Fabulous dinner, service, and food. We love delfina!!
Limited menu, no kids options. Was ok but not raving about it.
Have been here several times. Food is great. Service excellent. Noise level from the music being played too loud and almost unbearable. Management needs to listen to their customers about this. There are 2 other pizza places just across the street.
Service was excellent. We ordered just enough food which always a good sign. It had been a few years since we’ve been back. Not sure if things changed slightly but the food was not how we remembered it to be.
Delfina never disappoints. Great food and great service
Best pizza in the bay are
Dining at Delfina Burlingame feels like eating at a well-catered outdoor picnic. It's always lively, people are in close proximity, and with the kitchen so visible and the wait staff always in attendance, you can see your food coming. The fare itself high-quality, artisanal and heavy on pizza as the medium. Not that there's anything wrong with that, as the variety of pies is what make this location unique. On this particular visit I opted for the Neopolitan meatballs while my companion had the Mezzemaniche. The meatballs were savory. moist and served promptly enough that even the last one was still warm. The tomato sauce is the thickness of a gravy with a nice textured feel on the tongue. my companion felt the horseradish that accompanied the dish was a bit tart, but left the plate empty so it wasn't disagreeable.
Two glasses of Hobo Zinfandel paired the meal perfectly. We opted for no dessert, but I've always enjoyed them in the past.
Wayyy too Moises! Food was not wonderful - wrong pizza was delivered. Taken back not great tasting - off night. Staff was nice
Hadn't been to Delfina in a while and wife and I were terribly disappointed with this visit. First of all, the music was God-awful. It was music for high school sophomores, and since it was lunchtime on a Friday, there were no high school sophomores in the restaurant. The music was loud, making conversation difficult since everyone in the restaurant had to talk loud. Wife ordered a salad. Plate was underwhelming with food. The salad was skimpy for $12. Way overpriced for what you received. Then the drinks. A glass of wine for $9 was not a generous pour like you received in other nearby restaurants. A glass of beer on draft for $6 was the smallest glass I have seen in a restaurant. The previous time we went, the place was full. This visit, there were empty tables. If they don't straighten out their act and give value, they will be closed in 2-3 years.
I simply love this place!
Great pizza. What more does one need
Pizzeria Delfina is a very good restaurant in Burlingame. The Pizza was excellent as was the fried chicken which they only have on Mondays.
Parking is not easy .
Service is good.
We had a pitcher of beer that was EXCELLENT.
All our food was delicious especially the tuna salad! We have eaten here several times and always have a wonderful meal. The staff was busy but always helpful and available when we needed them.
My negative reviews are purely based on the loud music which turned to hard rock as the evening progressed. After an hour we couldn’t take it any longer and asked them to turn it down. The staff did so right away which was much appreciated. We have been to other restaurants that refused to turn down the volume or had to ask their managers first. It made all the difference to enjoying the rest of our evening.
Came for lunch 2 people ordered salad one came out 5 minutes before the others the. We ordered 4 people pizzas and 1 was left off the order so they had to re fire it in oven so that person couldn’t eat till the rest of the table was done.
Awesome servince. The food is always good. The music... (Metal??) So not appropriate. I couldn't wait for us to finished eating we ended up skipping dessert.
I love dining at DelFina...however.... my dining partner was looking forward to the veg lasagne which I thought was a menu standard. This dish seems to have been discontinued and due to a dietary restriction we were unable to eat there.... bummer.
Ii do look forward to returning for Fried chicken monday or some other great dish..
Consistent with the one in San Francisco. Just wish that fried chicken Monday was everyday because it’s so delicious!
Excellent food and service
The Spicy Cauliflower and Broccolini Pizza were excellent. It's a little pricey, but good ingredients and good service. Not a place for intimate conversation. Too noisy.
Our server was very helpful in recommending dishes. We liked the chicken, bit spicy but very good. You can Copenhagen cafe on the run
I was disappointed that we arrived a few minutes before our friends.. we were told it was POLICY that we couldn’t b seated at the table..
We had to go to the bar and pay separately, rather than pay one bill..’
Not great customer service..
Not sure if we’ll return..
Food was delicious. Service was prompt and personable.
We had a small get together with good friends here and we had a great time. The service was good, the food was good, and we felt taken care of.
Always great service and beautiful food. One of my favorite spots in town.
Great place for pizza and a bottle of decent "Pizza wine" at a fair price. Excellent at what it attempts to be.
Meatballs were excellent! Butterscotch Budino was great for dessert
Love that the menu changes with the season and is always an new exciting, delicious adventure. Outstanding.
Don't miss the newest addition, a wonderful squash dish.
They were so great with our large group including a baby!
We were there for our anniversary and we went early enough (5pm) to enjoy a romantic evening.
Excellent food and amazing service. My family was all impressed with the food and service. Thank you!
I liked the place and the food. One thing I regret doing was to report one of the servers... I received a dirty plate that had dried cheese on it, so I asked one of the servers for another plate. He said sure, grabbed my plate and walked toward the kitchen/where the plates and such were (still in visible sight). I was paying attention to him because as he was walking away, I clearly saw him try to clean/ pick the cheese off the plate, he put the plate down, turned around, turn right back around, picked up the plate and handed it to me as if it were a new clean plate. I didn't want to make a scene, so I kept it. It was clearly the dirty plate I had before, remnants of the oil from the cheese that was stuck on there. (My mom who was sitting to my right had view of him walking away. She even said he had the audacity to keep looking in my direction to see if I bought it... if I didn't notice what he did). My brother ended up asking a different server for another plate, this time waiting for the server to give a new plate before handing him my dirty one. This time the plate was actually clean, and you can tell... it was still warm, fresh out of the dishwasher. I was really surprised that the young gentleman, the server, did that. By experiencing that, you can't help and think what else this guy does... how unsanitary. I wouldn't be surprised if other patrons got sick from going to this place.
If it weren't for that, I would go back. Our main server was awesome. The food was good. But that one server just messed it up for my family and I.
Thank you to every one on the staff, today. We had 5 rambunctious kids and every single staff member obliged child requests for endless breadsticks and 3 moms' requests for more wine. We might have left a crazy mess but we thank you from our whole being for accommodating us today. 💕💕
Best pizza around, but worst service . Very unfriendly hostess and very unprofessional service
Will never go in there again , but will do
Started with asparagus. I understand the quality of produce here but a couple more would have been more on par with the price points. Margherita, delicious as always. Eggplant parmigiana, delicious. Glass of red - made for a nice get together with my brother.
Tricolore salad and pizzas were spot on! Butterscotch budino was yummy. All around a satisfying meal.
Amazing service. Our server was over the top hospitable and incredibly accommodating. Very knowledgable about the wine list.
I didn't catch her name, but someone has done a great job hiring and training.
It was our first time here and we will definitely return again. There is a problem with timing of the food, and that really needs to be improved, but that did not detract from the food itself. We split the chopped salad and the calzone. Both were very good. The chopped salad had almost equal parts of all its ingredients; it wasn't just lettuce. The dressing was flavorful. It would have been nice, though, to have black pepper on the table. The calzone had the perfect amount of filling; the dough was light and crispy and didn't overpower the filling.
Again, the timing is an issue. The calzone came before we had finished our salad, so the calzone was cool by the time we finished our salad. Our server, while very pleasant and knowledgeable, did not check in with us before the calzone was delivered, thus the no black pepper. Minor problems, and will not prevent us from returning again to try other menu items.
Our go-to restaurant. Always reliable and like all the Delfina restaurants, they use top notch and seasonal ingredients. Very family friendly.
Our bottle of wine we ordered was not presented to us. It was opened in the back and then just delivered opened with glasses set on the table.
Every place I've been to presents the wine first to make sure it's the right one and then let's you taste it to make sure it's not corked.
The food was also brought out all at the same time. We felt very rushed. Our waiter was nice but perhaps inexperienced. The place as a whole performed below the standards of what we are used to. And below the standards of what we expected for this company. We've had different better experiences at the San Francisco location.
