Very good food - bland service. Not to be considered a "must" while in LA.
Our group had a mixed experience at Pizzeria Mozza. First, I should point out the cancellation policy - if you cancel within 24 hours you get charged minimum $20pp (but was also told $40pp...), oh but don't worry the restaurant will still fill your table and take a nice fee from you as well. We explained that part of our party was ill and we just wanted to cancel - well apparently the "best they could do" is move our reservation to another evening; apparently making a reservation enters you into a binding contract for dinner...idk but have had great success over the years with restaurants of a much higher caliber waiving fees for last minute cancellations because they understand life happens.
Now for the food (and honestly previous paragraph aside this is as unbiased as possible). The food was quite good, for appetizers we tried the calamari, cauliflower, and some charcuterie. Everything was perfectly prepared but a few of us commented that it was quite salty. Portions were ok for sharing for four our five, six people may have been a stretch but that's not on Mozza.
Pizzas were unique, cooked well, and were quite tasty. There is a lot of hype around the crust and designs some absolutely deserved, but we remain unconvinced that this should be a "destination" restaurant for pizza lovers.
Deserts were a little overpriced for the portion, but of the two we tried (and shared) they were absolutely delicious.
Service. Well service was not great to be honest. We felt that we were an unwelcome presence by the wait staff who were just very cold. There was little about the service that made us feel like we were welcome and our business was appreciated. Towards the end of the evening it was abundantly clear that the staff wanted us to leave so they could close and their actions were borderline rude. Our group felt rushed through dinner. Maybe worth a try, but wouldn't go out of my way to visit.
Went with friends and ate indoors. Everything was lovely. The food (chefs kiss), our waiter, the ambiance, and the hostess! Will absolutely be back! Will absolutely recommend to friends, family and acquaintances
so great - the service, the pizza, the amazing wine selection - just wonderful!!!
We will be going back
Just the best pizza around. And the wine cellar dining room is very cool.
Always a fun time
Pizzeria Mozza had the best pizza I’ve ever eaten! I was with a table of 4 and we got appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts and weren’t disappointed with a single thing. I particularly loved the Margherita pizza and the meatball appetizer. We really liked the local options for beer on tap. The food was very reasonably priced for the quality. Definitely worth the stop!
Excellent quality and service. Can't wait to return!
So great to be back in Mozza. Outstanding food and service.
Great pizzas but the price is quite high for the size of the pies
Loved it. Can’t wait to go back. Great food and excellent service.
Best pizza in LA hands down. Service was great, excellent wine list. We will be back!
Fabulous! The food is so good and so are the people who took care of us!
Favorite pizza place in LA! My favorite are the meatballs, tricolore salad, zucchini blossom burrata pizza, and olive oil gelato. Great wine selection 💯
First time at Mozza and my friend and I had an amazing experience. Service was phenomenal. The food and wine were delicious. Our host, Joben was very knowledgeable, sweet and funny. Will return again soon.
Excellent service, our waiter was wonderful! And the wine steward really listened to what we were looking for. The host was friendly and welcoming. Plus the food is delicious!
Best pizza. Best servers. So safe 🙏🏻
As always, Mozza is great. Fun, casual atmosphere with amazing food.
Fun place ... good food. Waiter was animated and helpful. Ambience was happy and comfortable
Food was great and service friendly
Quality of food is consistent
It all starts with great service from the staff and then a little time to study the menu. Great food experience in LA.
My favorite restaurant ever!!! Love everything about it!
Always delicious! Our server Luis was so sweet, helpful, and not pushy, plus he had great recommendations! Although they’ve made the outside seating area very cute, basically sitting in the valet lane on highland is very loud and crazy, so much horn honking :(
The staff was so accommodating, and the food was absolutely delicious. The crust really is spectacular.
Wow! The most amazing pizza's I have ever experienced. My view on what I like in pizza is forever changed. I am known for the pizzas I make in my backyard wood-fired oven, but now realize I have new goals. The Mozza crust is astonishingly good and very different from how I previously described what a pizza crust should be. The different combinations of toppings are well balanced and incredibly delicious. I will never travel to LA again without a reservation at Pizzeria Mozza. Thank you for an unbelievable experience!!
We are outside so the cars honking...took away from the ambiance but the food, service, and libations made fir a wonderful experience
A great experience. BEST NEOPOLITAN PIZZA IN LOS ANGELES!!
We had a wonderful meal and evening at Pizzaria Mozzarella. The food was delicious and it was great to eat inside. We had several dishes which were served in a relaxing sequence. Great evening
Greeter was indifferent I told her there was a birthday and she basically ignored me but usually you expect a special dessert we didn’t get anything Food is in my opinion over priced particularly the drinks menu silly prices for house wines way too expensive for the level of food and service. Appetizer portions were tiny and over salted.
Great food, professional & friendly service
The food is always consistently great at Mozza (pizzas, budino). The outdoor dining is certainly made us feel like we were almost in Italy (minus the Valvoline) but we really appreciate that it was even an option during the pandemic! I hope that Mozza keeps outdoor seating open for the long term/ permanent.
So great to be back!! And eat some of our favorite dishes.
The food was excellent the service was very good with the waiter and wait staff very attentive. It is difficult to find any faults with our meal and Mozza. I would recommend the appetizers a must. Thank you.
Not the best outside. Traffic on Beverly Dr. and Highland very noisy
Amazing service and the food never disappoints!!!!!
What a treat! We had dinner with our son here. The toasted bread and caprese started it off with a bang. Then we had the calamari, which was outstanding, followed by two pizzas. We needed up taking food home. Every single thing we ate was amazing, and we had a wonderful bottle
Of reasonably priced wine. We were still
Talking about the meal today. Well done!
delicious as always. the staff is so friendly and fun to watch make the pies. very covid-safe. you will leave full and happy.
Out for a date with my wife on a Saturday evening. The food was excellent and staff were very friendly and eager to assist.
The food was excellent. The pizzas are some of the best Neapolitan style pizzas I’ve had in the city (similar to Roberta’s in Culver). The roasted Melanzane/aubergine with lebneh was a surprise winner on the night.
Ambience wise we had street seating which meant it was a little louder with traffic and a little bit of foot traffic but that’s to be expected with outdoor dining.
It’s a little on the pricer/upmarket side if you’re going all out (starter, main, a few drinks) so more of special occasion meal than casual dining but definitely worth it. Would recommend.
We were sat near the entrance for waiters otherwise the atmosphere was excellent.
Waiter forgot wine.
The outdoor seating on Highland is polluted and very loud. The service was wonderful but recommend indoor seating
