Pittsburgh Blue - Maple Grove Ratings and Reviews
Salmon entree is the best around although the preparation was a little undercooked for my wife’s taste. I tried the hamburger thinking that they would certainly serve up a winner. Disappointing as it was very average as compared to other steak joints like Ike’s,
Made a reservation for a belated birthday dinner for my husband and a couple of our friends. None of us had been to this restaurant before, so we weren't sure what the expect. Our waiter was great - acknowledged right away that we were there for a special occasion, explained the menu to us and checked back often. Food was also very good. Three steaks, some sides and a chicken club sandwich - all were good. Will be back again.
Dropped well over $250 for aa anniversary meal for my wife and I. My Prime Rib was cold. I sent it back! The same piece of meat was sent back out to me after being put into some kind of oven. It was then hard as a rock and tasteless. This is too high end of a restaurant to have this happen. I will drive to Manny’s, Capitol Grille, or Ruth Chris next time. Never again will I waste money here!
Made reservation a month ago and asked for a booth due to hearing issues. Booth was not available. No apology. Server was excellent. Food was fair. Fish and steak tasted good but were served luke warm. Even though indicated Birthday celebration in reservation nothing was even acknowledge. For the amount of money spent could have gotten a better meal somewhere else. Will not return. Too many other fine restaurants in the cities.
Our wait person was excellent. My husband and I split the large prime rib cut. After our first couple of bites we both expressed our disappointment that it was quite tough. Our wp was very timely on asking how everything was. She immediately took it back and brought 2 king cuts done to perfection! We have always had excellent prime rib and steaks in the past. We will definitely be back.
Food tasted amazing but my prime rib was cold and my husband’s steak was cold. My mother’s steak was cold as well but tasted amazing. We told the server, she mentioned it to her manager and they took care of our appetizers. Other than that, everything else was great.
We have been here just to meet with friends before going out. This was the first time we had an actual sit down meal and it was bomb. The waiter knew anything and everything to do with the menu. Guided us through every question we had. We can’t wait to go again!
Went with friends for my husband’s birthday. Just our second time there, everything was great again.
Wonderful drinks, apps, sides and entrees. And the service was fantastic. The night was capped with a complimentary piece of red velvet cake, candle and all. What was missing was the singing—which was a welcome omission! It was the perfect choice to spend a night out with friends.
Great service, Stacey was really a great server,
The Porterhouse steak was really a bad cut.
Steaks are over priced, and $4.95 for one shrimp add on for shrimp cocktail was a little much.
Would it hurt to have 6 for two people instead of 5 shrimp.
the filet was awesome had a surf and turf was really good but $$$$$$$$
Creme Brulee was great
We went for my birthday. It was my first time every being there. The food was amazing. I enjoyed watching the wait staff and cooks back in the kitchen. I had the steak and lobster, and it was fantastic. Anywhere I go that is my go to meal if it is available. At Pittsburg Blue I have to say the steak was the best I have ever had. I would go there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a good spot to go out to eat whatever the occasion.
We have gone to this Pittsburgh Blue when it first opened quite some time ago. It was so awful we thought for the price and quality of what we were served, the restaurant would be closed down soon. Now many years later with full parking lots and great reviews, we decided to give it another chance. Am I glad we did! The service, which is my main gripe lately, I could find no fault. The food, as the server put my prime rib on the table and read my face as I looked at endless fat and grizzle, offered with genuine apologies to exchange it. The replacement was out quickly and what a difference from the first one. Just the normal areas of fat that you see on prime rib, and done perfectly. So I do feel bad that I had to exchange a dish, but it was well worth the wait and I didn't feel I was being judged. Will definitely return!
