Great wood fired pizza. Nice atmosphere, friendly service. A must in Pittsburgh.
My husband and I went for our birthday weekend and it was just what we were looking for. Nothing too fancy but certainly an ambiance worth a celebration. The food was delicious and came out rather quickly, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was intimate. Will definitely be back!
Always a good meal. The best eggplant parmesean in the city!
Great hospitality and service as always. Mike the mgr took great care and checked on us all though the night. Won’t find a better place and staff out there. Food is beyond fantastic. Don’t be a fool and go somewhere else.
One of my favorites in downtown Pittsburgh. The prosciutto and arugula pizza is fantastic. Make a reservation if you don't want to wait.
Had a great meal and service last night. Will definitely return. Thanks to Olga and Christine for making our dining experience so great!! It was awesome celebrating our anniversary in your restaurant.
Went for my birthday loved the menu a great variety of dishes also had a relaxing atmosphere our server was so professional and answered any questions we had, food was delicious served hot and quick it was a very nice evening and I would definitely go again to try other dishes and recommend it to everyone thank you for a wonderful experience!!
Excellent food as always
Great serve and amazing food
Everything we ordered was amazing! The arancini, the pizza, the pasta, the tiramisu — all wonderful! The wait staff was also delightful and attentive. We will definitely be going back!
Olga was great! Hostess or manager with long black hair also amazing. Food always delicious!
The service could have been better, had two different waiters. One of the meals ordered was given to another table (there were four of us). The meal came much later, most of the rest had about finished. We were compensated and did receive an apology. Otherwise, the food was excellent.
Service was very good, never disappointed
Excellent atmosphere, food & service and a nice outdoor setting
We went for dinner for a performance at the Benedum. Food was very good. My son had Chicken Parm with spaghetti and it was delicious , daughter had ravioli and she ate them all ! Mom ordered rigatoni and meatballs, portion was big she received 6 or 7 meatballs ! I had the pizza which was just ok as it had a bit of a burnt taste to it. We would definitely go back though.
Great as always.
Waitress very nice. She forgot our appetizer but did make it right. Both of us ordered linguine florentina. Shrimp in it great! Noodles were regular spaghetti noodles with absolutely no flavor. Disappointed in our dinner.
We've dined here many times and the food is always wonderful. Service is usually good, but tonight it was not. We asked to be seated at a table downstairs but were told the only four-top available was going to be used to seat five people (there were four in our party). We were seated upstairs where there were many tables available, some of which could easily have seated 5 or more people. Some of which already had 5-6 people seated at them. That was problem one. Problem two was that after being seated for over an hour we asked where our dinner was and our server said she would check on it. We were them told they hadn't begun preparing it yet. We told our server we had a show to go to, wouldn't have time to eat, and to just bring our check (we had order some appetizers and wine). She came back with our food. Which we didn't have time to eat. She also presented us with the check in which we were charged for the food we didn't have time to eat. The manager offered to keep our food for us and we could pick it up after the show. Well, the restaurant closes at 11p and our show didn't end until after 11p. While our server was very nice, she also laid the blame on us for not telling her we had a show to go to. Sorry, but I didn't think it was going to take almost two hours for a pasta meal.
Had the steak salad with Caesar. You are getting inconsistent with amount of salad you are serving with either the steak or Salmon. Not even sure if my salad was the small Caesar serve with the steak. The food is delicious and your salads are the best in the city.
It was like being in Italy. The food was fantastic and the music playing in the square so perfect.
What a lovely place!
This is our favorite, go-to restaurant in Pittsburgh - so, so good! The service is always good and the food is always fresh and authentic. They make great pizzas and offer a wide variety of appetizers and amazing pasta dishes (caprese ravioli is delicious). Pollo Scarpiello is always good too. We have never had something we didn’t like - lots of good options to try! Highly, highly recommend!
Delicious vatiety of food and drink. Drove from Ohio. Exceeded out expectation
What I love about this place is the homemade pasta. It is top notch. The prices are a little much especially for lunch and our service was just ok.
Excellent food and service. I highly recommend.(I don’t eat out a lot because I’m a foodie and like my own cooking!) The atmosphere is very urban, you know you’re in the heart of the city. The menu offers many choices without overwhelming. The wine list is extensive and there are many “by the glass” selections. I will go back often!
all in all a very good repeat experience. The waitress never brought any bread to the table. We were unaware until we noticed other tables as we exited...
Went on a Sunday night and it wasn't very crowded. Food didn't seem as good as it normally is and the service was incredibly slow.
The overall experience was so/so. We were disappointed the over look view was very limited by trees and the service was very poor considering we were the only table on the second floor.
It’s my go place at Pizzaiolo! Service was great! I got chicken limone and it was delish! The pizza my husband got sausage...it was tasty but a little disappointed , it needed to be crispier..maybe it was the sausage but pizza needs not to be soggy! More cheese needs too also be put on as when u bite or cut it falls apart?! But I will be back to try again! 👍
Great server named Jeremy. Great place. Top 3 in Pittsburgh!
Great food and service .....go there often and they never disappoint
The best Italian food in the city of Pittsburgh and beyond! Each and every time we go there it is this way, and they treat us like we are someone special! And for this, you get all 10 ratings!!!
responsive to my daughter’s allergies
Great experience. The food and service were both excellent. Our server was awesome - personable and knowledgeable. We sat outside, it was a great experience.
Everything was excellent. Portion sizes are large. Meatball appetizer was very good.
Excellent service and food! The waitress was sweet as could be, and explained the food well and she in the kitchen made a few minor alterations for me to suit my diet. The atmosphere both inside, and on the patio outside where we ate we’re both wonderful. The manager came around and asked how everything was and chatted. What an exceptionally nice place, I will definitely be back!
The food and service were excellent as usual! Great place downtown for lunch.
Good food, good service, lots of energy, a bit loud but probably because there were stalls and lots of action in Market Square.
I love this place! The chef even made a dish that wasn’t on the menu. But 2 of us ordered this dish and he switched up the leftovers. I didn’t even eat half of my meal. I only ate 2 pieces of shrimp and a couple small forks of noodles. So, the next day when I went to eat my leftovers there was only one piece of shrimp and I knew it wasn’t mine. So, I called the other person who got the same dish to see if we could switch but she had eaten it already. So, basically almost the entire meal was wasted. I tossed it in the trash. Then I told my husband that we have to go back so I can enjoy the meal. It’s the best shrimp!
We were in Pittsburgh for a workshop and we walked down to Market Square for dinner at Pizzaiolo Primo. Our server was friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding, very fresh and delicious! The fried Brussels sprouts were awesome, too!
Always come here when we are in the city. Absolutely delicious food, and plentiful vegetarian options. Keep being awesome!
