Pittsburgh Blue - Edina Ratings and Reviews
From the minute we walked into the minute we left, we were treated amazingly. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and helped us with our dinner choices, she knew the drink menu inside and out, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is absolutely amazing!
We really enjoyed our family birthday celebration. The service was just right - kept the water glasses full and the extra used dishes off the table - and the general noise level was perfect for conversation, with classy music selections. We especially loved the steaks. Simply fabulous. Great vegetable sides and lovely loaded mashed potatoes. A superb evening. Thanks!!
Ambience and service were “the best”. However between my Prime tenderloin sandwich and my wife’s shrimp salad, Neither had any taste. The AuJus...No Taste! We were both looking forward to dining at Pittsburgh Blu...saw the photos on the web site..everything looked so good and delicious but....No flavor...None!!!&@
It was awful. Service sucked. Food took forever and manager was rude while I was having allergic reaction. We will NOT be back. No point in spending WAY TOO MUCH. To be treated like crap. Spending the night in ER cause they don't know their menu or listen when you tell them your allergy is poor bussiness.
Delicious. The mushroom capped filet is amazing! My husband got the blue cheese crusted filet, which he also really liked. The spinach artichoke dip was watery and flavorless, but their house garlic bread (complimentary) was fantastic. The broccoli was very good, as were the loaded mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a bit too liquid and semi-soft, but they were edible and tasted pretty good. As a side note, they have several wine options that are not included on the wine menu, which is weird, but the wait staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating when you inquire regarding additional options.
We went out for a couples date night, meeting at the bar for drinks before making our way to the dining room to for dinner. Our server was very patient and extremely friendly to the point of remembering and using all of our names during the engagement.
We had surf and turf meals with the men ordering the horseradish crusted filet and the bone in ribeye, both of which were served at the ordered temperature and were quite delicious. Our wives were surf, opting for the salmon and walleye - the former was thoroughly enjoyed while the walleye was not as it seemed to lack taste despite the cumbersome breading. The sides of mashed potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms were unremarkable at best. We included dessert of red velvet cake which was quite good as well as some hot espresso martinis that were well suited for a very cold evening - unfortunately these drinks were far to sweet to be consumed and seemed to have had a negative impact on one of our diners stomachs.
All in all it was an ok experience, but not one that I would hurry back for.
We went to Pittsburgh Blue in Edina on a well deserved date night - we had heard good things from friends.
The food and service was really good, but a little too pricey for more than an occasional meal.
Overall we thought it was really good and will definitely be back
Family Christmas Eve brunch. Could not have gone off better. From the coat check to the final desert, we were treated like family. I highly recommend Pittsburgh Blue-Edina for special occasions, business meals and just because I want a great meal prepared and served by talented skilled professionals.
The best part of our visit was the service. Top notch! Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. This was our first visit to Pittsburgh Blue. Our salads had fresh ingredients, but dressings were disapointing. My husband's steak was very good. I was underwhelmed by my crab stuffed shrimp. I was excited for the loaded mashed potatoes, but they were runny. I did like the bacon they used. Probably won't go back.
