The food was great like always, we sat by the bar this time and our waiter/bartender messed up our bill at the end even though we told him twice how to separate the bill ! My friend was supposed to pay 2/3 of the bill and I pay 1/3, but the bartender charged 2/3 on my card AND put my card with 1/3 bill’s receipt! So I didn’t notice the error the second day!
Awesome. Truly special.
I can’t believe the hype about this restaurant!! Very disappointing!!
Bone Marrow & bread = oily oily!! dripping oil down the bread and all over my hands into my plate. I thought I was eating oil.
Mortadella pizza= very dry and tasteless! But the crust was okay.
$16 for a low grade wine.
$14.00 for valet parking.
Our server was very sweet & attentive.
Spent $100.00 and it wasn’t worth it. Overall I’d pass on this restaurant.
Awesome as usual. Always our go to place when in LA.
AMAZING PIZZA AND FOOD, ALWAYS GREAT, GREAT SERVICE AND EXCELLENT FOOD CHOICES, PERFECT
I went to Pizzaria Mozza while visiting my daughter. We had the Caprese Salad with bread. The salad was more of a dip as the cheese was soft with the tomatoes, pesto and basil leaves on it. It was delicious and the bread was fantastic. We had a fennel sausage pizza with was cooked in a real brick oven and was delicious. We splurged and got the Butterscotch Budino (pudding) which was salted and had little chips of butterscotch on top. It was worth the calories. Delicious. The only negative thing was that it was crowded and loud. We were seated in the middle of the room and that may have added to that. But the food was all delicious.
Lively, but intimate, restaurant with fresh food, good wines and great service.
The lasagna was very good. The Carmel coppetta was awesome!
We really enjoyed our pizza and thought the food was delicious. It's a pretty small service room in a seemingly growing area of LA. Note that Mozza has 3 different restaurant/take out spots in the same building. We weren't overly impressed with the service for the price we were paying. The bar was lively, but the rest of the restaurant was relatively cozy. We'd return just for the food!
Best Pizza in LA
Great as always!
Nancy Silverton is a genius, and her way with pizza dough is nothing short of incredible. Best pizza in LA....phenomenal salads (Nancy's Chopped is a new classic). And great wines al quartino!
This has been our go to place after big events. Great meeting place near Dolby Theater. Even on busy nights, staff has been friendly and they have worked with us on our somewhat ambiguous numbers. Our table tends to gather people who drop by. All fun. Food is delicious and original.
Probably not as awesome as when it first opened. The crust is not quite as good as the old days. The toppings have been altered a bit on some of my favorites (no more pollen). But still a great pizza with a great crust. The appetizers are good (when served warm, which can be a problem) as are the salads and the other rotating entrees.
Delicious food. Great service A must try for pizza!
Awesome food. Tiny place so make reservations for sure! 💓
The food was amazing! The carrots...!!!!!!
The BREAD was everything!
I will return to try more of the other dishes!
We had a memorable evening.
Pizzas are amazing!!
The food is so good, I’ve loved everything we’ve ordered on our visits. The pizza is magical and desserts are highlights of the meal-which is important to me! I love it.
One of the best places we ate in Los Angeles. We wanted the Chef's Table experience and this totally provided it. The pizza was one of the most delicious I've ever had and Nancy's dedication to the perfect crust comes through. Go hungry though, because the Chop Salad is huge and the Butterscotch Budino must not be passed up.
I was visiting a friend and we wanted pizza. It was amazing experience and the food was very tasty.
amazing food!!!! 5 star, my favorite pizzeria, cant say enough, the best
Sauce on the pizza is not great. Cauliflower is good. Cant' hear the person next to you. Little too loud
Food was great! Had a great time.
Still the best pizza in this country. Fennel Sausage pizza is legendary. Nancy has created perfection.
They stuck us in a corner and seemed to forget about us.
We brought friends who had never been to the restaurant before and we were very disappointed with the table we seated at--it was almost directly next to the other table on one side and the kitchen staff kept bumping into one of our guests on the other side. Too many people crammed in and very mediocre food. Used to be one of our favorites but can't see going back any time soon.
Delicious as always. Never lets us down. The pizza, the salads, the specials, the staff, the WINE all an A+
Always an excellent meal at Mozza. Excellent service, everything was perfect.
Pizzeria Mozza is always a wonderful experience from our seating area (in the hidden nook where the wine is kept) to the amazing and helpful host and wait staff, and of course the fine cuisine. Enjoyable meal from beginning to end. Thank you.
Best pizza in LA - the black truffle pizza is worth the price, and other menu items didn't disappoint - recommended!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. This last time, we took my dad and step mom for their first visit. It was Presidents' Day and we expected it to be busy and it was. They thoroughly enjoyed it. I have to say, though, that the service this time wasn't up to par. The waiter was nice enough, but though I was ready to order and able to rattle it all off to him at once, he never checked on us. The food expeditors brought out the food and the bus people took away empty plates. The waiter didn't come back until it was time to see if we wanted dessert...and of course to leave the check.
Was seated immediately for our reservation, waiter was to the point and she came back frequently, and the food was AMAZING. Only "complaint" I would have is that it is very loud inside when the room is full, so don't go in expecting to have a quiet conversation with whomever you go with. BUT, I felt like the noise level added to the overall great atmosphere of the place!
Great drinks, food, and atmosphere! Can't wait to come back!
Pizza was great!
The food is phenomenal, the service compliments the culinary excellence produced by the pizza magicians that work there. We've been there three times and each time they have executed consistently and deliciously. We had sat at the bar twice and it's pretty nice to see the employees handle the pizza dough with such care and love. It most definitely shows in the finished product. My wife and I absolutely LOVE this place. We make the drive from 45-50 min away to have a date here... that's how awesome it is
Waitress was not friendly-seating very close to others eating-pizza was very saucy-salad excellent-squash blossoms superb and dessert divine....for price and special occasion-ambience did not feel very special.....
Server was extremely rude and impatient. Salad had far too much radicchio in it. Will not return
After all these years, still the best pizza in LA. The meats, cheeses, and of course the bread are beyond great. Nancy Silverton never disappoints with amazing food and wine. It makes it nearly impossible to eat Italian food anywhere else.
I normally love Pizzeria Mozza. This is one of the first restaurants with quality I had ever been to and this past experience left me upset. The host was not welcoming. I had made an 11:00pm reso and tried via Open Table to change it, but OT was glitching and said I was unable to. Again, I tried to change to an even earlier time and the same error message came up. I called to double check my time and the host said it was 10:30 so we arrived at 10:30 even though OT still had m my reso saying 11:00pm. The host said my table was given up because I tried changing it and he refused to look at my phone showing I have a reservation currently booked and still awaiting. We sat at the pizza counter and it was great..the food is always amazing per usual. This never seems to lack.
Our server didn’t ask how we were, never checked on us and we constantly watered our own glasses to eventually run out and need to ask because no one was checking up on us. I will always go back to Mozza but I was very sad about my last experience. Please be more welcoming. I come from South Los Angeles just to come eat here and all I want is a warm welcome (regardless of the situation).
