P.J. Clarke's-Lincoln Square
Very convenient after our show. Staff very nice. Mini burgers were great, BBQ ribs kind of burnt on one end. Flavor was good though. Had a great time!
Jumping and fun on a weekend night, but way too loud. Good food and service. Excellent tracking of reservation.
It was a special occasion (also noted in the reservation) - and the choice of seating and service were incredibly disappointing
Pre opera lunch with friends.
Wonderful food great atmosphere.
My salmon was overcooked and had no seasoning on it at all. The service was a bit slow but we had time to spare. Overall I was disappointed.
Seated immediately by a very friendly Maitre D. However, he neglected to confirm the we honored our Open Table reservation; thanks to OT this was corrected. I had the burger and my partner had the arugula salad. Though my burger was cooked perfectly it was warm not hot; you must pay extra for fries. Liked the ambience.
As we decided the food was just meh, I cancelled our reservation for the following Wednesday which was going to round out an evening with the opera Wozzeck. Will go someplace where the food is better.
I don't prefer loud raucous bars but food is good and location superb.
Loved the oyster assortment. Burgers are okay by Manhattan standards but not more. Nice ambience.
I chose PJ Clarke's from the Open Table list when looking for a place to have lunch before a Lincoln Center event. I really, really enjoyed my lunch. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was outstanding. Service was lovely. And the ambiance was so NYC Sunday lunch/brunch style. PJ Clarke's was a great choice for me. In fact I just made another reservation for when I'm going to another Lincoln Center event in a few weeks.
First meal here- will be back! It was pretty busy on a Saturday night, as you might expect, but we never felt rushed and the service was attentive and friendly. Kept it simple- the Caesar salad was huge but also so delish that I ate the whole thing. Steak was excellent and perfect temp, and the desert was worth the splurge.
Had round table available and would not sit us there
Will never go hear again
PJ Clarke's is a local neighborhood restaurant so have eaten there a lot. The food is always good. Good burgers. I've sat at the bar to watch sports and always get great service from the bartenders.
Old friends get together for brunch.
Great brunch pre-Metropolitan Opera matinee. Service was excellent!
the music was outstanding....60s motown and great background for dinner
We decided on P.J. Clark’s because it’s right across from the Lincoln Center. Our waiter Chris was so friendly and helpful. We had short ribs, the special of the day, and they were outstanding!
I ordered the mahi tacos. Everything good except the overcooked fish.
Most of the appetizers are fat laden.
Sorry to say how disappointing our experience was. Despite reservation, and a phone call, we were not informed that we had to be seated downstairs. Steep steps. Food was mediocre and not worth the money. Attitude compounded the experience
The food was fabulous but it was nothing compared to the service. We were treated like royalty and they made sure we made it to our show on time. Highly recommend it.
Iconic place. right across the Lincoln Center and great dining before a show.Be sure to book especially on the weekends otherwise the wait can be. 45min-1 hr. upstairs the noise level can be challenging but downstairs its much more quiet.
Everything looked yummy from the burgers (huge) to pot pies. I opted for the 1.5. pound lobster roll done neat with butter on the side . The bread was soft and not mushy. and the lobster fresh. I got a side Caesars for $5 more instead of fries which. wasn't worth extra . Service was sweet if a little slow but they do not rush you.
Server took very long time to appear. A very long time to wait and an attitude. Others with different waitstaff had much faster service.
Early dinner pre opera. Noise level was relatively subdued for a Friday night (albeit 2 days after New Years). Oysters were properly chilled and delicious. (Mignonette sauce would have been nice.) Cadillac Burger was perfectly cooked, fries were warm and tasty, pecan pie (a la mode) generously proportioned. Service was attentive and professional. A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience!
Great dining experience
I came to this restaurant to bring in the New Year and celebrate a birthday. I WILL NEVER EAT at this restaurant ever again. The service was poor the restaurant manager was rude. Our server was kind she would be the only highlight for the evening. The food was disgusting and tasteless with no favor at all. I spent $280 for food that didn't have basic salt or pepper. I would not suggest this restaurant to an enemy let alone a friend. DON'T GO!!!!!!!
My waiter was excellent. Very attentive. The food was perfect. Excellent experience!
We had a fantastic experience mainly because of Mazin!! The atmosphere was festive inside, hence not having the Christmas lights on outside due to the rain. But the action of him trying to turn them on regardless just to celebrate my daughter’s birthday was so thoughtful! Food and desserts were great too. My only suggestion is if there’s a big party at the table, just leave a pitcher of water at the table. 😊 I feel like our girl was spending more time filling the glasses than she needed to. We can fill our own glass when she’s so busy.
I would have given an overall and food rating of 5 stars if my piece of fish was a lot bigger for the price.
Food took 50 minutes to get to the table and it arrived ice cold. They had to replace our order and that took an additional 20 minutes. The waitress completely disappeared. She never came back because clearly there was a problem. I spoke to the manager who did send desert to the table and took $120 off our bill. However , we will not be returning. It ruined what was supposed to be a memorable brunch for a family holiday reunion.
Good restaurant. Fun atmosphere, nice staff and good food. Very convenient to Lincoln Center.
The vibe was great and the service was excellent
A nice restaurant with nice staff
We have never had a better Burger than the Wagyu. Medium rare as requested. Amazing! Will definitely go back next time in NYC!
Fantastic service from our server Carol! Even treated my group to a slice of chocolate cake since we were celebrating our reunion! Always a good time
Our waiter was not timely and multiple times during dinner either the manager or another staff filled our drinks. The chopped salad came without lettuce - entirely. Our table was rocking back and forth, so much that water would spill from the glasses - even after the waiter attempted to correct. Disappointing as we enjoyed P.J. Clarke’s every year before the Nutcracker. We’ll find another tradition going forward.
Food was great and service was great. A must go
We see a production at Lincoln Center at least a dozen times a year, yet have never considered a meal across the street. Tonight our reservation for 8 was promptly seated and incredibly well attended. When I made my initial dinner selection, our server made a suggestion that I try something else, which was absolutely delicious and fit within my dietary needs. She made sure that our table was well attended, and that we were all taken care of promptly and with great attention. Every one in our group was extremely happy with their food, but the service was outstanding.
Enjoyable as always. One of our go-to places if we want a great meal, outstanding service and friendly atmosphere.
