This reservation actually never happened because there was a lack of communication between the restaurant, Pizza Beach, and Open Table. The restaurant apparently was in the middle of moving locations and neither party (Open Table nor Pizza Beach) contacted me to let me know. The dinner reservation was for my father’s 60th birthday, so EXTREEMLY upset and disappointed that the dinner plans didn’t work out and that a mistake like this could have happened. Think there should be a better process in place, definitely not a good look for Open Table or Pizza Beach. Also, no one had reached out to apologize yet (to make things worse...)
We went to Pizza Beach for our Sunday lunch and service was disappointing: we asked to leave our stroller next to our table, and even though the place was empty we were told we had to leave it outside the door, which we did. Only, the next 2 families who walked in were allowed to leave their strollers next to them...
However the real issue is that we all got sick from this meal! Not sure if the pizza or the bowl were the culprits, but I was really sorry from having such a bad experience at a place that I always loved so much
Great food and ambience...horrible service! Coffee machine was broken and they didn't seem to care or even suggest going next store. We brought in coffee from next door and they charged us for milk! It was a bridal shower brunch (which they knew) and didn't give us any special attention. We had to chase down our servers several times and they all just seemed tired and unenthusiastic! Disappointing and embarrassing since I organized the party and chose the place!
Love! A new favorite. Interesting / eclectic pizzas. Not great for a picky eater but I really enjoyed it.
It was very empty but was on a Monday night. Excellent pizza.
Great service. And happy time
Food was great, waitress was definitely a little rude. She was kind of snappy because it was hard to hear her. I get Saturday nights are busy, she could’ve been a little more pleasant.
The pizza was excellent, a really creative taste experience and same for the meatballs, great sauce.
We had a fun family meal. Staff were accommodating, able to provide my son with a bowl of pasta even though it wasn’t on the menu. My salad was fresh, interesting and delicious. The pizzas were fabulous and we really enjoyed the peppers too. We’d definitely go back.
Thought the food was AWESOME but didn't love my waitress, she wasn't so friendly. Also, it was a little too dim - I had to use my flashlight on my phone to see my menu
Loved this restaurant. I’ve been to the LES location and this one was just as good. Great vibes great food!
Food was okay but the service was OUTSTANDING and they went above beyond! We ordered gluten free crust and they mistakenly gave us regular. They left us with the two pizzas - great for our non GF friends - and brought us out the correct order. They didn't charge us for any of the pizza's which we really appreciated. They also have some healthy options if you're the one on the group that's not trying to eat pizza! Nice ambiance and great staff!
Best Gluten Free Pizza in NY!!
Great Pizza options and everything tasted great. I would recommend this as a great sit down pizza place for anyone that likes Pizza especially if you need Gluten Free options.
Great restaurant! Pizza was amazing and the service was good too
For 6 people ordering three pizzas a salad and a not pizza item just fed us enough but didn’t leave us overly full! Great pizza!
Food was fine and the service was very good. However, and this is a BIG however, the noise level was much too high. A person in our part has sensory issues and the noise level gave him a severe headache. He had to wait outside until the food came. To be fair, the manager allowed us to sit and eat outside which we did. What could have been a disaster night due to the noise levels turned into a pleasant night because our party of 7 ate outside. It was like a private dining room under the stars. Management went out of its way to help my autistic nephew cope with the noise so thank you for that. But, oh that noise!
Very good food, love the atmosphere! Good place to go if you want something other than the typical types of pizza. They also have salads, nachos, meatballs, etc. if you don't want pizza. Definitely would come back here in the near future.
We had a wonderful waitress, Connie, who was very attentive. Food was yummy and replaced in one instance when over cooked graciously. Love the kale salad and drink selections!
Party of 6 of us. We got 2 margarita pizzas, 2 orders of meatballs and 2 cauliflower. Food came out promptly except one pizza which came about 5 minutes after everything else did. Everything was tasty and service was good and friendly people.
The service was always not great, but the food always used to be solid. They’ve changed their menu so now it’s bad food and bad service. we’ve been there over a dozen times, but will most likely never go back.
Brought my tween daughter here with friends to celebrate her birthday. The staff was incredibly patient and accommodating. They went above and beyond to help make the day special.
The food was pretty good. Watermelon martini was delicious but expensive ($14). Service was very slow.
Restaurant was cute...food was good. Not crowded but service was poor....you had to flag down staff rather than they coming to see what you needed/wanted.
Horrendous. Waited 45 min for our food. We asked the server numerous times if our order was progressing. After 45 min, she admitted it was never placed and would we like to wait for her to put it in. We got up and left.
This isn’t the first time I had terrible service there but it will absolutely be the last time. Never going back.
Waitron was good. Very loud space and it wasn’t full. Place is looking more like an old beach shack could use a fresh coat of paint. Food was meh but cocktail list was good. I’m sure after downing a few, the food would improve.
The pizza was very good. There were a lot of interesting flavors.
Food was good. The hostess was extremely rude. Came by to ask us to speak quietly, the whole place was lively on a Saturday night. She then stood there and basically watched while the whole table stopped talking. She was extremely awkward and strange.
Would definitely get food from here, but would never make it a go-to spot based on this experience.
Great for kids
Say 3 people at a 2 person table that was crammed when there were 3-4 person tables open. Offered to move us 3/4 into the meal which at the time was pointless.
Been going here since it opened a few years back: I feel like the quality of the pizza and menu selection has gone down hill. Definitely putting it lower on my list of places to go.
Very poor service, will not return.
We went with family for a small birthday celebration. We sat outside which was really nice. Wait staff was excellent. They were very accommodating. The food came out in a timely fashion. We had 3 different pizzas that were hot and perfectly cooked. We had mushroom, Hawaiian, and plain. All were delicious. We also got a chocolate mousse cake for dessert which was excellent. This is a great place for families! I would highly recommend it.
Enjoyed excellent food and service and a warm summer evening.
The food is really good especially their 4 cheese pizza and their brussels sprouts salad. The server incorrectly explained what was included in one of the dishes we ordered and when we mentioned it to her once the meal was served she immediately corrected her mistake and didn't charge us for the additional item which was not actually included in the dish but gave it to us because she misspoke.
It was super professional and we appreciated it.
The only downside is acoustics in the place aren't very good so it's hard to hear the people with whom you are dining. But it's a great neighborhood place and I definitely recommend it.
Food is good, kind of pricey for what it is. VERY, VERY loud...so sit outside if you don’t want to scream across the table or only hear the person sitting next to you.
Hostess Destinee sat us down quickly, server was amazing
The food while good is overpriced and the noise level can be high. Overall, a good place to go with kids but too expensive
The food was good. Definitely not an authentic NY pizza, more of a hipster style. I did get the avocado pizza so that's probably on me. The Moscow mule was delicious. The atmosphere was great for a date.
It was great food. The service was sub par. The waiter forgot to put in the order for 2 our of 4 of our orders. Then forgot our second round of drink orders. Everything we had was great but the service was horrible and the price was expensive to not have amazing service.
