Asked to not be sat in the middle of the room and that is exactly where were were sat while there was plenty of seating around the outer part of the room. Also found a curly black hair in our mushrooms. It was super gross and ruined the desire to want to eat anything.
I always look forward to dining here, I absolutely love the food and the service is amazing, servers are loaded with info on menu items and are exceptionally kind. Some people may find the prices a little above budget, but you absolutely get what you pay for. I will be back every chance I get.
Was a great date! Nice table, lighting, and temperature . It was awesome!!
Our server Taylor was very personable and efficient !
Apps were hot and delicious! Our main courses were luke warm to cold on all of our $30-$50 steaks.
I wanted to try Pittsburgh Blue after driving by it for many years. Several friends have enjoyed going there, so I made a reservation to celebrate birthdays. Parking was difficult. We had to wait a few minutes for our table. The service was attentive and caring. We all ordered some form of beef. It didn't take long for the food to arrive. It was prepared well, and tasted good. The cook did misread the preparation instructions for my sister's scallops. The staff graciously offered to make it right by bringing a new order prepared correctly. Unfortunately, one of those two scallops was undercooked. However at that point, she had had enough to eat, so we didn't say anything about it. My wife and sister each received a complimentary red velvet cake which was very good and a thoughtful of Pittsburgh Blue. Overall, a good meal and experience. But if I'm going to spend that kind of money, it needs to be exceptional and it falls short of that.
Great meal great atmosphere for my Wife's birthday :)
When I dine out for an expensive steak, I expect to be "wowed." There was no wow factor from my steak. I ordered a double porterhouse steak, but there was no melt in my mouth juiciness. I also ordered hash browns and while the plate was plentiful, an addition of rosemary would have improved the taste and an option of garlic should have been given.
We met family members for a birthday celebration. We were greeted with a sincere desire to make our family situation a fun event. The service was wonderful!
WAY overpriced average food. Cram you in there like sardines. Condescending waiter. Spotlights on the booths so you feel like you're being presented.
Would only go again if given a gift card.
Peter was our waiter
Great service and very personable!
He had great suggestions
All the food was top shelf.
Cheesecake was the best I’ve had in many years!
I’ve been many times, but tonight was awful. The food was cold...
Server was too busy, and I never complain. It was all around terrible.
Did not meet the request for a round table on 48 hour reservation. Disappointed.
We been there before with family from Florida and they told there friend when they came to visiting Minnesota. My wife want to go their for her birthday. We have very good time and food was excellent.
Staff was pleasant, professional and engaging all around. Food was prepared to perfection (we all had high end steaks) with well portioned side dishes. The restaurant had a high end finish that were well maintained and clean.
I highly recommend Pittsburgh Blue for special occasions, business meetings and an after work drink.
Food was good. Service great. My medium steak was a little overdone. Very noisy restaurant.
Been here several times.... this last time 3-4 steaks were over cooked or under cooked. Very disappointed.
Food was average, price was ridiculous. Long time since we’ve been there, it will be an even longer now. Could’ve gotten a better steak and overall food at Biaggis, Malone’s and the lookout.
Very good dinner with friends.
The food was great, but the atmosphere is just ok. It seems like they have crammed so many tables in the bar and restaurant, that unless you're in a booth, your dining with the people at the next table. What was once an upscale steak place is now a high priced family friendly restaurant. Kids and babies everywhere. And i feel like they couldn't get you out of there fast enough. Probably to turn the tables. We were in and out in just over an hour. I've checked it off my list for the final time.
I love Pittsburgh Blue. I've eaten there twice and both times have been great experiences. The service is quick and friendly. The atmosphere is fun and the food is fantastic.
I rarely order steaks at restaurants because I'm never happy with them. I feel confident when paying for a nice steak at Pittsburgh blue because they always deliver. My group's food was 100% accurate and delicious.
From the moment my wife and I walked in the door we felt welcome. We were sat immediately during the busy dinner service thanks to our reservation with OpenTable.
I don't like to eat in restaurants that I believe to be pretentious. Thankfully, Pittsburgh Blue walks the line between offering a classy experience that is also low-key.
After two great visits to Pittsburgh Blue, I'm confident in saying that trips to other steak houses will be far and few between. With such a great restaurant in my back yard, there's no need to look elsewhere!
Steaks were surprisingly delicious! I plan to make this a go to when in the area.
Larger groups were catered to. The two of us were ignored. Horrible service
Always too noisy, but great food. Our waiter, Tony, was absolutely wonderful!
With one exception, some very chewy lobster, everything was very very good. Our server was great and I love that you cracked and pulled the meat from my crab legs!
Celebrating our anniversary , had a great table , good waiter, and delicious food
This place was loud beyond belief. To be fair the food was great, but to spend $500 for a dinner for 6 and not be able to hear each other speak was very disappointing. If they had a take-out menu, I could go eat the food where I could hear the other people in my party. Otherwise, this was my first and last visit. Next time I want to go to a good steakhouse I'll go to the time-tested places in the Twin Cities.
Lobster was rubbery, steak was fine but what made it my 1st and last visit was the foil in my ladies brandy alexander. Mngr offered a new drink, obviously, but when your soending $200 for dinner for two people i think the least they could have done was clear our bar tab.
2/3 of us got Prime Rib. (Queen's cut - 10oz.) 1/3 got the hot appetizer sampler with two types of shrimp, crab cake, and calamari.
Both who ordered Prime Rib got it medium rare. One of them was a bit too rare so we sent it back and they immediately took care of it.
The plate that the hot appetizer sampler came with was very awkwardly shaped and made it hard to eat some of the items at a smaller table, but they were very good.
We had a 7:30 reservation on a VERY packed Friday night. I was sat down at a table just before 7:30. The front staff seating people was VERY friendly.
Top notch food and service. One of our favorite places.
GREAT food, wonderful service... restaurant was busy and noisy but staff were very friendly.
Our 53rd Anniversary Dinner, Pittsburg Blue out did our old stand by for special occasions JAX Cafe!
WONDERFUL RESTAURANT....GREAT STAFF!... YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Great place but expensive. Perfect for a very special occasion.
The steaks are great! The seafood salad with crabmeat had pieces of the shell mixed in and wasn’t very tasty. My fish was just OK, nothing fantastic. When dining at this steak house stick with steaks. It was a birthday dinner and was noted on the reservation but no birthday congratulations we’re mentioned by our waiter or their staff.
Fabulous food, great drinks, all-in-all amazing. Definitely, will be going back!
Amazing scallops and great service! Highly recommend Pittsburgh Blue!!
A great place to celebrate our 55th Anniversary at a great restaurant with good service and friendly staff
Had the Filet Oskar - the crab cake was wonderful, and the steaks there are always great. Done exactly as we requested. They have imaginative cocktails, too. Reservations encouraged.
My husband and I went to Pittsburgh Blue to celebrate my birthday. We made reservations through Opentable. When we arrived we were seated promptly. Our waitress was great in explaining all the different steak options, as we're not big steak eaters. Food was delicious, albeit very "heavy" which definitely makes this a special occasion kind of restaurant. I did not on our reservation it was my birthday and I wish they would have acknowledged it with dessert or something a little extra. I didn't want to make a fuss so didn't remind them. Otherwise, the night would have been perfect.
Always impressed with the food and service is always top notch!
