About
Great pizza. Ask for Candace-best server there! If you have time try the deep dish but plan on 45 minutes
Great Chicago style deep dish pizza! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Very close walking distance to Fiserv, Panther arena, the Marcus and other hot spots. Great rewards program, too. We'll be back!
We went looking for a very particular styleof Chicago
We were in Milwaukee for an event on Saturday morning. A BrewCity 10k run, and the runners wanted to carb up. So we called a couple of places and everyone was full and had no open tables until quite late. We yelped a couple of places and decided to check on open table. They had no wait! We drove over and were seated immediately. Cute place with red and white checkered table cloths, hockey jerseys, tv’s for sports. It was darling! The menu was a nice selection of pasta, pizza and burgers. We settled on a thin crust Rudy’s Special with green olives added. My daughter ordered the Hot Mommas pasta dish. It seemed to take a while, maybe because we were hungry, because it wasn’t terribly busy. Our waitress was attentive and kept or drinks coming. When the food finally arrived, it was worth the wait! She lived her pasta and we almost completely devoured the pizza. The only thing I would say is I loved that it didn’t have an abundance of sauce on it, more just like fresh tomatoes, the crust seemed a little overworked and tough, but still completely delicious. I know pizzas vary by area, so maybe that’s. Milwaukee thing! In all we had a great time! It seemed like they had a nice Carry-Out business going on. My daughters boyfriend ordered a local beer and enjoyed it!
No Bucks game or other big happenings so the place was very quiet. Food was good, decent no pasta and great deep dish pizza. Fresh veggies and excellent sausage. Drinks are good as well. Decor is heavily Chicago sports with some Wisconsin scattered around.
Tables sat after us were attended to before us so we eventually got the attention of the manager and he served us. The wine pour was definitely a 5 glass/bottle pour. Pizza was good; Chicago deep dish lovers all have their favorites and for us, this will not be our favorite but if you like it cheesy with a small amount of chunky tomato sauce, this might be for you. House salad was pretty anemic; house dressing was tasty.
Huge garlic bread. Pizza dark on edges, not personal preference. Very good service
The pizza is OUTSTANDING and the service just as good. Lindsay was our server and she was very attentive and had a great personality. I love this place and highly recommend the pizza and the cookie made fresh in a mini pizza pan with ice cream and whipped cream. We will be back again for sure! We will be regulars.
Service was good. Food was average. Have had better derp dish pizza elsewhere.
Food was delicious, service was great. Will definitely be going back!
Truly enjoyed the ambiance, service and food! A great place to meet and eat before heading to the play at the rep!
Manager came over to talk. Totally positive. We will be back!
Service was great, I had read other reviews and was expecting the staff to be fighting with each other. However they went our of their way to provide good service. My friend enjoyed the food but she likes her food bland. I thought everything was bland and pre-made, tasted like it was poured out of bag from the freezer. I have eaten at the one in Chicago and it was much better. We got the veggie pizza and the vegetables were watery.
Terribly long, long wait between salad and main course.
I was craving s deep dish pizza. Got there only to find out they only offer pork options on their deep dish pizzas. I don’t eat pork so...
Great food great service. Best pizza in central time zone.
Our experience started out bad, with a moderately full dining room, waited 15 minutes before my wife got up to find a waiter. I think it was either an owner or manager who ended up taking our order. Food was good quality. They comped us a round of drinks due to the delay in being served. I think the restaurant will be successful with more experienced waitstaff.
Worst Pizzano’s you can go with the most incompetent manager you can find. A caught the manager yelling and using the F word multiple times to a female bartender because she was concert that the pizza was too cold to bring it to the customers; clearly the manager didn’t care for the customer, the quality of the food or his employees.
Everything was so chaotic we got up and left without a bite. Ended up in another local pizza join on Farewell close to Brady St. Great pizzas and salads there.
Never will comeback to the Milwaukee Pizzano’s. I guess, I will just keep going to the one on State and Delaware in Chicago; I have been going there for 10 years.
