Pizzetta in Old Koloa Town Ratings and Reviews
Love coming here... For date nights or any night. Every meal has to have the mushroom truffled mac and cheese. The gnocchi is a great appetizer also. We like to sit out on the small back lanai, but anywhere we have a good time. The service is always very good! Especially with our server Jerell.
We visited your place twice in our five day stay to Kauai. That should say something!
The first day we just stopped in for a quick lunch. $4.00 for a large slice of pizza was a steal! We loved the garlic buttery crust. Then we came for dinner on our last night in Kauai. We ordered the Mac and cheese and lasagne and a brownie dessert. Again, quality food, generous portions , a relaxing atmosphere and a great crew that served us. A +
Not really great, just okay. They have some "different" ways of making things. Their Egg Plant Parmesan comes with a "four cheese cream sauce" (should be marinara) and a choice of pasta or mashed potatoes. Who has mashed potatoes with Egg Plant Parmesan? Even their Pesto Pasta comes with a Pesto "cream" sauce. I had a veggie Calzone which wasn't too bad. On the plus side, the staff was really friendly. This was my birthday dinner and they gave me a complementary dessert. Also, we received a Kama'aina discount bill.
Wife and I ordered 16" pizza half vegetarian and half BBQ Chicken and both were extremely good! Our server Kim and her helper were amazing. Our glasses never were less than half full and everything was done with a smile. The delicious warm brownie sundae was the best way to finish it off!
Food was average. The pizza lacked flavor and the dipping sauce for the mozzarella sticks was soupy. The Caesar salad was good. We liked the outdoor sitting, but unfortunately it is close to an outdoor bathroom which sends a really awful smell every few minutes.... ugh.
A local's place and in an area where food costs can be rather higher, this is true value-for-money. But, naturally, if it wasn't good, doesn't matter what it costs. That the food is very good, portions are generous and it's reasonable (relatively speaking), makes it a "must-go" each visit. Always try something new, always love it there. This time it was a calzone. Yum
We came here for our first dinner on our honeymoon. Ambience of the restaurant is nice, has the outdoor feel, but is inside (which is good since it was raining!). Got the mozzarella sticks appetizer, which was amazing, not like your typical mozzarella sticks at home. We got a pasta dish and a chicken dish which were both good. Service was pretty prompt and friendly. All around good experience.
