It’s a fun restaurant. Very busy and noisy. We had one pizza, chopped salad and brisket. Two of us shared all three. The salad was enough for 4 people and I liked the light dressing. The margarita pizza with prosciutto was ok. The tomato paste didn’t taste much different than other sauces, nothing special. The brisket came with two pieces. There was a lot of fat and not too much meat but the taste was delicious .
The servers and staff are so nice and make you feel welcomed which is a rarity in these kinds of places.
May go back but not like I can’t wait. It’s a very “ in” restaurant and has been that way for many years
Wish they would bring back the goat cheese pizza. It was unique CBD our favorite. Do this and if tank food 5 star!
Food was great; had the chopped salad and meatball pizza and both were very good. The room is pretty small, there were a few flys around my table and the noise level was high. Also you’re forced to valet park for $12+tip
Pizzeria Mozza never disappoints. Never had a bad meal or bad service. The menu is limited but everything is delicious with their heavenly pizzas topping the list.
This has always been one of our favorite restaurants. Pizza is usually amazing and food is overall great.
Food was very good and service a bit slow. Still quite enjoyable. We had the caprese salad and a meatball pizza.
Although I arrived a few minutes before my friend, I was seated and offered drinks. We ordered the chopped salad- delicious- and the squash blossom and burratta pizza — as wonderful as everyone says! We stayed over two hours and were not rushed. I was so pleasantly surprised by the friendly service at this top notch restaurant. I plan to lunch there more often!
The food and the vibe of the restaurant is always great. Some may find it a bit noisy, but I always find it energizing.
We'll be back, for sure.
Pizza crust was great just like the Coal Oven Pizza I would have in NYC at Arturo's on West Houston Street, but the taste was mediocre and EXCEPTIONALLY OVER PRICED. My favorite part of the meal was the corn on the cob, which was EXCEPTIONAL.
Pizza crust is great. The rest of the food was bland, the flavors were missing, execution and delivery were okay. Mozza Pizzeria is not anymore what it was. Service is super slow.
We have been coming here for many years - in fact we celebrate many of our birthdays here, but the last two visits the food (other than the pizzas) has become very-very salty. The Lasagna was not only super salty, but the top was burnt. They had covered it with a mountain of shredded cheese to hide it. Pretty upsetting since it's $25 item.
The pizzas are still outstanding. It's shame - we always felt everything are delicious and now seems to be going down hill.
Maybe it was an off night for the chef but everything was excessively salted. I will say the brisket was on pointe. Service was excellent and the noise level is high.
Pizzeria Mozza was so delicious. We were fortunate to get a last minute reservation to celebrate our anniversary and enjoyed the white bean bruschetta, a salad, and the mushroom pizza. The highlight was the butterscotch dessert!
The server we had at the pizza bar was fantastic - knew everything about the menu and had recommendations. We got to watch them make the delicious pies while we waited. The server got me to drink a Rose wine which is not my jam but totally was perfect for what we got. I'm definitely going back to try as many pies as possible and with someone who can tackle the butterscotch budino desert. It was pretty but not completely empty but felt super open and even when we weren't the only two at the pizza bar, felt like we had a great view with our own private space, not on top of any other person or party. And that crust. I tipped extra for the drool cleanup.
Love the food
Capers se very good
Garlic bread was good
Was there for one night and choose to eat there and there only
The pizzetta was the star of the show. Can’t wait to return.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. a few weeks back my friend wanted to treat me, so we booked the table. We were sat in the worst seat in the house, a corner table with no room to move. Whenever you have to move a table all the way to an aisle to allow someone access...this shouldn't even be an available seat! It went downhill from there. The server acted like he couldn't be bothered with making recommendations for the evening, and was annoyed that we asked questions about the wine. I have been in the service business for years and I was being extremely patient, kind and sympathetic to him being busy, but felt like I could feel his energy thinking I was being a nuisance...we should have just got up and left then...but I was excited for the squash blossoms and pizza we were going to order....remember when I said we should have gotten up and left. Meal was horrible, which I've never had a horrible meal there, ever! And I've always had great service...not this night. The service was annoyed and rude. We were assigned another server as I guess ours went on break...but we were never told, this woman just showed up...We also felt like they were trying to "turn and burn the table, we couldn't even sit and enjoy the wine they pretty much brought us the dessert options and we weren't having it..they brought us the check....this is where I wanted to get in someones face. My friend was using an Irish bankcard and when the "guest" server went to run the card it was declined...she went back to run it again and my friend was trying to explain to her that it's probably because she needed to enter a pin code, the server said "well I don't know it's not working" and basically threw the card back in my friends face. So I threw here my card. Honestly I've never had such horrible service nor food and I loved this restaurant. I'd love to be able to give them another chance as well as change my ratings, but I'm torn! And just tell ppl bread is extra for caprese!
We started with a wonderful chopped salad. Than we had a great pizza with meatballs and burrata. The food was delicious.
We’ve been here murmurous times and was surprised to be seated in the Jack Warner Room. It was a pleasant change since we were meeting up with a couple of friend who we haven’t seen in a while.
We ordered: (2) squash blossoms, tricolore salad, lasagna (it was a Sunday), Fresno Chile pizza, Prosciutto pizza, Summer cobbler, Chocolate gelati, Strawberry gelato pie, coffee and tea. The lasagna was larger than I remember, but who’s complaining?
Our waiter was extremely patient and helpful, as we were extremely hungry and wanted everything!! 😅 If you haven’t been, have a go. This restaurant is one of the most consistent places I’ve ever been to in LA. Their menu is seasonal so check back to see special items such as truffles.
So happy to hear we are consistently excellent for you. The Jack Warner Room is a great spot to catch up with old friends! We'll see you soon.
We had a yummy and fun dinner here before our Groundlings show. Though it was noisy and crowded, we did not mind, given that the food was fabulousness. We were glad that we made a reservation. The restaurant was chock full early on a Saturday evening......
We had an early dinner reservation at 4:30pm. We were late due to traffic and we called to let them know that. We ended up being 20 minutes late, but come on! It’s LA! Traffic happens! ...and we weren’t eating at “prime time” anyways! I would’ve expected them to be a little more accommodating, especially for a repeat customer who called and kept them informed of the situation.
Instead we had to sit at the bar...with 2 kids.
Despite that...the food was good...it always is!
Too bad they FORGOT the chopped salad that we ordered! Would’ve been nice to have some greens along with all that pizza and charcuterie.
Not our best experience here. But we’ll still come back at some point for the food...always for the food!
Thanks for your feedback. We do try to be as accommodating as we can in the face of LA traffic. We live here and we get it! But we also have to balance that with our obligation to later diners. I am sorry it affected your seating arrangement on your last visit. and we appreciate your flexibility. After all that to not get your salad is incredibly frustrating. I'm happy to hear you will be back. We look forward to your next 5 star visit!
Having seen the episode about Mozza on Chef's Table, I was excited to get a reservation. However, on Friday night the restaurant was excessively loud and crowded. Thankfully, we got a table in the quieter room, but it was still very noisy and hectic. Additionally, the manner of our server was not at all personable (I watched him with other tables, where he was no better). Other staff crammed new dishes onto the table and swept dishes away without a word, giving the experience a rushed nature. I assumed this would be an opportunity to linger and savor exceptional flavors. The hectic atmosphere and terse staff made the experience average, at best.
We ordered way too much food and it was all wonderful. The roasted cauliflower appetizer, the caprese and chop salads and the BLT pizza were exceptional!
It's great to see a great restaurant evolve. Some places just get stuck in the past, but Pizzeria Mozza keeps changing up menu items, while keeping the good service and high quality food. I liked the expanded menu options, there were more choices for the wide variety of eaters at the table. Wine list is consistently good, and the quartino offering is perfect for one or two people. It was also nice the waiter knew everything about the menu, down the last detail of each dish and some ingredients that weren't familar.
Seated at a back corner table in the back room. Opposite a table of 8 young exuberant women. Very loud, difficult to make conversation until they left. Lots of Glas, tile floor, wine bottles and metal so nothing to absorb noise.
The food is absolutely amazing. Prosciutto and melon with bread and mozzarella, squash blossoms, and pizza was stunning and an adventure for my taste buds. Only two minor sent backs. When making the reservations I was asked if it was a special occasion. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. Even with gift in hand, only the host and a busser acknowledged it. The other thing was that we both felt a little rushed. The last time we were, we enjoyed a good solid hour and a half+ with apps, pizza and a bottle of wine. This time it was under an hour. It almost felt like we were pressured to order right away. Given, when we do come, it is normally on a weekday and with no reservation. So I understand the need to turn over a table on a weekend. We will be back but this time we will stick to only dining on weekdays. And thank you to the amazing Bartenders at Osteria Mozza for the fantastic after dinner drinks and the relaxed atmosphere.
We had a pizza and salad to share. Big portions for the salad. Super fresh ingredients and all locally sourced. Would definitely return!
The pizza was extraordinary. The crust was amazing and the flavors were divine. The Tricolore Salad was way too salty for my taste and the garlic bread was dripping with so much olive oil it was overwhelming. The roasted corn with chile butter was to die for----worth the thousands of calories!
Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely return for the pizza alone. The three of us ordered 3 pizzas and I had enough leftover for dinner the next night which made the $135 check not seem too shocking.
Amazing food and service. They might want to consider a interior refresh, but other than that excellent!
Awful service, average food
Amazing service and food. More than reasonable pricing for the ambiance of the restaurant. Truly an experience to be had.
Great food and 5 star customer service.
The food is terrible
Nice but very basic and very pricey
For food I would say yes but we were rushed on the service end. My friend had only finished half her meal and they were urging her to box it up. When she asked for more time they brought dessert menus. When we asked for more time again they came back within minutes and asked what we wanted again for dessert. They yanked plates right as we were finished. And the thing is we were only there all totaled for maybe an hour and fifteen minutes.
Thank you for a great birthday. Nancy’s Chopped Salad is a must and the pizzas were so good. Also, the desserts were out of this world.
Amazing pizza. Love the Bianca pizza with fried sage and the tricolore salad. The butterscotch budino is amazing.
Best pizza in LA—crust is crisp and delicious. The place is a quite noisy making I ntimate conversation difficult.
We went to Pizzeria Mozza for birthday celebrations. Everything was wonderful from the freshly made salads to the pizzas, specially we enjoyed the squash blossom pizza. Our waitress was wonderful. The only problem for me is how tight the seating was. We could practically hear the conversation next to us. However we’ll definitely go back
