Hubby took me out on a lunch date before baby #2 comes. This is one of our fave places so we wanted to celebrate before all the craziness of having a newborn would take up our schedule. Booking a reservation was easy, our table was ready as soon as we checked in and food plus service was great!
I've been here many times over the years, and it never disappoints. Service is warm, efficient, seamless. Food quality is always top notch - personal favorites are the caprese, squash blossoms, and the butterscotch budino. Can't ever go wrong going here.
Best pies in LA; maybe anywhere. We go here every time we are in the LA area.
Everything was great. We had apps, different pizzas, and dessert.
The margherita pizza with organic tomatoes made the visit worth it. I would go back for that. Making a reservation is a must, but I was disappointed with the ambiance. It is loud and energetic, with voices echoing off the ceiling and walls, but what made it more distracting is the loud rock music blaring over everything.
My other complaint has more to do with the behavior of other clients. A family of 6 was seated directly next to us, and the two kids were playing youtube videos on the cell phones at full volume. Believe it or not, the sound from the phones was not covered up by the blaring music and became a huge distraction. Since the quiet ones (us) try not to disturb others, we didn't ask a server to talk to them, but since a table nearby was available we asked to move over. (This was allowed.) Just because everyone uses smart phones everywhere doesn't mean a restaurant shouldn't try to uphold a basic level of courtesy for all diners and ask them to turn off the sound on phones. Please do this for the consideration of the silent majority.
Amazing atmosphere and pizza!
It's a very pleasant place, and the food was fine. I'm not sure that it lived up to the hype, but it was good enough. However I liked the atmosphere and the service, and it's close by. I'll go again. Maybe try some other dish(es) and see.
Always wonderful. Love the food. One of the most amazing restaurants in la. If u love pizza u can’t not go to mozza.
Best pizza we ever had.
I have eaten here quite often and was surprised on this occasion by the abrupt service by the waitstaff who cleared the plates between courses. It made me feel like they were trying to rush us through our meal in order to turn over the table. The end result is that I felt rushed and unwelcome. Most of all, I was annoyed so this was not a pleasant experience.
The consistency of their pizzas blows me away every time i visit this place. The best sausage pizza in town.
Fantastic food! Great sommelier! Wonderful service. Super noisy but we were up for it! Everyone seemed to be having a great time!
We’ve been coming here for years this location and the one in Newport. Since moving to LA 2 years ago we haven’t been, so we decided to go for our anniversary this year. At first our table situation was challenging, but it ended up ok. The food was fantastic and the service was awesome. Our sever was great - I wish I got his name but he was a former New Yorker like us! Highly recommend!
Fantastic food. Mozza never disappoints.
It was 10:40pm. Lighting was super bright. Music was terribly intense radio hits. Felt more like lunch at a diner.
The best pizza in California! Everything on the menu is perfectly conceptualized and executed. Incredibly interesting flavor combinations. The primavera pizza and shaved carrot salad were delicious.!!
I always enjoy the pizza, but the tables are very close together and impersonal. It feels crowded and really ruins any privacy that you hope to have with a date. And forget about hearing anything, its pretty loud in that small space. Food is great, but overall, I was not impressed with the ambience/experience. I would recommend Mozza to go, in all honesty.
delicious and wonderful meal
This place is overhyped. The food is okay but it’s overpriced and restaurant is loud so it’s hard to have a conversation without screaming. I would choose places like Jon and vinnys or osteria la bucca over this if you want Italian for sure.
I highly recommend ordering the Osso Buco appetizer. It's one of the best version sin LA of this dish--comes with garlic cloves marinated in olive oil plus some fines herbes and a couple of sedges of toasted sourdough. It's tasty and filling and worth the relatively high price for an appetizer. I also tried the lemon gelato pie for the first time. It was divine--not too lemony and it still managed to have a light feel on the tongue.
Amazing place!!! They know by your first name basis + glad that you came everytime you walk-in!!! Thank you everyone:)
Good food, good servers, loud music, rude hosts, expensive valet, olive oil ice cream was delicious..
Fresh ingredients and local products. The squash blooms appetizer was unique and excellent!
The crust on the pizza is cooked perfectly! This restaurant never disappoints! Book ahead...
Amazing food. Very expensive but worth it. Extremely loud space- need noise panels so you don’t have to yell.
Nancy's chopped, salad, her pizza crust, the lively scene, all are spot-on!
Our waiter, Damen, was amazing. He was very patient with the first time patrons who asked plenty of questions and his suggestions were all perfect.
We make a point to eat here whenever we visit LA. The food is authentic Italian, with daily specials and some unique choices always available. The service is consistently professional. Some diners may find the seating a bit tight at busy times but we have always enjoyed our meals here. Our recommendation is to always share an appetizer or two, as well as a pizza - even if you are ordering an entree.
The appetisers were all amazing however the pizzas were average at best. Drowned in onion, garlic and scallion. So much scallion!!
Consistently delicious with excellent service.
Mozza is the BEST - have been going since day one! Incredible food, superlative waitstaff!
Another outstanding meal at Pizzeria Mozza. This place is fantastic. We try to stop every time we are in the area. Fantastic caprese salad with an incredible burrata cheese....the best. And, a light, tasty, and fulfilling pizza. Couple that with a couple of glasses of Sangiovese and presto...a most wonderful Saturday afternoon. Grazie.
I really do not understand why they do partial seating. Since I was a little early, I could have sit and enjoyed a drink or some food. Instead, I had to wait outside. It seems unnecessary and irritating to me.
Best pizza in town
Flawless. There’s a lot to explore on the menu. Our server was prompt and attentive without being intrusive, well paced flow through the courses. The food from the marrow to the cannoli delish.
Well I finally made it here after many years of wanting to, thinking of making a reservation when it was too late, etc. I'm looking forward to trying Osteria next. My friend and I split a salad and a pizza and appetizer. All three were terrific and "not your everyday" things. I'll be back.
Our family favorite - great choices for all to share, nice wine list, desserts. Great service
Have been going to Mozza Pizzaria for a few years now and it seems to be even more busy. The food is amazing, but make sure you have a reservation!
