P.J. Clarke's at the Curtis
We could talk for hours about our history, our star-studded cast of diners, blah blah blah. But, for now, that's beside the point. Grab yourself a stool at the bar and order a cold one.
Come in once, we'll know your name.
Twice, we'll know your order.
Three times, and you're family.

Service extremely slow. Food took forever. Salmon was really good. The calamari was not crispy enough at all.
The hostess/evening manager, Alexandra , was very accommodating about my seating request. She honored my wishes & was so warm & welcoming.
I look forward to returning for another meal soon.
Thanks for the kind review! We can't wait to welcome you back :)
Ambiance and location are great. Food was only OK. For main entrees in the $20's and $30's I expected something a little bit better. The small plate ordered though was excellent.
Service was also just OK, but could have easily been ranked 5/5 if not for one reason. The 3 stars is mostly because of what happened at the end of the night. The restaurant was closing up service and the check got dropped while we were still finishing our main course. It was a little jarring because there were still tables seated, actively eating, and we hadn't requested the check. In fact, one party still had their main courses coming out of the kitchen. I would have understood more the "hurry up" tactic here if it was later or we were a lingering table. Took away from what would have been overall a more positive dining experience.
Probably will try this restaurant again, but not on the top of list for a repeat visit.
What a great way to ring in the new year! Staff was so attentive - we stayed for 3 hours. It was fabulous!
Service was great, limited menu, nice atmosphere. Overall good experience
Extreeeeemely overpriced but we’ll come back.
Our service this Christmas Eve evening was extraordinary. We were seated in a private room surrounded by stained glass & marble full of old world charm for a small family gathering. Pj Clarks made it an evening to remember.
We ate here the night of an important Eagles game against Washington. The score was 10-3 Washington. Our attentive waiter came to ask if we needed anything. The four of us, as one, said, "Yes a touchdown." The waiter looked at the screen, said an incantation, and 15 seconds later, the Eagles had a touchdown, made the one-point kick and tied the game. That's service. And the food was excellent.
$300 for dinner for 4. For burger and fish and chips. Charging $2 for 4 extra pieces of sourdough croutons for dip is unnecessary. Expensive for what we got. Service was good though but overall, very overpriced.
Good food, great service food came at good speed. Will go again
EXTREMELY LOUD. could not hear the people sitting next to me, let alone the waiter. Loud obnoxious music.
My wife and I never made it to the reservation, well not true, I did she did not. There was a parade on Chestnut St that made it impossible to get there. It was complete gridlock. Zero movement.
I got out of our truck on Arch to walk my son and his 5 friends to a nearby restaurant, (celebrating his birthday) they were 30 min late. I then proceeded to walk to PJ Clarke's arriving at 5:45 (our reservation time) I sat at the bar while talking to my wife who was trying to get there. We tried navigating many routes.
Long story short she never arrived. Parade ended. It is now 7 ish. I told her to just meet me at the other restaurant where my son was. She drove around for well over 1 1/2 hrs.
A possible solution to this issue would have been to send out reminder emails to those who have reservations that traffic would be heavy allow plenty of time. Also, they had no other vodka but Tito's.
I am not completely disappointed with this establishment, actually quite the contrary. I have been there for brunch, fantastic.
I will return as I believe their reputation is worthy, it was just not a fun evening....
Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and service was lovely, too. Thank you PJ’s … we’ll be back!
No vegan or vegetarian options although online menu said their were. Ordered three sides. French fries were cold. Potato/fennel side had no fennel and potatoes were raw. The Brussels sprouts with tomato jam came plain no jam. Our waiter was nice but frustrating dinner
I don’t say all this about too many places
Lovely day eating outside on balcony. Food excellent. Experience all good.
My major issue is how expensive this restaurant is
The wine is the cheapest item on the menu
Salads 29$ plus
This is excessive
Kudos to the hostess, manager and our server. They went out of their way to accomodate our request for special seating due to hearing issues for one of our party. They could not have been more pleasant or helpful and have certainly won our loyalty. This establishment has undergone steady improvement since first opening and is now one of our "go to" spots.
Delicious brunch and drinks
Although a bit touristy, PJ Clarke's is a fine place to eat, especially if you stick to what made them famous -- things like the burgers. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service was good. The prices, though, are on the high side. $22 for a burger and fries is really pushing it. Oh, and avoid the parking lot in the Curtis Building, which is where PJ Clarke's is housed. Their pricing is both exorbitant and misleading.
Great food, service and atmosphere, although a bit loud as we were seated in the bar during a game. Prices were very high.
We were very pleased. Of course, the prices are high, and we can’t always afford to dine like that, but it’s worth it from time to time.
A group of 6 of us had something to discuss and met at PJ Clarke’s. We sat outside in a private space and enjoyed happy hour. PJ Clarke’s staff was exceptionally accommodating. Everything was great, service, food and drinks all excellent! Thank you!
Great service! Menu was nicely varied and great portions but so-so in taste.
Great happy hour! We shared appetizers (mini burgers, cheesesteak egg rolls) and the food was delicious! Beers were also great. Service was awesome too- friendly bartender, Dan. Lots of large TVs to watch sports. We’ll definitely be back soon
The menu keeps changing with most of it being improvements
However it would be nice to have a simple chicken breast on menu as well as a turkey burger
Because of menu improvements we have been dining at restaurant more often
The restaurant is getting pricey
Entree salads are 29 to 35 dollars
My kids & I love it here!
Great location, helpful staff, friendly bartenders made our dining experience one that we will return too.
They got rid of my favorite menu items since the pandemic. It’s an average place to have a quick bite.
Table wasn’t ready despite reservation. Very slow service
Another Really great meal here. We started with happy hour (ends kind of early at 6, but great deals), then we stayed for more. Delicious food and beer. Awesome TVs, large, clean restrooms. The staff is the best part(Bartenders, Dan and Beth) and the manager, Chris were very friendly. Great neighborhood spot!
We love coming here! Food is always consistent, service is great. Happy hour specials are so good especially for oysters . Favorites are cheesesteak egg rolls, oysters, lobster rolls, lobster Cobb salad, burgers. Never had a bad meal!
The food was good, but we had my Grand daughter with us and they had a children's menu, her grilled cheese was good but was adult size and not what she was expecting. More adult tasting. Why husband had Fish & Chips., They were delicious and I wish I would had ordered it.
Service was good and the meal came quickly.
Great service. Food was okay but not worth price. Needs more seasoning. Sent drink back. Tasted like soda. No liquor. Spent $700 for 6 ppl. Don’t feel like it was worth it but waiter was amazing.
service was great. Food was good, the outside eating area was nice inside was little too loud.
Overall a very pleasant dinner would definitely go again.
I always enjoy eating here. Especially outdoor. Very scenic. So do my children. The hosts are always polite and accommodating, and our waiter was very nice!
We ate outside with our dog who loved it. Beautiful venue. Very good service.
Very good finger food.
I met a friend here for lunch. Food, service were both great.
