I had two sides as my meal - the truffle fries and the mac & cheese. Both were fantastic! The mac & cheese has bacon in it, but I'm betting they actually use pancetta. My friend had a salad that was so beautiful! Also, our server Delores was so pleasant and made excellent suggestions. I love the Third Ave location, but will happily return to this downtown gem.
Been eating those burgers for a long, long time. East Side, West Side, now Downtown. Reliable, good, solid.
Chose to stop in for lunch since it was close to the event we were going to. Great decision. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by the friendly hostess. We were seated and quickly attended to by Sarah. She was sweet, knowledgeable and friendly. The food, oh boy the food. Everything was amazing. We started with some Cowboy Oysters, they were fresh an yummy. I had the Smoked salmon eggs benedict. It was light, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The hubby had a Clarke burger. it was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The girls had French toast and Avocado toast. The both enjoyed their dishes very much. What a gem PJ Clarkes was. All the staff we encountered were so friendly. They smiled, said hello and even made some small talk. Definitely would recommend.
Friedly staff but too busy and server forgot drink order. Food marginal and too pricey. Commercial, poor acoustics, stick to the original for a bar experience this location is pricey and not even interesting! A suburban mall restaurant for sure!
This is a great spot for outdoor dining with Hudson River views. Food is good. Our service was lacking.
Our wait staff was amazing! She was attentive and observant as was a gentleman that was not our water.
Took 45 min to get food. Server didn't notice or care that food didn't arrive. $30 for salad consistenting of 1.5 cups of chopped salad and 4oz of salmon. Never going back!
Loved the suggested Froze', burgers were made to order as well as the fries. Great views, service and timing.
When you go to PJ Clark's, you have to get the burger! It's a must! When at brunch, you must pair that burger with a Bloody Mary and you will NOT be disappointed. This is a drink on massive steroids! Makes all other Bloody Mary's pale in comparison.
Great food and extra friendly service.
Out of 2 main options on the menu. Cold food. Poor quality for price
Very accommodating place for a large and loud party. Grateful for service and yummy food.
Had an amazing time as always, but upset they took the fried onions off the menu.
Lobster Rolls were amazing but we need fried onions, please.
Friendly service, excellent food
Beautiful spot for outdoor dining. Food is just average or below but service is very good.
Good food and well crafted drinks. Exorbitant prices ($19 brunch cocktails - $25 with tax and tip; or $76 for a bottle of generic rosé wine, meaning $100+ with tax and tip). Excellent ambiance for brunch on a sunny day under the trees next to the marina. Will come back for sure, but will be ready to pay a premium.
So glad that they are back!
Great food and great service!Every employee was terrific!
I’m glad the lobster roll is back! Food is fantastic!
Food service was a bit slow and we had some cold french fries
great food, great service, great staff and a wonderful waiter...what more could you ask for?
Great place to eat outdoors on the Hudson. Food was delicious and the service was very good.
Fantastic view. Good food, friendly service. Definitely will look for a reason to come back.
You can't beat the view sitting outside at PJ Clarks. But, it was not the Father's Day dinner we hoped for. We had a 5:30 reservation and we were rushed from the moment we sat down since the kitchen closes at 6 on Sundays. We weren't told what was no longer available on the menu until we tried to order it. Forgot the salads altogether and brought out the raw bar platter at the same time as the burgers. Medium burger was nearly raw. Server was nice and apologetic, but inattentive, leaving dirty dishes piled up - no excuse for that.
It was my anniversary. I ordered appetizer that never came.Service was spotty with waiter apologizing several times for his absence. Table next to us in the open outside had a dog which kept incessantly barking. I appreciate the food quality and outside ambiance but the service is terrible.
This place used to serve high-quality, upscale pub food at higher-than-pub prices. Now, portions very small, prices too high. I ordered a chopped salad which came in a small dessert-sized bowl. Burger was small and that's all you get except for two paper-thin pickles. Roast chicken also a small portion. Left feeling still hungry. Food arrived barely warm, not hot at all. Not going back anytime soon.
It's a great place to eat outside when the weather is good (it was). Service was slow in between shifts. Food was OK.
Lousy service every dish came Luke warm
Truffle Parmesan fries lacked truffle
Chopped meat dish well done practically inedible
Coffee was Luke warm
Waitress was awful disappeared all the time
Food was average. Location is nice although can be a bit loud. Service was fine. Decent place to meet up casually but nothing special.
Nice food and extra friendly service.
Food was good. Ambiance was the highlight. Service was also decent
Went to celebrate bro birthday. Very loud and crowded. Nice waiter. Food was pricey.
I love the location of this restaurant and the food/drinks are very good. However, we had a 5:00 reservation and was told the kitchen closed at 6:00 after we only ordered a round of appetizers. I wish that was noted before we made the reservation. Other than that...it was a lovely evening.
My first time and I love the food the place and all the surroundings have already spend the word about it
Really friendly people working there, but the food wasn't good at all.
Birthday. Service was not consistent. Food was ok. The Spanish frittata was not even warm and it was a 90 degree day. The Bloody Mary was so spicy 2 of the 3 people who ordered the drink either returned it or just barely drank it. Kudos foe the stringy onions. Vanilla brownie Sunday was fine but the desert selection was anemic. Fortunately the location is wonderful.
12:00 pm reservation —sat at 12:10 even though table was ready, the servers were not out yet. Kept being told “waiting on service.” Finally say and ordered coffee and server never came back for food order. Had to go to the host stand at 12:45 to confirm we still hadn’t ordered and no one checked on us. Finally ordered and placed an order for a Spritz cocktail....kept going back and forth with the waitress, I knew she was unsure of the order. She came back with two Sprite sodas. Explained again, finally got the Spritzes. When the bill came the Sprites were on the bill. Had to explain to her we didn’t offer the sprites and shouldn’t have to pay for them. Our lunch ended up being 2.5 hours, and while I appreciate not being rushed on a 90 degree day in nyc, it was a little rough sitting there with one thing going wrong after another. Big PJ Clarke’s fan, but this was a disappointing experience.
Excellent food and a great atmosphere! Only concern was the hostess who was going to give our table away because he were 8 minutes late to our reservation time due to waiting in line for checking in at the restaurant and gave us attitude when we
