PJs @ Tahoe Mountain Club
We have sourced all these products and more to create our Pan Seared Rainbow Trout, Durham Ranch double cut pork chop, Roasted Baby Beet Salad, and our one of a kind Ahi Wonton Tacos, not to mention the best burger in Truckee....our Classic 1/2 lb Burger. All of this and a spectacular location with mountain views and the most inviting patio in the area.
Don't miss our Happy Hour from 7pm to 9pm daily except Tuesday, offering $4 well drinks and house wines, and $3 draft beers, as well as $2 off selected appetizers.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had!
PJ's was nice. The food was fine but not anything special. The blues soundtrack was very good and not overwhelming. The Sierra mountains and golf course view was great. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. I guess our mistake was to sit outside, where the weather was fantastic but we had to share our food with pesky yellow jackets! Too bad... I would like to return and be able to enjoy the outside seating.
I had not eaten there in about a year. They really kicked it up a notch. It's not just a bar to get drinks and snacks. It is a real restaurant with great food. In door or out door seating, with a view of the golf course. Our waiter, Cale, was exceptionally good. What a great place to go after you finish your golf game.
Wonderful new menu, food was really good. Fabulous location-try it, it's a delightful surprise to find the new menu and everything tasting so great.
Early sitting had a high population of bees - some in our group were uncomfortable. Later once sun was down and wind down the bees moved on. Food and Service was great. Recommend for quietness and view!
Service was attentive but slow. Need education on wine bottle service. Food was ok.
Great food and drinks. Love this place!!!!
Although cooked well, $40 for a small skirt steak, 3/4 of one small turnip "root vegetableS", and a teaspoon smear of what was supposed to be potato puree. And a martini up, which must have been half olive juice..ya, not coming back anytime soon. Oh, happy hour, starts at 7pm?
Seeing old friends
Great ambiance and service! The cauliflower and mushroom appetizers were the best part.
Beautiful setting with mountain view and valley views. Good quality food. Friendly staff. We tried PJ's on a holiday weekend. It was crazy busy in town. PJ's offered a great escaped for the crowds. A true mountain treat.
Excellent evening! Fish tacos were very good and view from outside deck is outstanding.
Bartender was really nice. Fire pit sculpture was gorgeous! Loved sitting there after dinner with my hot tea and husband:)
Ordered a Caipirinaha, a Brazilian drink which they provide on their list of specialty cocktails. The main alcohol for the drink is Cachaca. This drink didn't taste good, nor was it a Caipirinaha, nor did the bar even have a bottle of Cachaca.
Ordered the Ahi Tacos, which had 6 tacos last time I was there, and this time only came with 5.
Ordered the Hen Mushroom app. Was delicious but only for two bites, and it was gone... needs to be half the price or double the size.
The battered fries, and waffle sweet potato fries have always been worth the visit alone... Guess what they don't have anymore??!! A simple skin-on fry is the only option because someone apparently complained about gluten, so why didn't someone working there just recommend they order the sweet potato fry, or maybe they shouldn't really be ordering fries in the first place if they're so concerned about their nutrition.
It's a great setting so I'll probably continue going there on occasion, but it will be less frequently for sure, as the overall food experience has been compromised.
Server tried to clear appetizer plate before we received appetizer. No biggie, just puzzling.
Sunday’s chef special was awesome! Thanks for a great meal!
Thanks so much for your feedback! We couldn't be happier that you enjoyed your meal, and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Mark
PJ's has changed management. They revised their chefs and menu. It's overpriced, tiny portion gourmet food (mediocre). Used to be a family place we would frequent once a week in the summer. Not a place now to even bring the kids. So disappointing. ..
Thanks a bunch for the feedback, and let me say I'm truly sorry you didn't enjoy your meal. I'd love to chat with you about it and see if I can make things right.
