The prime rib didn't not have any flavor. The French fries sounded better in description, just parm sprinkled on top. The presentation of the food was great, but priced high for taste.
Totally enjoyable says it all!
We had prime rib and walleye, with wedge salads and side dishes. Food was outstanding. The waiter was outstanding - friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the craft beer selection. I will go back.
We enjoy Pittsburgh Blue when in Rochester. The server was amazing and we felt safe.
Beef done to perfection. They have a plus system (like medium rare plus) that allows you to get it done just the way you want.
We will do it again. Enjoyed everything. Steaks were done perfectly and hash browns set the whole meal off.
It was so nice to be back at Pittsburgh Blue post quarantine. We went early in the evening so we practically had the place to ourselves. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Dinner was paced appropriately and it was very clear that the staff were trying to provide as normal an experience as possible. Everyone was wearing masks and and taking appropriate precautions, but it wasn't overbearing. Tables are all well spaced and I would have felt comfortable if all the tables were completely occupied. I am so looking forward to going back and to experiencing a more expanded menu. I miss their lobster roll!
The food was excellent and the service was even better. Will return for another special occasion.
My wife and I were looking for a nice dinner when we were in town and happily surprised with everything that the Pittsburgh restaurant gave us. The food was very good the staff was very polite and it’s just an all round great dinner
We were looking for a good steak in the Mayo Clinic area and found it. With this being my last meal for a month due to health reasons saying I was looking forward to it would have been an understatement. The main issue was the service. It seemed like my wife and I were an inconvenience from the start. We are in our late 20s and I feel like that leads to bad service from time to time but we have the benefit of the doubt. I get the need to ID but after ordering a drink and not getting ID my wife proceeded to order one after having a soda. The response was 1 word “ID” he stared at it for a good minute flipping it over a few times before giving it back without saying a word. We’re from Ohio so I get the IDs look different but still rude. I had some questions about the menu and all the responses were very short. As service ended I feel my frustrations were felt and it began to get better but still for the price we were paying this was unacceptable. We still left a 18% tip because we didn’t want to play into the stereotype that young couples don’t tip well. Needless to say in our return visits to Mayo Clinic we will not be returning.
We had a wonderful date night! Food was amazing and Shyler did a great job as our server!
Great food. Excellent service.
We celebrated a birthday with 7 of us, all the meals were perfect, wine was excellent, and service was great, can't wait to go again,,, the side dishes are truly large enough to share and even tho the prices seem high, the quality and quantity make it well worth it
Overall a good place to eat. Comparable pricing to other chain steakhouses. They simply over season their meat. Good, not great food.
The experience was first class from start to finish.
A favorite place to go for a good steak. Mushrooms are a must have. Excellent wine list.
Great food and great service!!! Excited to go back again!
Our regular servers were back and nice to see them. The menu was somewhat more limited but for the most part complete. we did have to wait an unusually long time for our food to come out of the kitchen. The order was wrong, we ordered a horseradish crusted steak medium well and got a bleu cheese crusted steak that was well done.
They just opened back up and short staffed. Still, Dorian was excellent and the food lovely. Kind of pricey, though.
Great bar atmosphere & bar menu. Had a cocktail & appetizer. Friendly bartender. Moved to dining area for dinner. Classy, quiet & comfortable. Excellent server. Probably the best filet mignon I have had.
The food was excellent, the staff was great as well.
The restaurant was a joy to see.
First time at Pittsburgh Blue - highly recommend, appetizers were on point - had Calamari and Maple Glazed bacon. We all ordered steaks - all were prepared perfectly and were some of the best steaks we've had in Rochester. Sides were asparagus and loaded mash potatoes.
Was boring. Nothing really to recommend a return visit.
Great dining experience with very friendly and approachable staff. Waiter exceptional. Food well prepared.
Awesome experience, great food, fast service, nice environment.
Overall good experience. The food was not as spectacular as I was hoping! The wine was delicious!!
It just was not good. The wedge salad lettuce was brown. I ordered shrimp stuffed with crab and it was cold and fishy tasting. Not sweet like crabmeat is. I only ate half just to be polite.
Great service! Great food! And very accommodating to special requests!
I took my Family of 5 to Pittsburgh Blues on Saturday night. My Sons both ordered Fillet Mignon which were very good. My Wife ordered the Crab stuffed shrimp which was good. My Mother and I both ordered the Queens Cut Prime Rib which was unfortunately very tough and tasteless. I have been in the restaurant business for 25 years, so I write this not with the hope that I am given a discount, but rather the hope that you are aware. With the prices you charge, patrons should be walking away with a true dining experience feeling, rather than feeling they had been taken advantage of. While the majority of the Food was good, but it wasn't worth the $300+ bill that I received.
Consummate steak house experience. High quality steak and delicious sides. Friendly staff
Great place. The word around Rochester there expensive but my wife and I really wanted go and try it so we went for our Valentines Date and we feel in love with the place. And,it’s not expensive. Our server was really nice and took the time to explain the entire Pittsburgh Blue experience. They have a great Sunday special that my wife had and she loved it. I picked a steak it was cooked perfectly and tasted excellent. We will go back and we where only going to try it once. So if your on the fence about going pick a date night and give it a try you’ll be back.
I thought the prime rib was excellent but have a problem with the potato and salad not being part of the meal and not $10 each extra. That in itself will probably keep us from returning.
I could cook a steak better at home. Why it's better than Steak places in Rochester, it's defiantly not worth the cost. Service was very good.
We had a wonderful dinner, excellent service provided by the bartender to begin with as well as the hostess and all of our wait staff. The food was absolute perfection, as usual!
Paid for a ‘special’ that was just a reworded item off the menu and then given the run around when I asked on it. Steak wasn’t that special... save your money and find a better place, the food at outback is better
The service: amazing!
The drinks: oh so good!
The atmosphere: a little dim in the dining area, but nothing bad. Didn’t have to use flash for our date night photo or squint to read menus.
The food: fantastic! The steak was the most tender and the greens were wonderfully baked. Be aware, most things are served a la carte, so sides must be ordered separate. Makes everything a little pricey. The only negative I can say about the experience is that the food was too salty. If only one thing had been salty and the others not, it would have been nicely balanced, but the meat was salty, the bread was salty, and the veggies were salty. Ask for things with no or less salt, I guess.
Overall: amazing! But maybe only a once-a-year or every-two-year kind of meal. ($$$$)
Waiter was great, steak was amazing the chicken was ok, place is beautiful and very elegant.
Excellent steak! Very friendly, kind, accommodating and professional staff.
The resturant is pretty neat our food wasn’t as high end as I thought it would be. My steak was over seared almost burnt the mash potatoes were excellent
The food was great and the services also great. The restaurant was a little on the noisy side but it was a full house. Will be going again.
