Great burger that is underrated! The service is perfect. Not too much, not too little. It gets a bit loud and it's an "older" bar so there isn't any updated experience - floors are old, tables a bit uncomfortable, people squished in .. but amazing place for a lunch.
When in NYC we always go to P.J Clarke's.I've going there since I was a child . It was one of my parents' favorite restaurant. I love the food, the atmosphere, the happiness that you feel when you're there. I would certainly recommend it as must go place in NYC.
This was our second trip there in the same week. Both times the food was amazing (please try ANY of their burgers). Both times, the service was wonderful. Sarah and Anthony took great care of us.
Always a great take !
Lunch with friends from out of town, P.J. Clarke’s is always a charmer! The fish and chips were crisp and hot and delicious!
Food and service were great. Not fancy but really solid food and bar choices
Always good to make a reservation; quite a few people didn't have a reservation and had to wait..
Food was mediocre but way overpriced. Felt a little rushed by the wait staff, despite there being many open tables.
Sorry to hear that Emily. Was it the burger or the fish tacos that you did not enjoy? Also, I would never want anyone to feel rushed in anyway. I sincerely apologize if thats how we made you feel. I hope this experience has not soured you on PJ Clarke’s as I’d love the opportunity to make it up to you. Please reach out if you’d like to give us another shot. - Michael Long, GM
our server Pat was great! opted for the fried egg on the cadillac burger. my boyfriend and I had a great meal! :)
Thanks Alex! I’ll be sure to share your kind words with Pat.
Had a wonderful evening! Food and drink were excellent. Our server was personable and gave excellent recommendations.
Thanks for the great review. Do you recall your server’s name? I’d like to share your kind words with them.
It's a nice place. Too noisy and the tables are too close together
Thanks for the review David. We are in the process of addressing the noise level. In the meantime, we have some nook tables available upon request that provide a bit of reprieve from the crowds as well as our dining room on the second floor, Sidecar, for those looking for a quieter, more elevated PJ Clarke’s dining experience.
been coming to PJ Clarkes for almost 50 years. most restaurants get old and food gets bad but not here. it is a bit pricey for lunch but the service and high quality food make it well worth the visit. although I now live in Boston, when business brings me to mid town this is my first choice.
Thanks for the great review Mike! Hopefully business brings you back around soon.
Never disappoints! Amongst the best burgers in the city, nice atmosphere, PJ I'm sure would be proud.
Thanks Matt! We’re doing our best to carry on his legacy.
The best burger of New York, we loved it! A very nice and cozy restaurant with a cool bar!!
Thanks for the great review! It is a really good burger.
Service was okay but food was bland
Sorry to hear that. I’d love to find out more about your visit so I can use it as a learning experience for my team. Please reach out at your earliest convenience. - Michael Long, GM
I always enjoy going to PJ Clarke's. The food is always great!
Thanks for the great review!
Had not been there in years and it was as good as I remember
Thanks Edward! Hopefully it’s not that long until your next visit.
Witch my family
great atmospgere. exxcellent food and terrific service
Thanks Gail! Hope to see you again soon.
Great quality, fresh products, excellent experience overall.
Cons: lack of food choice for kids, you end up ordering 15$ appetizers for toddlers. No high chairs either.
The lobster roll was terrific and our server was delightful and welcoming. Great experience!
Thanks for the great review!
Absolutely perfect meal with the family during our New York break! Service, food, drinks, ambience and surroundings all perfect. Highly recommended!
Thanks for the great review Lesley!
Old school New York restaurant with a traditional menu that is consistently good, especially the seafood and the burgers. It’s a must for us every time we visit NYC
Thanks for the great review! See you next time.
Very serviceminded staff. Delicious burgers.
Great atmosphere, but a bit noicy for «Old» people.
A place We definately will come back to.
Thank you so much! Looking forward to your return.
I had the truffle lobster mac and cheese and, as advertised on the menu, it was the best I'd ever had. I even recommended it to customers at the next table.
Thanks for advertising for us! Glad you enjoyed it so much.
This is a fun place to visit once for the experience, but it was definitely overpriced. Food was good and had decently large portions (depending on what you order), but when the waiter boxed my leftovers, he did not include all of the food that was left on my plate (only about half), which I found disappointing, especially for how much I paid for the meal. Dessert was the highlight for us! The chocolate oreo cake with ice cream was delicious.
Was on my bucket list after hearing about the "Cadillac Burger", appropriately named by Nat King Cole. And it was worth the hype! It had all the juiciness & richness you'd want from a perfect burger! Also tried the "Proper Fish & Chips", which were perfectly prepared and paired with their chunky style tartar sauce and a side of malt vinegar (better than most London pubs, btw.). Pricey here, but definitely worth it. Also, you gotta love all the history at this place!
Thank you so much so the great review! I’ll be sure to share your kind words with Carol.
