Welcome to Pizza on the Lake. We look forward to seeing you
Come and enjoy the sights, smells & tastes of a traditional wood fired Pizza Oven in the beautiful grounds of Rownhams House, the lake side setting is just perfect for Spring time fun and Alfresco dining.
Chilli Pepper Catering have put together a mouth-watering, Italian inspired menu for their pop-up artisan Pizzeria. Homemade dough & hand-crafted Pizzas, from the outside kitchen, "using fantastic local ingredients & keeping it simple is what it is all about"
Pizza by the Lake have completed their risk assessment & assure their guests that every measure will have been thought about for social distancing, cooking & serving food, sanitising & hand washing, rest room hygiene, giving you the greatest of confidence that you are being cared for impeccably in an outside space with plenty of room.
P.S. We do have a wet & inclement weather covered option for you, should "The Great British Weather" not be on our side!!

Great, fast service and lovely ambience even if the weather was dull! The pizza was incredible and although slightly pricy, it was definitely worth the money.

Pizza by the lake in the grounds of Rownhams House is a superb setting. The pizzas by Chilli Pepper Catering are excellent and are cooked fresh for you. Service was great and the staff are all very friendly. Felt really COVID secure as all precautions taken. We have already booked to go on another two occasions. Great food, great staff, great surroundings and great to catch up with our friends - a couple at a time!

The setting is beautiful, the staff are friendly and the food is ok, but I did have a few gripes. We weren't even asked for a drinks order for half an hour after arriving. The pizzas were nice but they were described as 12", and they were considerably smaller than the 12" plates they came on. Also they don't provide cutlery and that's ok for a Margarita but my father-in-law struggled with the toppings. Perhaps the venue description could say bring a knife and fork? Then it would still be Covid safe without having to use disposable cutlery.

A perfect sunny spot in the beautiful grounds for a relaxing lunch. Lovely food, great service. Highly recommended!

Pizza was great, location lovely, and there was a mellow festival feel. However, we prebooked and preordered as suggested but still had to wait for over an hour for our food while watching people who had arrived later than us being served... Adults can manage a wait but trying to keep a hungry 6 year old happy didn't exactly make the evening relaxing... We will probably try again, but will bring snacks.

I think it was busier than expected but we were approached about 40 mins after arriving to ask what we'd ordered via the booking process. Food was about another half hour after that. The serving staff tried really hard but I think there were just too many people for the number of serving staff.

What a lovely place to eat. The pizza was incredible - had the vesuvius, little bit of spice but loved it. Salted caramel pot of ice cream was also lovely. Place is quiet, comfortable and had excellent service. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return.
