P.J. Clarke's-Lincoln Square
The lobster Cobb salad is fantastic!! Love going to P.J. Clarke’s before going to Lincoln Center.
Convenient place when going to the events in the Lincoln Center area.
Definitely not a destination place
Great food, fast service, nice environment! Recommended.
I had been to P.J. Clarke's-Lincoln Square in January for the first time when I went to a Lincoln Center event; and it was so fantastic the I made a reservation there again for my February 16, 2020 Lincoln Center event. The chicken caesar salad was outstanding. The service was lovely, attentive to what made a pleasant lunch experience: prompt, pleasant, professional, very accommodating. It is such a great happening spot for Sunday brunch/lunch; and located perfectly for matinees at Lincoln Center.
Best location and enjoyable brunch before the ballet
While the food at P.J. Clark’s was fine (we ordered oysters, a cheeseburger & a BLT Egg) the other patrons were awful! They seemingly were completely unaware of how their behavior was affecting those around them (and we were there with a toddler) & the staff did absolutely nothing to assist. Additionally the cost of the meal was atrocious- $3 for club soda that comes from a dispenser? With no booze our bill with tip was over $100 for lunch. If you ask me, carbonated water, 2 sandwiches (w/ no sides) & 6 raw oysters should NOT cost $100! As an UWSer I won’t be coming back, I’ll leave for tourists to think they are at a ‘neighborhood joint’.
This is my go to restaurant in Lincoln Center! The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Our waiter, Paul, was pleasant and accommodating. He answered our questions and gave great suggestions. We'll be back
The food was very average. I've had a better burger at Five Guys. Location was great for pre-opera bite to eat, but there are other restaurants on that street that I like better.
We were seated immediately. Service was great. We had the brunch menu, which had options for all 6 of us.
Dinner before Lincoln Center performance. Reservation provided seating immediately. Not rushed. Enjoyed the meal. Good service. Server very pleasant to talk to.
The food was excellent. We loved that the menu is so extensive, and had something for every taste and palate.
Consistently good dining experience near Lincoln Center. Convenient, service is exceptional as we had a great waiter who was very nice and attentive. Nice size table accommodated 8 of us comfortably. Classic P.J. Clarke’s experience that met expectations.
We had a really good time and our waiter was very kind.
Too noisy !! Also prices are high for what you are served
Everyone was nice, but we were there twice over the weekend and each time something from our order was forgotten. Otherwise, highly recommend the burger and bloody mary!
Host and hostesses were arrogant when there were plenty of available seats and we had reservations. Why do you need a flotilla of hosts/hostesses when one lady is controlling the iPad?
Perhaps an off day but felt really unwelcome and once seated our server never came to the table after 10 minutes.
This was a revisit as our initial experience was good last month, but likely not returning again.
We waited an hour for our food, which was then served cold. It had clearly been sitting in the kitchen waiting to be served. They offered no apologies, just kept telling us it's coming.
Service overall was an F
Fast seating with OT reservation - noisy in a festive way- fast service - great food.
We arrived at PJ Clarke’s ready for our 12:30 reservation a bit early. They were already very crowded and training some new staff. It turned out to be a Brunch menu which was wonderful. Our wait person was super as was the food we ate - and it was delivered quickly. They were bursting at the seams but handled things really well. We like going there and do often - usually before Lincoln Center concerts. We’re never disappointed!
On the plus side: extremely close to Lincoln Center
Demerit 1: bland food and when a Caesar Salad is $25 you should probably just leave
Demerit 2: your waiter deports himself like a displaced Human Resources staffer
Demerit 3: this restaurant has great history...the downstairs used to be the Iridium Jazz Club and the final scene of “Annie Hall” was filmed upstairs...why no effort is expended at all on making this space the home of pleasant experiences?
Good value for basic lunchtime fare. My salmon on salad well-prepared. My husband’s fish in his fish and chips expertly fried. Conveniently located across from Lincoln Center.
First time there and was pleasantly impressed. The atmosphere, service and food were all top notch. I ordered a passionate cosmopolitan and fell in love! I will definitely be back!
Great location for Lincoln Center events, good service, really mediocre food, and overpriced.
Place was great but my hamburger was under cooked.
The food was bland. I mean NO flavor. And completely overpriced for what we got. Even my kids didn’t like their food. The only tasty thing on the table? The French fries. The server disappeared after she took our order - we weren’t in a rush but when it was time to go, she was nowhere in sight and we had to ask another server to wrap our food and provide us our bill.
We had brunch before the Matinee and it was great. Service was attentive but not overly so. Food delicious just what we needed before the Opera.
Service was great. Enjoyed having London as our server.
The chicken was inedible and the fish taco was dry and tasteless.
Always a classic. Great place to meet friends and run into people you know. Drinks are made to perfection and bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable.
Very convenient after our show. Staff very nice. Mini burgers were great, BBQ ribs kind of burnt on one end. Flavor was good though. Had a great time!
Jumping and fun on a weekend night, but way too loud. Good food and service. Excellent tracking of reservation.
It was a special occasion (also noted in the reservation) - and the choice of seating and service were incredibly disappointing
Pre opera lunch with friends.
Wonderful food great atmosphere.
My salmon was overcooked and had no seasoning on it at all. The service was a bit slow but we had time to spare. Overall I was disappointed.
Seated immediately by a very friendly Maitre D. However, he neglected to confirm the we honored our Open Table reservation; thanks to OT this was corrected. I had the burger and my partner had the arugula salad. Though my burger was cooked perfectly it was warm not hot; you must pay extra for fries. Liked the ambience.
As we decided the food was just meh, I cancelled our reservation for the following Wednesday which was going to round out an evening with the opera Wozzeck. Will go someplace where the food is better.
I don't prefer loud raucous bars but food is good and location superb.
Loved the oyster assortment. Burgers are okay by Manhattan standards but not more. Nice ambience.
