   Our server was great! He was kind enough to allow us to move to another table with a better view of the terrace and restaurant has a good ambiance. However, breakfast buffet is not that impressive. The food selection is just so-so and the salmon on the eggs benedict didn’t taste fresh. I did like the fruit selection but not a lot of selection for desserts.

   The quality of the food was poor. Our scones were dry and the accompanying sandwiches tasteless. We have had high tea at the Frontenac in the past and this did not even come close to our expectations

   I have done afternoon teas in other establishments and my experience here was just okay. While the service was great, the scones were not scones. They were small biscuits like you would get from Pillsbury. Nothing special to them and they were actually quite dry. I would expect more from the Chateau Frontenac. The rest of the food was also just okay although the China settings were quite pretty.

   Overlooking the terrace of Quebec City, the service was excellent. Tea selections were outstanding and there was a wide variety of tea types and there were non caffeinated choices. Scones, Devonshire cream,sandwiches and pastries were expertly prepared.

   Malheureusement, nous avons été bien déçus de notre visite. Les mets ne sont plus à la hauteur de ce que prétend cette salle à manger et aussi eu égards au prix du buffet. Les oeufs bénédictines étaient mal présentés, pas appétissants et pas goûteux . Des croissants “dégonflés” (qui n’ont pas levés), pas suffisamment cuits étaient quand même présentés aux clients …. Mon mari a été malade tout de suite en rentrant à la maison! On nous annonce aussi qu’il n’y a plus de chef au Château … La rigueur semble partie aussi … Nous avons déjà aimé aller au Dufferin mais je crois que c’est chose du passé. D’ailleurs, peu de clients étaient attablés. Auparavant il n’était pas possible de faire des réservations …. Maintenant, on peut le faire car le Dufferin était peu fréquenté lors de notre visite. Des changements, de la rigueur et de la qualité doivent être apportés ! Ça doit changer!
