After all these years, still the best pizza in LA. The meats, cheeses,and of course the bread are beyond great. Nancy Silverton never disappoints with amazing food and wine. It makes it nearly impossible to eat Italian food anywhere else.
I normally love Pizzeria Mozza. This is one of the first restaurants with quality I had ever been to and this past experience left me upset. The host was not welcoming. I had made an 11:00pm reso and tried via Open Table to change it, but OT was glitching and said I was unable to. Again, I tried to change to an even earlier time and the same error message came up. I called to double check my time and the host said it was 10:30 so we arrived at 10:30 even though OT still had m my reso saying 11:00pm. The host said my table was given up because I tried changing it and he refused to look at my phone showing I have a reservation currently booked and still awaiting. We sat at the pizza counter and it was great..the food is always amazing per usual. This never seems to lack.
Our server didn’t ask how we were, never checked on us and we constantly watered our own glasses to eventually run out and need to ask because no one was checking up on us. I will always go back to Mozza but I was very sad about my last experience. Please be more welcoming. I come from South Los Angeles just to come eat here and all I want is a warm welcome (regardless of the situation).
Usuallly love coming here but everything was unusually SO salty that we could barely eat any of it. We got the meatballs and Nancy’s salad which we normally love but they were unbearably salty this time.
We always love Mozza. Impeccable service, great food, wonderful wine list. We do wish it also had liquor so we could have a cocktail, but that is a minor quibble.

We went to celebrate my dad’s birthday - the restaurant was extremely loud, & our first server was rather dismissive. However, once the first waiter went on break, a second waiter came and service improved. The food was awesome and the dessert was next level amazing — best gelato I’ve had outside of Italy.
I've been here several times and was fortunate to sit in the private area in the back for dinner. That was great... However this time the main dining area was not impressive. It tends to get a bit loud and its more suited for a casual date in a pizzeria. Not a lot of gluten free options either, a bit disappointed with that. Be aware, they will not seat you if your entire party has not arrived and valet parking is $14 plus tip.
Pizza was awesome, but appetizers wasn’t that great. And it is a little bit expensive. Overall, the dinner was very pleasant. Recommend it!

Mozza is arguably the best pizza in LA. It’s always crammed, a little too loud, but the pizza is worth it
My husband and I live in Colorado, but usually travel to LA a couple of times a year. Going to Pizzeria Mozza is ALWAYS on our MUST-DO list when in LA. We have been doing the paleo lifestyle for almost of year and in that time have had no grains at all, which means no pizza! We decided that Mozza would be worth the "cheat"! And OH, were we right! We always have the simple pizza with orgnaic tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella with fresh basil. Like a symphony in your mouth! The clean, fresh flavor...so pure...so delicious!! OH MY! I literally savored each bite!!! We also love the meatballs!! And, this time I got the cookbook (which they had Nancy Silverton autograph for me, as she was "in the house"!!) The service is exceptional, the wine is perfect and the food is JUST THE BEST!!!
I love this place but this time we had 5 different servers. At 5 on a Sunday. They couldn’t wait to take an empty plate or finish our sentences when ordering. When I do order I need a couple of minutes looking at the menu. The server seated us and asked us what cocktails we wanted before even checking out the menu. The restaurant was half empty so not sure what the rush was. Also sitting against the back wall, your napkin gets blown off by the AC
Wow- The years have been unkind. Over-hyped, over-priced, noisy, packed like a subway car and snobby waitstaff. Food is good, but it’s good throughout Los Angeles.
It was so splendid. Pizza is perfect and the other dishes was also fine. Not so formal,not so casual.
Various wine could be served by a glass.

We were very late as my daughter locked the keys in the car....about an hour or so we lost our table even though I called twice to warn of our “lateness”....also having put a credit card down as a deposit.Host offered places at the bar instead!Which was a good resolution....
First off, valet parking at 14 $ per vehicle is a little on the high side, maybe? I could justify if there was no wait for drop-off or pick up, unfortunately not the case on a Weds evening. Several customers waiting post dinner appeared agitated and weren’t accepting without speaking their opinion. So bad impression on both ends.
We were a party of two, reserved a cpl days out, and then confirmed that afternoon. Not a prob, except that no less than 5 calls required to get a live reservation asst in order to confirm. Several empty tables when we were seated, while we ate and when we left ...
We ordered moderately, a cpl salads, a cpl glasses of wine and two individual pizzas. The fennel sausage pizza was excellent, the second...egg, potato, bacon not so much - the egg was a little too runny / undercooked for either of us. Have dined here several times in the past, this was by far, a disappointment. I’m sure we’ll give it another shot down the road, but thinking twice right now.
One word all around: Excellent! Pizza is as good as it gets even for a native Italian.
Ever since watching the owner’s story on the netflix documentary “Chef’s Table”, my husband and I have been obsessed with Pizzaria mozza. While it’s definitely overpriced, we keep coming back because the food is just THAT good.
