I love this place and always recommend it to folks, but restaurant week was very disappointing. Generic unhealthy food that you could get anywhere for half the price - not Plado level.

My friend and I went there for the restaurant week and we could tell they adapted their menu to make everything with fewer ingredients. We are not vegetarian, but there is no protein basically and everything is with cheese, cheese and more cheese. Cheeseboard has no prosciutto, only 3 pieces of cheese and bread. And the flatbread is all cheese with bell pepper, no meat at all. I never had tapas with this few variety. We were in shock. The salads and gnocchi are delicious tbh. Normally I always write positive reviews. But I really don’t appreciate when the restaurant treat you like a fool and assume you don’t know the difference. If you want a real tapas experience, get ready to be disappointed during restaurant week. To respond theirs below - the intention of this review is not retaliate but remind ppl - please read their restaurant week menu, since it’s a fixed menu, so we only scanned and decided to trust. Don’t assume a 4.7 star restaurant would serve you everything from their main menu. I didn’t know my friend has lactose intolerance until that day, cause she can actually eat some cheese just didn’t expect the amount and got very uncomfortable that night, and I was bloated until the next day. And forgot to mention, we do appreciate you accommodating our needs with an attitude and a mandatory 20% gratitude fee. I would find it helpful if someone wrote this review before we go. Cheers.

Thank you for dining with us. You chose to order the Restaurant Week menu that is comprised of dishes from our regular menu. You didn't have to chose the Restaurant week menu, our regular menu was offered as well. In addition you were able to see the dishes and a description of the plates offer ahead of time before you opted to pick that menu, so no fooling there. The first dish said cheese tasting, didn't say anything about a meat and cheese dish. Second the "Buratta Flatbread" has cheese, thats what Buratta is. You also forget to state that we accommodated you with an additional dish of Paella because you complained that there were too many cheese dishes. We did take care of you. Next time don't write a 2 star review for your negligence to read a menu ahead of time.

The food and drinks selections were fabulous. Lots of choices for all diners, right amounts to share, delicious and creative! The staff was efficient and helpful, great selection of cocktails, nice buzz without being frenetic. Wonderful!!

Although the artichokes and doughnut dessert were excellent, the green salad was meh (somewhat disappointing-- overdressed, not very interesting) and the smoked scallops weren't soecial (but expensive). Service was fine. It is very very noisy. Am curious why a dog was allowed to hang out at my feet (didn't object because it was quite well behaved)....in a small space, that's a little challenging.

The food and service are extraordinary. Can't wait to go back. My one issue,... great music, just way too loud. It was a bit of a struggle to have a conversation.

Food was generally excellent (short ribs were a bit boring but the octopus, tuna, meatballs, eggplant and artichoke dishes were first rate). Service was friendly but slightly distracted--for example we were brought food before we received silverware or napkins. Also, oddly, the only non-sugar sweetener we received was Sweet & Low, which I haven't seen at a restaurant in a long time. Overall, though, I will definitely return.
