Meatballs, wine selection, and salame pizzas are favorites. And the butterscotch budino will change your life.
nice casual vibe but food was not amazing for the price we paid for. 3 small appetizers, 2 shared pizzas, 2 wines for $160. service was average. the host was not accommodating, we had reservation but lost it coz my friend had car trouble all the way from san diego. so we were seated at the bar while waiting. for r late friend. host said he will try to seat us when r friend comes. told him it was special occasion so we want a table. friend came but host was too lazy to get us a table even if other tables were open. snotty & not accommodating. not returning.
Very poor service. Arbitrary rules, such as not allowed to sit next to each other and Management was not helpful at all.
Nice place and good food. The brisket is delicious. I like their wings because they’re grilled and obviously the pizza is very good.
Birthday dinner for a friend. Friendly service, excellent food served quickly. Love this place!
Comida excelente. Pizza maravillosa, de buenos sabores, la corteza muy crujiente (como siempre). Me encanta siempre ir a pizzeria mozza.
Another fabulous evening in what felt like a local Tuscan trattoria
Really good pizzas. We also had prosciutto with bread, mozzarella and melon, it was excellent. The service was perfect.
Pizzeria Mozza has been spectacular ever since they opened. Their food is exceptional and their service outstanding. We go there for so many occasions and just to have a casual, fun time with all we love.
The food was delicious! Service was awesome! Luis was so attentive and made perfect recommendations. We had a beautiful birthday lunch for my mother.
The service was horrible... the waitress took our order and brought us our dessert menu. That was the only interaction we h hv ad with her. The runners would just show up and drop our food off at the table while my daughter and I were having a conversation. The manager never stoped by to touch our table and the hostess guy was dressed like he was ordering domino’s pizza at home watching TV. There were flies in the window.. like 10 “, which nobody seemed to do anything about.”
always AMAZING ....the zucchini squash blossoms are just......beyond words
Amazing. Lunch in the wine cellar
A great place to casually hang out with friend, every dish we ordered were perfect. Can’t wait to come back.
I used to frequent pizzeria and osteria. Been a little while now but I was excited to take someone there for their first time. I was truly disappointed.
Restaurant/tables/decor all look and feel aged but not in a good way. Tables very cramped together. Almost every time we needed something whether it was to order more food or a napkin, we had to wait and wait and flag someone down.
Biggest let down was the food. Uninspired and bland as if they have just given up and a conveyor belt was cranking out the usual. The menu was also lacking intelligent variety. It is with sadness that I have to say, for this price and the reputation this used to have, Pizzeria Mozza has become a real let down. Hopefully someone steps up and breathes fresh air into this stale establishment and food. Nancy? You there?
Much too noisy. Need to put in sound reducing panels
Amazing as always. Everything is always yummy and service is great.
The pizza was delicious, but the portions are not huge and the prices are incredibly high for salads/appetizers. The desserts here are also incredible.. but a tiny dessert is $14. I recommend trying this place if you never have, but would not make it a regular spot personally.
We took our neighbors out to dinner. Two of us had the pizzas and two the brisket. The food was absolutely delicious though I thought the pizzas were tad pricey... same price as the brisket. On the other hand the salad that we thought two would split turned out to be large enough for four! Simple and tasty. Excellent service as always.
The pizza crust is phenomenal. Everything on the plate taste incredibly fresh! Definitely coming back soon
It’s a fun restaurant. Very busy and noisy. We had one pizza, chopped salad and brisket. Two of us shared all three. The salad was enough for 4 people and I liked the light dressing. The margarita pizza with prosciutto was ok. The tomato paste didn’t taste much different than other sauces, nothing special. The brisket came with two pieces. There was a lot of fat and not too much meat but the taste was delicious .
The servers and staff are so nice and make you feel welcomed which is a rarity in these kinds of places.
May go back but not like I can’t wait. It’s a very “ in” restaurant and has been that way for many years
Wish they would bring back the goat cheese pizza. It was unique CBD our favorite. Do this and if tank food 5 star!
Food was great; had the chopped salad and meatball pizza and both were very good. The room is pretty small, there were a few flys around my table and the noise level was high. Also you’re forced to valet park for $12+tip
Pizzeria Mozza never disappoints. Never had a bad meal or bad service. The menu is limited but everything is delicious with their heavenly pizzas topping the list.
This has always been one of our favorite restaurants. Pizza is usually amazing and food is overall great.
Food was very good and service a bit slow. Still quite enjoyable. We had the caprese salad and a meatball pizza.
The pizza crust wasn’t like it used to be.
Although I arrived a few minutes before my friend, I was seated and offered drinks. We ordered the chopped salad- delicious- and the squash blossom and burratta pizza — as wonderful as everyone says! We stayed over two hours and were not rushed. I was so pleasantly surprised by the friendly service at this top notch restaurant. I plan to lunch there more often!
The food and the vibe of the restaurant is always great. Some may find it a bit noisy, but I always find it energizing.
We'll be back, for sure.
Pizza crust was great just like the Coal Oven Pizza I would have in NYC at Arturo's on West Houston Street, but the taste was mediocre and EXCEPTIONALLY OVER PRICED. My favorite part of the meal was the corn on the cob, which was EXCEPTIONAL.
Pizza crust is great. The rest of the food was bland, the flavors were missing, execution and delivery were okay. Mozza Pizzeria is not anymore what it was. Service is super slow.
We have been coming here for many years - in fact we celebrate many of our birthdays here, but the last two visits the food (other than the pizzas) has become very-very salty. The Lasagna was not only super salty, but the top was burnt. They had covered it with a mountain of shredded cheese to hide it. Pretty upsetting since it's $25 item.
The pizzas are still outstanding. It's shame - we always felt everything are delicious and now seems to be going down hill.
This is an essential LA restaurant. Every dish is great. Recommend the Nancy’s Chopped, and the squash blossom pizza.
Maybe it was an off night for the chef but everything was excessively salted. I will say the brisket was on pointe. Service was excellent and the noise level is high.
Pizzeria Mozza was so delicious. We were fortunate to get a last minute reservation to celebrate our anniversary and enjoyed the white bean bruschetta, a salad, and the mushroom pizza. The highlight was the butterscotch dessert!
The server we had at the pizza bar was fantastic - knew everything about the menu and had recommendations. We got to watch them make the delicious pies while we waited. The server got me to drink a Rose wine which is not my jam but totally was perfect for what we got. I'm definitely going back to try as many pies as possible and with someone who can tackle the butterscotch budino desert. It was pretty but not completely empty but felt super open and even when we weren't the only two at the pizza bar, felt like we had a great view with our own private space, not on top of any other person or party. And that crust. I tipped extra for the drool cleanup.
Love the food
Capers se very good
Garlic bread was good
Was there for one night and choose to eat there and there only
The pizzetta was the star of the show. Can’t wait to return.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. a few weeks back my friend wanted to treat me, so we booked the table. We were sat in the worst seat in the house, a corner table with no room to move. Whenever you have to move a table all the way to an aisle to allow someone access...this shouldn't even be an available seat! It went downhill from there. The server acted like he couldn't be bothered with making recommendations for the evening, and was annoyed that we asked questions about the wine. I have been in the service business for years and I was being extremely patient, kind and sympathetic to him being busy, but felt like I could feel his energy thinking I was being a nuisance...we should have just got up and left then...but I was excited for the squash blossoms and pizza we were going to order....remember when I said we should have gotten up and left. Meal was horrible, which I've never had a horrible meal there, ever! And I've always had great service...not this night. The service was annoyed and rude. We were assigned another server as I guess ours went on break...but we were never told, this woman just showed up...We also felt like they were trying to "turn and burn the table, we couldn't even sit and enjoy the wine they pretty much brought us the dessert options and we weren't having it..they brought us the check....this is where I wanted to get in someones face. My friend was using an Irish bankcard and when the "guest" server went to run the card it was declined...she went back to run it again and my friend was trying to explain to her that it's probably because she needed to enter a pin code, the server said "well I don't know it's not working" and basically threw the card back in my friends face. So I threw here my card. Honestly I've never had such horrible service nor food and I loved this restaurant. I'd love to be able to give them another chance as well as change my ratings, but I'm torn! And just tell ppl bread is extra for caprese!
