Annual Spring Vacation family dinner
AMAZING pizza. Tried the meatballs this time and they were delicious. All the ingredients are so fresh and the crust on that pizza 👌🏼
We requested outdoor seating however our table was against the valet stand and we had people standing over our table waiting for their cars which was very unpleasant and considering COVID danger not very safe. The manager however moved us indoors which was better however considering the noise level in their main restaurant, we did not enjoy our dinner as we usually do
It has been ages since I went to Mozza. It seems every time I try to book a reservation, I can never get in at a reasonable time. But this time I was in luck. Both the date and time were available. Some of my favorite items were still on the menu with some new additions. They have the best burrata and cherry tomatoes. They side of bread is so delicious along with it! The meatballs are another thing I love. Wonderfully flavorful and melt in your mouth. And the pizzas are the best. My favorite is the sausage and fennel pizza. It’s what I crave when I go. Can’t wait to go back!
Haven’t been there for years and it was as good as I remember. Everything was amazing except for not meeting Nancy :)
Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing crust.
Excellent wait staff/servers. Pizza was delicious. Problem was we had a reservation outside and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated (overbooked?). Outdoor seating on sidewalk by loud, busy street not ideal. Loved the food and the accommodating wait staff.
My very favorite!! All 3 of them
If I had to live on an island with only one food for the rest of my life - it would be Pizzeria Mozza's Bianca Pizza with fennel sausage added. My family would pick the same. And to have caprese, the bread, chopped salad and Budino just made the meal 10 times better! We drive from Hermosa Beach (and have since La Brea Bakery and Campenile was a thing) just to enjoy this amazing food. The crowning moment (of the whole weekend) was meeting Nancy Silverton! When she was willing to say hi to me and my friends that were visiting from Minnesota - who read/watch everything about Nancy and adore her, we could not have been happier! Thank you for a great food, and wonderful waitstaff, and AND Nancy taking the time to greet us! Perfection!
Hadn’t been in years and was hoping it was as amazing as it had been in the past. We were seated in a dark and dingy “wine cellar” where the noise and music from the restaurant next door was pretty loud. The server forgot to put the pizza order in so while everyone else around was eating we waited. The food was outstanding but I don’t think I’ll return until they renovate and bring it back to its glory days. The bathroom (unisex) was the worst part and definitely needs a face lift.
The food and service were both excellent! We love the little wine room.
Still one of my favorite restaurants in LA! It was a wonderful meal.
My experience with Mozza? To summarize, Indifferent. Manager did not care that it was my mothers Bday. Did not care that online it said I would be able to order from all 3 menus and that I had told my family all about it, getting their hopes up. The Manager showed no interest in correcting the error in communication caused by them. Showed no interest in righting their wrong. Showed no interest in helping me celebrate my mothers 65th Bday. The Manager was Apathetic in my disapointment for their service. More than serving food, they serve happineds thru their food. All I got served was disapointment, anger, and frustration. I thank you for that.
Great experience as always. Only thing wasn’t 100 % was that the goat cheese lentil app was on the cold side & overall a bit drab. Everything else was superb!
Favorite restaurant in all of LA; I don't want to have dinner anywhere else!
Service was ok
Not so much fan of this place anymore
Mozza is our favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. I have never had a bad meal there.
What a pleasure it was to dine at Mozza. The outdoor space was lovely, off the street. Food, wine and service was exceptional. We will be back!
Honestly, I could not have asked for more. Everything as impeccable, the food, delicious, the outdoor vibe, the service, the drinks... it was all outstanding.
This place is wonderful! Too bad the busy intersection and crazy drivers make the location quite noisy
It was very difficult getting the busy waiter's attention despite my location to the main entrance. There were a lot of emergency vehicles driving through that intersection near the restaurant at that hour so it was quite noisy, but that's not restaurant's fault. You should sell rolls, not just olive oil-soaked garlic bread! Loved the bolognese and the portion size.
This was a very modern and unique take on Italian food. Everything we had was amazing. I would highly recommend the oxtail pasta and the pizza with fried capers.
Good food and service, but the seating outside on the street corner (covid times) with the traffic and horns, left more to be desired. Can’t wait to return to indoor eating and see what that ambiance is like.
Well, a heating lamp caught on fire, they brought everything to our table at once , a waiter put an entree ontop of a paper menu!
Nothing awful, we expected more! Food was alright, not great!
Everything about our experience at Mozza was excellent, even during Covid and eating outdoors. Really nice. Delicious food.
Love both osteria mozza and pizzeria mozza, and though they’re comfortably set up for outside, looking forward to both opening indoors again.
Took my wife for her birthday and it was outstanding
Everything was really nice, considering we are in the middle of a pandemic. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and give a solid two thumbs up!
Our server was good, however one thing our guests weren’t thrilled with was that they felt there were a lot of “unfortunately, no, sorry” scenarios. Examples include ordering an appetizer while one of our guests was running late, unable to accommodate a heat lamp when we needed to be relocated due to table turn/time limit exceeded, unable to provide bread when our guest was starving. Overall we were happy but would’ve been nice to know (most of) these things at time of making our reservation. Wil of course continue to come back!
We had a horrible experience here. The menu wasn’t in English, and our waiter wouldn’t translate the items so we looked them up on Google ourselves. We ordered drinks and were trying to decide our food when the waiter approached again and said we have 90 minutes from the time we sat to eat and we have to leave. I told him I made the reservation so I was aware of the time frame and I felt rushed and like I was not welcomed. I also told him if our food came out and the 90 minutes was almost up I hope they would be professional enough to let us finish our meal. (We had only been there for about 15 minutes at the time.) He just looked at me with a smirk and continued to try and explain why he was rushing us. I then told him I would be taking my business elsewhere and I’d like the check. He said, “Ok, do you want to talk to a manager?” So I agreed. When the manager, Shawn, came over he did not introduce himself or inquire about the issue. Instead he began to apologize about not being able to accommodate us. He wasn’t there to hear my experience as a customer and I feel like we were discriminated against. I didn’t hear Shawn, our waiter, or anyone else mention the dining time to any table around us. The sad part is I wanted to try this spot for years and when I finally manifested my wish I realized this was a place with terrible customer service. I do not recommend this spot. We left and went down the street to Sal’s and it was the best decision we could’ve made bc Sal’s food was delicious and Sal even made my cousin and I a special dish on the house. If you’re looking for good Italian food in the area, go to Sal’s on Melrose.
Been wanting to try this for over a decade. I was expecting to be disappointed since the "pizza oven - thin crust" style has really taken off and now it's not quite as unique as it was when Mozza opened. However, I was blown away by the quality and flavor of the pizzas. The ingredients were just incredibly unique and delicious. We also enjoyed appetizers and pasta. We want to go back right away! Eating on Melrose wasn't perfect, but wasn't too bad. The patio is the way to go and we will try to get a table there next time. However, it's awesome the way you make a reservation and know exactly where you will eat. Also, the service was excellent.
Food and service was great! I’m in covid paranoid and I felt pretty safe.
Awesome food, cute atmosphere, and very kind service!
A beautiful place, lovely ambience in the patio. Service was great. Just make sure you order the right thing. I ordered the chicken pot pie (don't do that at an Italian restaurant!) and it was disappointing. I'm sure I would have been much happier with the pizza. But that's on m e.
Great service and food as always but the valet is terrible and acts
like you are on their sidewalk if you dont pay. Always a great experience.
The food was absolutely incredible and the service was even better!
The food and the staff are amazing. It is always a great experience. Highly recommend!!!
The servers were fantastic!
Incredible meal and terrific service. The way they converted their outdoor area actually makes you feel like you're in Italy. Our server, Kaitlin, was phenomenal. Attentive, friendly and sincere. We will definitely be back. Great experience!
I'm not sure why I am not getting my dining point on OpenTable despite making reservation through here and showing up to eat there on time.
