   A great neighborhood spot ... convenient to trolley line, with convenient parking at the rear. Server was very engaging and explained the Roman-style pizza which was new to our party. Good portions, delicious, with plenty of beverage choices.

   It’s always a fun time at Pizza Baby. It’s not a huge space, but it has a great vibe. The food is excellent and service is spectacular. I will definitely go back.

   We made a reservation for six people, and when we arrived, we were put in the very back of the restaurant in a separate little storage area that was completely isolated from everything else. We couldn’t see or hear any other part of the restaurant and were stuck in a tiny little area under the stairs which we could barely fit in. We called it the dungeon. Then we ordered wine and were told that the wine we ordered was sold out. Then we ordered another bottle of wine and were told that bottle was sold out too. We ordered a third bottle of wine and when it came and was the worst wine I have ever tasted in my life. Therefore, we ordered a fourth bottle of wine. When they brought the fourth bottle out, they told us they didn’t have any wine glasses for us. Then they proceeded to bring out our salad and three out of the four pizzas we ordered out, but told us they didn’t have any plates or silverware for us. The fourth pizza that we had ordered never arrived. 2 hours after we arrived, we ended up with half our order, no decent wine, no plates, no silverware, and no wine glasses. The part of our order we actually DID receive was okay, but not great. I had to ask for the check to get the heck out of there. And when the check arrived they had charged us for the wine we never got and the pizza we never got. I asked our waiter to take off the pizza and wine and explained to the waiter why it had been a terrible experience. He ended up taking $30 off our check. Gee thanks. Never again!!!!! How is this place getting such good reviews???? I’ve lived in Charlotte for 40 years and have visited literally every restaurant in this City and I’ve NEVER once written a bad review. Ever.

   The Americana style pizza has a fantastic crispy thin crest. We also tried the bacon wrapped dates, and they were soooo delicious! The staff were all great and super friendly. We will definitely go back.

   This was our second visit to Pizza Baby East and it was not the same as the first! I was so disappointed, the Roman pizza was not as spectacular as our initial visit.

   Once again we had the best experience at Pizza Baby East. It has easily become my favorite spot in Charlotte. The food, the vibe, the service are all excellent. It is the perfect neighborhood spot and highly recommend a visit (or two).

   This was our first visit to Pizza Baby. We had the Sicilian pie. It was delicious. Plus, we enjoyed the focaccia. We look forward to returning to this restaurant often.

   Delicious foccacia pizzas! The pesto in particular! We had two issues with this place. 1- the ONE and only server (WAH) is extremely inefficient! She does a whole lotta nothing! We watched her as most tables had to get up to get get attention for something they needed, because she takes your order and then you’ll never see her again! The guy there I guess only buses tables, and lets her know what customers want because she takes so long to reach them. 2- EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!! No reason two people for lunch should spend over 65$ it’s INSANITY!! We might come back for just focaccia pizza and water! That’s it!

    Having been to the FlourShop and Pizza Baby West multiple times, it was time to try Pizza Baby East. Dined there for lunch today - food, service and atmosphere were exceptional! Although Pizza Baby East is better known for its Roman style pizzas (on focaccia bread), we chose to get the traditional round style pizza (served at Pizza Baby West). Shared the Pesto Pie and the Little Gem Caesar salad (very plentiful with some leftovers to take home). Salad was perfect - large portion (enough to share), perfect amount of dressing (not too much or over powering) and wonderful flavor. Pizza was exceptional too! What made the afternoon even more special is the opportunity to see Steven De Falco (one of the co-owners with Trey Wilson) - Steven stopped by our table to welcome us (great hospitality!) and remembered us from the FlourShop and Pizza Baby West (that is one of Steven's exceptional traits!). Totally different atmosphere from Pizza Baby West. Pizza Baby East is much smaller and has a great "neighborhood" feel to it. Although we sat inside, there is wonderful outdoor dining room in the front along Elizabeth which will be great in nice weather. Definitely will be added as a frequent "go to" on our list!
