Love the food, the atmosphere!!! One of my favorites!!!
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Ask for Sara, great bartender and server!
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Pizzaiolo Primo on Saturday night. The food and wine were delicious and the service was outstanding! We look forward to returning soon .
Interesting menu and nice wine list. A warm refuge on a very cold night. Excellent service. The calamari arrabiatta style was great as well as the pasta dishes we had. They could have halved the portion sizes and we would still have had trouble finishing. Outstanding espresso to complement the tiramisu.
Great spot. Consistently good. Our waitress was spot on.
Brought us birthday dessert!
The service was amazing and so was the food. Great atmosphere as well.
Happy Hour was great (loved the margherita pizza!). Great service and drinks and food!
As always an excellent meal!!
Experience was okay. Meatballs tasted very sponge-like. Arancini the best thing we ate. Probably wouldn’t go there again.
Made a reservation 1-1/2 weeks in advance. We were given a small, uncomfortable table that would not hold all of the food we ordered. The table was in the middle of an area where the food was brought out of the kitchen and was continually bothered by servers delivering meals to other tables. The restrooms were by the kitchen so we were further bothered by other patrons using the facilities. My advice would be to get rid of the table.
Our server took a long time to come and take our order and seemed to be the only person working upstairs where we sat. I had put on the reservation that this was a special occasion and there was no mention of it from the host or the server. Don't ask if you aren't going to acknowledge it. The food was good was always. The value is great. Service this time was just off.
Excellent as usual.
Had a great time. Neopolitan Pizza was fantastic, chicken parmigiana and ceasar salad was great and great wine. Very quaint restaurant. Will go back for a special event.
Great wood fired pizza. Nice atmosphere, friendly service. A must in Pittsburgh.
My husband and I went for our birthday weekend and it was just what we were looking for. Nothing too fancy but certainly an ambiance worth a celebration. The food was delicious and came out rather quickly, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was intimate. Will definitely be back!
Always a good meal. The best eggplant parmesean in the city!
Great hospitality and service as always. Mike the mgr took great care and checked on us all though the night. Won’t find a better place and staff out there. Food is beyond fantastic. Don’t be a fool and go somewhere else.
One of my favorites in downtown Pittsburgh. The prosciutto and arugula pizza is fantastic. Make a reservation if you don't want to wait.
Had a great meal and service last night. Will definitely return. Thanks to Olga and Christine for making our dining experience so great!! It was awesome celebrating our anniversary in your restaurant.
Went for my birthday loved the menu a great variety of dishes also had a relaxing atmosphere our server was so professional and answered any questions we had, food was delicious served hot and quick it was a very nice evening and I would definitely go again to try other dishes and recommend it to everyone thank you for a wonderful experience!!
Excellent food as always
Great serve and amazing food
Everything we ordered was amazing! The arancini, the pizza, the pasta, the tiramisu — all wonderful! The wait staff was also delightful and attentive. We will definitely be going back!
Olga was great! Hostess or manager with long black hair also amazing. Food always delicious!
The service could have been better, had two different waiters. One of the meals ordered was given to another table (there were four of us). The meal came much later, most of the rest had about finished. We were compensated and did receive an apology. Otherwise, the food was excellent.
Service was very good, never disappointed
Excellent atmosphere, food & service and a nice outdoor setting
We went for dinner for a performance at the Benedum. Food was very good. My son had Chicken Parm with spaghetti and it was delicious , daughter had ravioli and she ate them all ! Mom ordered rigatoni and meatballs, portion was big she received 6 or 7 meatballs ! I had the pizza which was just ok as it had a bit of a burnt taste to it. We would definitely go back though.
Great as always.
Waitress very nice. She forgot our appetizer but did make it right. Both of us ordered linguine florentina. Shrimp in it great! Noodles were regular spaghetti noodles with absolutely no flavor. Disappointed in our dinner.
We've dined here many times and the food is always wonderful. Service is usually good, but tonight it was not. We asked to be seated at a table downstairs but were told the only four-top available was going to be used to seat five people (there were four in our party). We were seated upstairs where there were many tables available, some of which could easily have seated 5 or more people. Some of which already had 5-6 people seated at them. That was problem one. Problem two was that after being seated for over an hour we asked where our dinner was and our server said she would check on it. We were them told they hadn't begun preparing it yet. We told our server we had a show to go to, wouldn't have time to eat, and to just bring our check (we had order some appetizers and wine). She came back with our food. Which we didn't have time to eat. She also presented us with the check in which we were charged for the food we didn't have time to eat. The manager offered to keep our food for us and we could pick it up after the show. Well, the restaurant closes at 11p and our show didn't end until after 11p. While our server was very nice, she also laid the blame on us for not telling her we had a show to go to. Sorry, but I didn't think it was going to take almost two hours for a pasta meal.
Wonderful food, but we felt packed in a tiny place with waitstaff constantly going very close to our table. When I booked a table I requested to be upstairs, but the hostess wouldn't seat us up there. Instead, we were seated at a small round table by the front door. I wish the restaurant had more room.
Had the steak salad with Caesar. You are getting inconsistent with amount of salad you are serving with either the steak or Salmon. Not even sure if my salad was the small Caesar serve with the steak. The food is delicious and your salads are the best in the city.
It was like being in Italy. The food was fantastic and the music playing in the square so perfect.
What a lovely place!
This is our favorite, go-to restaurant in Pittsburgh - so, so good! The service is always good and the food is always fresh and authentic. They make great pizzas and offer a wide variety of appetizers and amazing pasta dishes (caprese ravioli is delicious). Pollo Scarpiello is always good too. We have never had something we didn’t like - lots of good options to try! Highly, highly recommend!
Delicious vatiety of food and drink. Drove from Ohio. Exceeded out expectation
What I love about this place is the homemade pasta. It is top notch. The prices are a little much especially for lunch and our service was just ok.
Excellent food and service. I highly recommend.(I don’t eat out a lot because I’m a foodie and like my own cooking!) The atmosphere is very urban, you know you’re in the heart of the city. The menu offers many choices without overwhelming. The wine list is extensive and there are many “by the glass” selections. I will go back often!
all in all a very good repeat experience. The waitress never brought any bread to the table. We were unaware until we noticed other tables as we exited...
