P.J. Clarke's-Lincoln Square
The brunch has gone downhill. All the eggs were cold. How hard is it to make and deliver a hot fried egg BLT sandwich or a warm omelette?
Janelle was a fabulous waiter. We had a delicious brunch sitting in the open doors. Food was delightful, as were the cocktails.
Crowded, service slow, food mediocre at best, overpriced
We enjoy going there during the ballet season for dinner. We all wish that they would bring back some of the old sandwiches on the menu. I enjoyed their pot roast and meatloaf. Alas no more. They have a great assortment of oysters and people are knowledgeable.
Huge grilled shrimp in the Caesar salad, really good fish tacos, and the arugula salad was good, but could have used more goat cheese. Attentive staff, although it was a busy lunchtime, pre-matinee hour. We would go again...good solid food and value.
The hostess was very nice. But to waiter was not very pleasant. The food was very good and large portion sizes. I would go back if i was in the area.
Fried calamari, Buffalo chicken wings, and wedge salad appetizers were quite good. I had the plain lobster roll with butter on the side and was quite happy with how fresh it was. Two in our party had the Cadillac burger and LOVED their meal. It was particularly nice that the onions were put on the side and not directly on the burger. The fourth person on our party thoroughly enjoyed the fish tacos. The chocolate mousse cake was large enough to serve 4. Don’t try to finish one on your own! Because it was a beautiful evenings, the doors were open to the outside so there was a feeling of being outside. Every aspect of our evening - from food to service to atmosphere - was wonderful.
Love PJ Clarkes. May have been because we were a larger group but the service was a little slower than usual.
Limited menu on Saturday for lunch. Chicken bacon club sandwich was terrible. Boiled chicken that was shredded had no taste.
Second time here while visiting NYC. Solid place and value! Maybe a few items on menu could stand for refresh but still worth going. Good location.
Very reliable and best value in the Lincoln Center area. Our server was charming, and she had us out in plenty of time for our 7:00 o'clock curtain call.
We had delicious lobster rolls that had a generous serving of lobster meat. I don't know if this a seasonal offering or is offered year round, but I would definitely order this again.
Casual dining at its best. Great food and service and the well known and loved ambiance of P. J. Clark's. Can get a little noisy, especially with people at the bar. Great location if you are going to Lincoln Center and a less expensive alternative to restaurants in Lincoln Center. Less crowded on Mondays.
The chicken pot pie and the salmon salad were mediocre at best; in fact we couldn't even finish them because they were just not very good.
Way overpriced - I should have looked at the menu before making a reservation, which I made due to the convenient location
Chad, our waiter, was the best!!! Food was delicious! We sat at a table right Along the glass doors. It was a beautiful day so the doors were open. Can’t wait to go back!
Great location and the food was tasty! We enjoyed our time here.
Love this place.. the Mac and cheese has peas and bacon bits ..it's soo good
It must have been something about the Sunday brunch crowd, but lots of food and liquids were dropped, spilled and splattered. Our waiter dropped my French fries; of course he brought a fresh order. At the table next to us, items were dropped, solids and liquids, so spills and mess all over. The wait staff was quick to clean up, but there seemed to be more than usual "food accidents".
The menu always has good choices, and Sunday was no different. The size of my iced coffee, however, left something to be desired. Could have been bigger.
It was often hard to hear over the music that was playing.
For some unknown reason, the service was slower than the last time I was there.
Problem was that their computer system went down and they could not process my charge for the meal. They wanted me to wait, but I had a show to attend and could not. Remarkable that they do not have a back up system for just such situations. Instead I had to pay cash, which was not what I intended.
Excellent food and service. Ordered the Clark burger with side brussel sprouts and a Moscow mule. Everything this was wonderful. Service is efficient and friendly with a casual atmosphere overall. Was the perfect dinner before heading to the ballet.
My husband and I had a great meal with excellent and I mean excellent customer service. One waiter told us that he would be our server for the evening and that was fine. We needed to place our order and another server came to take our order. I was confused and wanted to be loyal to our original server and I was told that they all work as a team. To me that was just a wonderful response and we went ahead and ordered and had a beautiful evening. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. A great place to enjoy.
We had a blast celebrating a graduation at PJ Clark's. Yes, a bit pricy, but worth it in the end. Pedro was our waiter and he handled our group of 11 like a master! The food is awesome and the atmosphere is all celebration. We'll be back, for sure.
Always a great place to eat before the shows. Burgers still top notch as is the vibrant scene and beautiful people.
They were very nice and solicitous of my 90+ mother-in-law. Much appreciated
To me it was an average quick bite restaurant. Nothing outstanding to recommend to friends
long Time to get served. Crab cakes were OK fish tacos were pretty dry. Salad was good
Service was bad. Had to keep asking for things they forgot.
I made a reservation through Open Table and checked off Birthday - our banana cream pie came - no candle. I had the expensive lobster salad. It was beyond tasteless. If I wasn’t looking at the lobster, I’d think I was eating an elastic band and must have been frozen. The bacon was cooked too much. The bleu cheese must have been put through a strainer to make it the size of sand. Three thin slices of avocado. I ate 2%. My two cousins ordered the chicken pot pie - they said it was totally tasteless.
Service was less than attentive considering that the restaurant was starting to thin out. Dining time 6:40p to 7:40p. Had reservation for 6:30p.
Service marked down due to slowness in drink orders arriving.
Prices were a bit high
Great meal and service.
I was seated quickly after arriving at the time of my reservation. The atmosphere was pleasant and engaging. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. I ordered the slow-cooked baby back ribs. They were somewhat difficult to cut, but once you got past the end piece it was easier to chew and the seasoning was outstanding. I would not let that deter me from a return visit.
Well aside from the fact that my guest and I were seated in the darkest corner of the restaurant, and the steak I ordered as medium-rare was served rare and cold, and the ice tea I ordered never arrived we had a perfectly mediocre time.
Joseph served us and he was awesome. We felt welcomed and enjoyed our brunch. Keep up the good service!
Wonderful experience. Waiter and staff was very nice and prompt. Able to suggest good food option. All the drinks were delicious and made perfect.
We arrived at our reservation time. We were shown to a table with the sun beating down and against a pillar. Now this was at a time plenty of “good” tables were available. When we asked to have our table changed, we were asked if we wanted to sit downstairs. It was an acceptable option. That said, we could have been offered a better table upstairs. The food and service were very good to excellent. Food prices are appropriate for the area.
This venue is great for its location, right across from Lincoln Center. It is often quite busy and may necessitate a wait, even with reservations. Even so, our family had a good time celebrating my nephew's college graduation and our overburdened waitress did as well as she could with our large party. The food was good and we would go there again.
Took over 30m to get our food and the server didn’t even seem to think that was an issue. Plus it was so expensive for bar food.
There pre theater. Pretty crowded, but had made a reservation. The hostesses were not too friendly and looked like they would have rather been somewhere else. Had asked for a quiet table on the reservation and they put us right across from the bar at 5:30. Had the chicken club. Not what I expected. The chicken was ground and mashed somewhat and sandwich was stacked high. Added sea salt fries which were cold. Ordered an Old Fashioned which was small and turned out to be really overpriced even for NYC. My date had the seafood tacos which were okay, but nothing special. Our server must have gone into Witness Protection, because we hardly saw her. She was pleasant, but not engaged. Really enjoyed Clarke's on the Eastside, when I worked in City, but this location was riding on its name.
