   We came here for Mother’s Day after a day at the zoo. The place was pretty empty but had a cool industrial look to it. Our server was attentive and kind. We ordered the bread with jam and cheese as an appetizer and it wasn’t anything special. Way overpriced. There was a special Mother’s Day brunch menu they were offering so I decided to get the eggs Benedict. It was served on the same baguette type of bread slices as the appetizer and it was hard as a rock. The eggs weren’t done and the crispy potatoes had absolutely no seasoning on them. Very bland. I was disappointed. My server recommended the omelette so I asked for that instead and it wasn’t better than the Benedict but also lacked flavor. This place has a cool atmosphere but they need to work on the food which is the most important part of a restaurant.

   Great beer and food. The schnitzel was excellent and my wife had the goulash — which was amazingly tender. Very nice staff too. Will come back whenever I’m in Waco.

   We’ve been a few times and this time I tried the Braised short rib goulash. Wow, what a meal Another at our table had her favorite, the pork shank (again). This is a unique place in Waco and is well worth your time to visit and enjoy.

   Pivovar was a terrific experience! The menu was nicely done to include a variety of starters, entrees, wines and beverages, and desserts. It was a very affordable, yet sophisticated, restaurant. When in Waco again, Pivovar will be a strong contender for a repeat visit!

   Food was so-so. Salmon on plank was dry and sauce on top appeared like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for a while (we were told 3 times our order would be right out.) Side of broccolini was tough & chewy. Policy does not allow any substitutions on sides. Schnitzel was bland, and there was an up-charge for a side sauce, where other restaurants often include a sauce. Despite it being advertised “Scnitzel Sunday” (buy one schnitzel, get one 50% off) we were charged full price for both. Would not return for the food. On the upside, the beer was good, and the ambiance was nice sitting with a view of the beer tanks.

   The food was excellent! I had the Czexan Schnitzel with the mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes. The Pretty in Pink drink was very refreshing. The chocolate cake was yummy! We had a great waiter named Noah who was very informative and attentive. We can’t wait to come back!

   The food was delicious and Ambrosia and Noah provided excellent service. We’ll definitely be back to try other dishes!
