   I am regular customer for malaterra but this time I was disappointed. In the previous dinings, they never charged cover but this time they thought we are tourists and they charged me 7.5 euros for 5 people. Actually I am not a tourist and I live in Rome

   Our experience at Malaterra was amazing! We had Nicole as our server, and she was great! She not only served us very well but she also made an effort to communicate with us is Spanish, and that was a huge plus for us! The food was great, and I fell for the dessert! Great experience overall and greatly recommended!

   La comida excelente, fácilmente las mejores pizzas que comimos en Roma. El ruido del restaurante era muy alto, había mesas muy juntas y aunado a la música era difícil llevar una conversación. El servicio del gerente al llegar fue muy bueno pero el mesero que nos tocó, fue pésimo. Nos atendía de mala gana, todo muy rápido sin ninguna intención. Pedi la carta de postres pasaron 15 minutos no la trajo, estaba en la mesa de a lado le pedí la cuenta. Y me empezó a gritar en Italiano desde la otra mesa que me esperara, y me hacía señas con la mano. Me pare para dirigirme a la entrada para pedir la cuenta yo, y se acercó a mi, me encaro me empezó a decir que le tenía que pagar la cuenta, que no me podía ir sin pagar. Yo solo quería pagar pero el señor extremadamente rudo e innecesario. Hablé con el gerente me ofrecieron 7 euros de descuento, no necesitaba un descuento. El tiempo que estuve en la caja para pagar el mesero se acercó a mi esposa a preguntarle cosas y luego se quedó a un paso de mi viéndome fijamente. Entiendo que en Italia la propina no es obligatoria, es una pena por qué entonces te enfrentas a esta clase de meseros que arruinan una excelente cocina con un pésimo servicio. Tal vez la próxima vez que vaya a Roma veré si está el mismo mesero antes de entrar.

   Nel complesso molto buono, a parte il fatto che ci hanno messo circa 15 min per farci accomodare al tavolo precedentemente prenotato.

   The best pasta I’ve ever had, and the pizza was incredible too! The first waiter was pretty poor, but the next we had was an absolute gem. Would highly recommend!

   Great place for simple food and great staff. They went out of their way to be helpful with our food choices and were so friendly. It was a very happy place to eat in.
