While the food was indeed good, these were without a doubt THE smallest portions we’ve ever seen at a tapas restaurant. Even ordering 4 to 5 tapas @ $20+ ea will not amount to a small meal. One of the members of our party is of Spanish descent and was raised in Spain, so this wasn’t the case of being blindsided by the unfamiliarity of tapas. Inconsistency in portion size in repeat orders was also an issue. Wine and overall service was good. The place definitely has some charm. One of those places you’d probably return had you not felt being taken advantage of.
Great for wine and a few morsels, not quite a dining experience for us.
My second visit — brought my husband this time. Between us we tried the shrimp, beef empanada’s, Iberico ham, and the chorizo with roasted potatoes. All were served beautifully, with a lovely, lovely wine. Great fun in an upbeat setting. If the prices were more moderate, we’d make this one of our regulars.
Great way to start date night!! Definitely be back soon!!
Amazing service, food and ambianve
EXCELLENT service! Friendly staff! Our server took great care of us and made wonderful suggestions for both the food and wine. We will definitely be back.
The wine and food was great, and the service was excellent.
Eclectic setting, warm and knowledgeable service, and spectacular food.
Fantastic new wine and tapas bar in Old Town Spring for foodies. Small, intimate and upscale. Deserves to do well.
A very memorable meal for our mother-daughter date! Tomas was fantastic paring wine with our small plates. Simple but beautiful food. Every bite was delicious
Beautiful place great wine & food was delicious..
Fantastic restaurant, amazing food, and great ambiance!
This is our new FAVORITE place in Houston (Spring, technically).
Some friends recommended it to us a few weeks ago, and we were a little hesitant because it seems out of place in Old Town Spring, where burgers and beer abound - boy were we ever wrong!
This was one of the best meals my girlfriend and I have had in the past several years. Both of us are foodies - she hails from San Francisco, so we have pretty high standards.
The wines at Plane & Level are out of this world (We had a 2003 bottle of Mourvedre from Bandol) I struggled to find most of them for sale at any wine shop, so these are not your average varieties, and I was told by our server that the wines are hand-selected and directly imported from around the world.
The food (which is tapas!!) on par with some of the small plates at Michelin rated restaurants we've dined at! We had almost the entire menu, and it never disappointed.
Since when do you find 5 Jota Iberico ham, and Beluga caviar in Old Town Spring??
Incredible service, attentive waitstaff and a Master Sommelier round out the experience. The place is small, so make sure to reserve in advance, though they told us they have a larger expansion opening in the next 60 days, which we'll be sure to check out.
If you live on the north side of town like we do, go! If you live in town, it's worth the drive :)
A fantastic surprise of delicious food and wonderful wine!! Wow, we really loved everything we ordered off of the tapas menu which was almost everything that we shared with our friends. This place looks and feels like it would be somewhere you eat while on vacation or in a fine dining area of town.
