As always,Place Pigalle has a calm, warm ambiance, just enough bustle that you are part of something, but quiet enough to talk. White tablecloths, views from every table of Elliott Bay, it is, in my opinion, the finest restaurant in downtown Seattle and moderate prices to boot. Soups, salads, mains are all fresh, light French cooking at its best. Superb service in every way, and utterly delicious food. It is my favorite restaurant in Seattle and the first choice for evening or lunch whenever I want a perfect meal in a lovely place. Great, intimate little bar and bartender as well. It isn’t the place for a large rowdy bunch. It’s where you can actually enjoy talking to the people at your table.

This French restaurant is a tucked in gem right at the Pike Place Market. The service is fantastic, they are very attentive and polite (especially Guy). The food was exquisite and well priced given the quality; I'd be back soon.

The ambience including views of Elliot Bay and intimate seating is fantastic. Service couldn't be better in terms of friendliness and knowledge about menu (ingredients) and wine pairing. Only two things stand in the way of this being my favorite local restaurant: the noise level when all tables are full makes dinner conversation difficult without speaking very loudly, which in turn everyone has to do, making it quite loud. Happy but loud. Secondly, when the sun is setting the sun can reflect off one of the mirrors in the restaurant making it blinding if you're unlucky enough to be sitting in just the wrong spot. Still, given the food and the size and the outstanding wait staff, I'll return again and again.

It’s a small place tucked into Pike Place Mkt with views of Elliot Bay. The food was excellent. Steelhead, pasta with sausage, fish soup were all tasty with perfect seasonings. It’s a tad pricey - more on the $$$ side than $$ that Open Table has assigned. Mains were 35-44. Good for a special occasion.

Pigalle is our go-to destination when we come to Seattle from Portland. The ambience is amazing with views of the sound and a cozy feeling to the house. Service was excellent, prices high (but worth it), wished the bread tasted as good as it looked, and the salmon tasted better than I can remember. Before you know it this will be your it place too.

always reliable even after all these decades! Love the setting and the yummy food as well as the touch and taste of France. This is a good date night spot. Not a good place however for families or small children as this is an intimate restaurant where other diners are close by. There is also a sweet little bar to enjoy as ell.

It was super busy and noisy. It was the final days of Restaurant week, so I'm guessing that's the reason. The salad was WAY overdressed, I could barely eat it. The Pasta was fine, nothing special. The service was fine but totally hurried and unengaged. Everything was done right but nothing was really heartfelt if that makes sense. Too busy, too many tables per server, too frantic. It's such a lovely space and I would imagine under "normal" circumstances it's lovely. The food was just OK, EXCEPT the Pot-de-creme which was incredible:).
I will always recommend it for the space, view, and iconic Seattle experience.

Most of the waiters have been there for years and are very good at their jobs. I especially like the French onion soup. The views of the harbor activities are special. In the summer when outside seating is available, it a great view of the harbor.

It was my first time at this restaurant. The food and service were very good, but since I choose the restaurant because it was one that came up when I filtered for “quiet” I was disappointed when a group of 6, some clearly drunk and loud sat next to our table. As a person in her 50s, being able to hear the conversation at a table is has become a top criteria at a restaurant.

We visited on a weeknight (Restaurant week) and each chose from the 3 course menu. The waiter was fabulous and knew the menu inside and out. As we pondered a bottle of wine, he provided a description which was spot on. We enjoyed the warm beet salad, octopus and country sausage, rigatoni bolognese. And dessert! If the point of Restaurant week is to introduce people to a restaurant and create future business, this succeeded. We will be back! An intimate, efficient and gracious service, delicious experience.

This place is overpriced for the quality of the food that they serve, mediocre. The flavors don’t even compliment each other; the beans were too sweet for the duck and the cheese inside the rabbit was very strong that it overpowered the whole dish. Very disappointed. The escargot and oysters were the saving grace, and they were nothing special.

We hadn’t been here in years. A Seattle classic and overall very classy place. Hidden away in the Pike Place Market. They made us welcome and the food was great. Price to quality was a little high. Also noisier than I remember. But there were a couple of large groups that night. Still very attentive staff and service. Great date or special occasion place.

Place Pigalle is one of the special Seattle restaurants. The ambiance is bistro casual with small tables and linen table clothes with a great view of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains. We watched the sun set when we ate dinner there recently. The food is superb--even the mixed greens salad is distinctive. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the bouillabaisse and the lamb steak was outstanding. We even treated ourselves to dessert--delicious! We especially appreciate that we can hear the other's conversation.

We have eaten at Place Pigalle several time in past years but this was our first visit for some time.
The food is good if relative expensive. Service was excellent. My only negative was the 2.5 % charge for "living wage" and 20% tip. I do not mind paying a good price for good food but these extra's our very annoying.

The host seemed bothered when I asked for a table with a view of the water- which is one of the big draws for this place being At Pikes Place Market. It was a awkward table with a strange view, and without asking, he later closed the shade for other customers due to sunset. Acknowledging that I was there, asking if I minded the shade being drawn, given that I was enjoying the view would have gone very far in making me feel like a valued customer.
The salad was tasty, the bouillabaisse was good, but not enough for me to return.

Many reviews note the intimate atmosphere. However, there are a lot of hard surfaces, and it was, overall very loud. Difficult to hold a conversation throughout the entire night. It was not intimate at all. Food was fine, but not spectacular. Service was choppy. Waiter would go missing for 15 minutes leaving dirty plates on the table, then back again being very friendly. Overall it was OK, but, given the prices my expectations were much, much higher. I probably would not return even if they dropped their prices in half. Much better value, service, and atmosphere to be had elsewhere.

We shared the foie gras appetizer, a large plate with toast, cornichons, whole grain mustard, strawberries, it was plenty to share. We also shared a warm beet salad with arugula and goat cheese,also-plenty to share. I had the king salmon special which was done perfectly. My husband had the lamb steak and his was cooked perfectly also. If you want to sit by the window they sit people by the windows as they arrive, so either get there before 6 or wait until later when the early diners are leaving. The wine selection was a little limited as they were out of some bottles the were on the menu. Service was very good.
