an overall disappointing experience. The entire experience would have been cold and mechanical, save for the wine, ambience, and food.
Took a friend out for a belated bday to Plant Food Wine on a Thursday night at 8pm. It was fairly busy and crowded with the usual young attractive hipster clientele you expect from a Abbott Kinney restaurant bar.
The staff was attentive and waitress was very kind, down to earth and casual. We decided to sit at the front near the entrance which I don’t recommend. After our meal we ventured out to the back patio and although much louder it was a much better ambience and definitely more of a romantic setting. Since I was with a pal the front was fine.
The menu was set up as a tapas style and
offered unique seasonal curated dishes that ended up like hors d’oeuvres, so if you are 2 hungry men be prepared to drop a little more money at this establishment.
The food was amazing, every plate was unique and every ingredient was fresh well thought of, complementing to its neighbors. All 100% vegan offering that resemble cheese, carbs and animal proteins but without you feeling it was a trendy mimic but more for the taste and amazing textures.
We shared everything a must of ordered 8 plates all about 4 bites each ! But the experience was more of a delectable taste test than a sheer volume meal. It just left you wanting more. I also ordered a $65 bottle of wine and desert and I left paying 260 (20 %tip included). I left feeling enriched from a tasting experience I never experienced before.
I was totally satisfied. Will I return?? yes perhaps after grabbing better valued wine
down the street at another bar before dining.
Would I recommend, yes absolutely. Specially if you want a romantic date with a
Vegan or someone who just loves food. I actually saw couples leaving there
to practically make out waiting for their Uber! The last time I saw that was in Soho in the 90s!! Haha showing my age.
Great food, expensive. Beautiful patio area.
The food was outrageously expensive for what it was. Wasn’t that great. Odd place.
We have been here three times before. The food is as good as ever, and the concept is as fresh as ever. The cheese plate is great, as is the gnocchi.
Flavorful dishes, beautifully presented. Patio ambience showcases the best of Southern California.
Beautiful back terrace - delicious food
Server was a bit on his own but we all
Amazing foods, decent portions and prices relevant to the exceptional produce being used. An expensive wine menu would be my only negative. Its cosy in the courtyard and beautiful ambiance
I had the raw lasagna, it was tasty but i do think there is something missing to it. The only solid vegetable in it was sliced courgette. The other ingredients were pureed and the taste was a little "samey" is the only way i can describe it. The ingredients tasted fresh and it was yummy but i just would not pick that item again. Service was great and i have ate other items on the menu prior and was all delicious!
Food is amazing! Udon noodles were perfection! But be careful of critters on the outdoor patio. It’s Venice though so critters are a part of the territory. Despite this I’ll be back!
To be honest, I wish I got more food on my plate. It tasted good, however, the price did not match.
Service was AWFUL. We had at least 3 different waiters concerned about our water but our server missed food from our meal, brought things out slowly and not all together, the place was loud and hot and it took forever to get the bill. The food was mediocre at best. Would not eat here again.
Our anniversary dinner at PFW was very special. The food, service and ambiance was all exceptional.
Fantastic service, creative dishes, and an amazing ambiance. 10/10
I love this place. It's got some of the best tasting vegan food in LA. It also has great servers. And the outdoor ambience is delightful. For those who prefer indoors, it's very modern and elegant. It's not inexpensive, but this is a great place for a special treat, especially for gluten free people, who can choose from 5 gf desserts.
I've said it once and I'll say it again. Best restaurant in LA. It's my absolute favorite. Food, ambiance, service, and overall vibe is ideal. Every time we go we get something we haven't tried before and we are blown away. It's incredible.
