Pizzeria Libretto King
Libretto aims to be loyal to what real pizza is, invented in Naples, Italy using local ingredients, cooked in a wood fire oven at extremely high heat; to achieve a charred, blistered crust. We use San Marzano tomatoes and Fiore di latte mozzarella, brought in fresh daily. Our dough is made with naturally leavened Italian Caputo dopio zero flour. Our pizza bakes in less than 90 seconds in our 900° wood burning oven, hand built for us by a 3rd generation pizza oven maker in Naples. Simple, Honest and Natural. -Chef Rocco Agostino & Ma
Was overcharged for substituting vegan cheese in a salad. Should have been the substitute charge not the add charge. Never proper service at this location.
As a family restaurant they should offer some colouring items for small children. Please don’t close your gluten free oven. As parents with celiac kids this is the only facility in Toronto where we can have pizza as a family. Thank you
Food was good but the service was severely lacking and unfortunately ruined the experience.
Been here many times. Had a reservation but had to wait for the people to leave and table cleaned.
Great pizza as usual. The salads are amazing and the bread so good!!!
Amazing food- the best gluten-free pizza in Canada!!! Wonderful service :)
Forgot to take pictures. Sorry.
Great spot to grab a relaxing and delicious dinner.
Delicious pizza! I would highly recommend.
Terrific food. Service was a bit slow. Waiter was decent.
Were able to accommodate a 5 person last minute reservation. Dinner was great!
This is authentic Italian food at a very accessible price. The service by two young Italians was attentive and the simple wine selection all at $13 a glass was good. My pasta was perfectly al dente, meaning quite firm and my salad was simple and delicious. My only quibble was the fruit tart. 8 found the pasty overdone.
I was surprised at how bright and simple the room is. It’s not a typical trattoria but a really good little neighbourhood spot. I appreciated how the waiter recommended a sparkling red to pair with dessert. These guys know simple good food.
Staff were super friendly and the food was AMAZING! I had the ‘nduja pizza and my date had the gnocchi. We also had the arancini. Would recommend and would definitely come back!!
Had a great time
Thanks had a bawl
They did a great job , tended to my group promptly my. Not to mention they had the BEST arugula salad I’ve ever had !! Thanks so much libretto for once again the outstanding job and service !! Would highly recommend
Our service was very slow.
I needed to ask for my glass of wine 4 times before it was brought.
My beer was also taken off the bill because I had to ask several
Delicious food, and great atmosphere!
Great place for pizza with a casual atmosphere.
Great place to go for a great pizza and wine. Our server was excellent.
Amazing pizza. Dedicated gluten free oven and its delicious!
Great pizza, awesome crust, fast service, fair prices!
Food was excellent. Beer choice was lacking. Asked for Coors Light, not available even in the bottle. Just say’in
Heaven for a celiac. Wonderful wood fired pizza based in separate over. Gluten free beer. Staff very knowledgeable about Celiac disease.
I have celiac disease and this was the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had
The pizza was terrible. Despite being ordered extra crispy they were beyond soggy. The mushroom pizza was total mush. Service was good although they didn’t really respond to the complaint
It’s as simple as this. The nduja sausage pizza is the ultimate Neopolaton-style wheel in the city. Great sauce, great crust and just enough portions to make you wonder if you could take down a second pizza on a really hungry day.
Service was extremely slow and unapologetic for the inconvenience despite the restaurant being 3/4 full. Took nearly two hours for our party of two to get a glass of wine and a pizza each, making us very late for our event. Pizza was very good when we did finally get it.
Awesome staff. Food was amazing. Location was clean and tidy. 5/5 experience
Definitely a must try if you're looking for authentic pizza and Italian fare
I love coming to this place. The service and food is always great.
Okay atmosphere, and good service. But the food was "adequate." The pasta quality, despite the boast of being home-made, was nothing special, and it was over-sauced with a very unimpressive meat sauce. I didn't try the pizza, but those at the table who had it felt that just adequate was a good description. We went with guests in town, made the mistake of not eating there first ourselves, and ended up apologizing for the food. So, no, actually, we won't give it another try.
Unlike all the other locations this one was extremely loud, so loud that the waitress asked us to repeat all orders and we couldn’t carry a conversation. Service was also unusually chaotic: 10’ wait before being seated, more waiting before water arrived, appetizers arrived before drinks, bread forgotten, and pizza although tasty arrived cold and not at the same time. Wouldn’t recommend this location.
So great that they have a dedicated gluten free oven. Apparently the best gluten free pizza ever (says my friend with Celiac Disease).
Delicious pizza and great place to chat with your friends.
Food was amazing and service was great! Definitely will be returning!
As a parent, I always appreciate how welcoming they are at the King St. location. Not many places downtown are as an easy meal with kids as Pizzeria Libretto.
This is hands down the best pizza in Toronto. The ingredients are simple and fresh and don't overpower the pizza. The crust is amazingly chewy and stretchy like it's supposed to be. They've recently added pasta to their menu which I haven't tried yet but you can't go wrong with any of their appetizers, salads or desserts. I would highly recommend the kale salad with the Green goddess dressing. Lastly, the service has always been great and the staff have always gone out of their way to accommodate for special requests when possible. Love, love, love this place. Truly a gem of a place on King Street.
I always go there for dinner with my friend and sometimes with my extended family. We always get good service and we love the promotions. They had great affordable prices as well and good quality food! I love their pizza and salads
This was a very nice place to eat. It could be a nice option for many occasions.
